This is a great tour to explore this region and see the beauty of the Swiss mountains. The tour guide gave us great info as we were driving and then we were able to explore on our own. A good mix of information and enough time to enjoy the mountains

Kid was the best tour guide! This trip was spectacular! We would have liked to spend more time in Interlaken VS Grindelwald. They are both great places.
This experience for me was fun because it was last minute. And didn't cost a Fortune for one day. That was my Birthday gift to my self last minute. I ENJOYED it. Thank Viator for making my Birthday gift to me possible.
The trip was great and the guide was knowledgeable and made sure we all felt like VIPs. Would recommend!
signed up for this tour because of many positive reviews. A chance to see much of Switzerland. Supposed to be time for exploration in Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindewald.. From the moment we got on the bus our tour guide was trying to upsell us to Jungfraujoch which we declined. We spent maybe 40 minutes in Interlaken without the guide, and the maybe fifteen minutes in lauterbrunnen to take a picture of a distant waterfall. The our guide left us to take a group to Jungfraujoch. Our bus driver then took us to Grindewald and left us for four hours. Glad to have seen much of Switzerland but highly disappointed with tour giude/u[psell pressure. Also the location for meeting the bus was not clearly marked or identified on my mapping program and we spent several anxious minutes searching for bus
Our guide Kid was excellent! Very informative and eager to take our pictures in every location. He was funny, friendly and protective in keeping us safe and together throughout our journey.
First of all, it's costly. To really make it an awesome trip, you will have to add to extra 180chf. However, it's well worth it imo. Kid was an excellent guide and great photographer. Our driver was top notch. The owner, owes us some refund because the wifi didn't work and he was very nasty about it. Wish we had more time in Interlaken. Still an great tour.
Beautiful scenery with an amazing tour guide named Kid. Kid made the tour exciting and took so many photos of us with all different backgrounds. It was an incredible experience. It was like we were on a private photo shoot.
The places were amazing. The tour guide was not very nice. I think his name was Kid we did everything on our own, but guessing you get what you paid. Interlanken and Grindelwald worth the visit.
It was a great day. We saw the best of Switzerland. The Swiss alps is amazing! We lived the guide. He is funny, helpful, passionate and knowledgeable.
Beautiful time at Grendel’s could of been little shorter and more time in interlake should let people know that a lot of places only took cash no card
Awesome. Our tour guide made this experience truly fun, informative and well organized. View was breathtaking
Before booking read the reviews carefully because our experience was the same as all the travellers who did not buy the extra package. We paid a lot of money to take a bus and be dropped off at two locations with NO guidance or information. While we knew we would not have a guided tour in Interlaken and Grindelwald - we expected to be given some helpful information/tips and not just be dropped off. Once we got to Interlaken our “tour guide” left to take people who had paid an extra $170 CHF and we did not see him again until driving back to Zurich. We had no information given to us about the options for cable car rides etc…. We were dropped 10 minutes outside the town in a parking lot with all the other travellers who had not bought the extra package. We had no idea where to go or what our options were for cable car/train rides up the mountains. This could have have all been avoided with some simple guidance and information - but our tour guide was not even on our bus. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade and come on the tour with him for $170 CHF - CASH only - he even offered to guide us to a bank machine. Do NOT waste your money. Take the train. It was a very expensive day with no guidance whatsoever.
We found both the Interlaken and Grindelwald tours be filled with many exciting sights to see. Our Tour Guide (Kid) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall it was a fantastic tour, but be prepared for a lot of walking.
You are paying for a bus to take you around the Swiss alps which was amazing and beautiful, however the tour guide was very rude! He was telling me something on the bus, the time we had to meet, I got confused and just wanted to check as I didn’t want to get it wrong to which he had a massive go at me, walked away saying the sh*t I have to put up with to everyone on the bus, making me feeling small and very upset, for a young solo traveller. After arriving the first stop everyone started following him, not knowing where to go or what to do, and told many people to “go away”. Not explaining that they don’t need to follow him and help where they should go. After the second stop I couldn’t find the bus, I tried calling the guide to find out where to go as he gave everyone his number. He just ignored me and replied don’t call me , not helping a young solo traveler in a foreign country. After playing a lot of money for this trip I left very unhappy and was really looking forward to this excursion!
Good day trip from Zurich, the tour guide was nice, helpful and a good laugh. Driver did well to beat time in Lucerne / Zurich rush hours. About the right amount of time to spend in Interlaken and Grindelwald. We did the option that did not have Jungfraujoch included and there was plenty of time to buy own tickets and explore the mountain.
Our guide Hans and driver Lawrence were outstanding!!! They made our excursion both exciting and informative. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is in the Zurich area.
This is not a tour nor an experience, it’s pretty much transportation. It would be nice to be told that you’re going to be sharing transportation with another group that’s doing a more expensive and fancier tour to the top of the highest peak in Europe. The Tour Guide left with that Group at the first stop and we were alone with the driver. The second stop, again we were on our own and we had to pay for additional activities, which is fine but for the price, I wouldn’t expect at least a bottle of water.
Great day! Interlaken was closed as a result of a marathon. So not much of a review for that stop. Grindenwald was a great area. Took the Gondola to the top and walked around the village.
Gorgeous landscape , nice guide and a good bus driver, plenty of free time, very clean bus with WiFi, easy accessible at Bus station
I expected to learn more while on the bus about the areas we were traveling thru and to. Basically I paid for a bus ticket. The bus driver was wonderful and a very good driver. Hans was nice he just didn’t educate us on much.
I like the way they organized the group. Timing is perfect. John or Hans and Novensky our driver made our journey more enjoyable. I love it everything in the way!!!
Travellers need to read details of tour very carefully. I found many travellers mistaken Kid ( our tour guide) , not responsible. Kid are the best in Europe that we had met ( we did numerous of tour around Europe. ) The problem are the details of tour need to be carefully read by travellers. At our various European tour , they call them Tour Directors at Trafalgar, Cost Saver , Insight Vacations . I my personal opinion no one can compare with Kid ( he from Asian) . We will voted him the best of all .
The Guide" Kid" was really useless. Left us on our own at Interlaken with driver only available at Grindelwald. I have never in my life seen a tourist guide so money minded...as he says himself he does not need friendship but only money. Whats the use of hiring a tour operator when we had to find our way by ourself in Interlaken and Grindelwald. The places of visit were great but the guide service was horrible. Think twice if you have a guide whose name is " kid".
Kid is the best tour guide - to be honest I wouldnt have upgraded my itinerary if not for him and how he made realize what I shouldnt be missing. He’s funny to be around with and a great photographer too! The places we visited were all amazing and it was all worth it! 🔥
The tour guide Kid was amazing, he makes sure all people from to tour will be able to take a good picture, he was so funny and friendly, about the tour itself The views and the places were awesome, however I did the tour " Jungfraujoch- top of Europe" it was beautiful and the weather was nice , I am glad I did this tour , otherwise I will be in Interlaken town by my own So if you are taking this tour better to take the tour " Jungfraujoch- top of Europe instead
This is an amazing experience!!! Kid was the greatest tour guide ever! He made everyone feel welcomed and happy. We traveled with two young kids and Kid made the experience very comfortable and our two toddlers had the best time ever. Kid also created a wholesome and kind environment on our tour bus with other families. It was the highlight of our trip for sure. Kid is the best tour guide ever.
Do not book this trip we paid almost £90 each for nothing more than a long long coach ride. You get no information no tour guide when you get dropoed off, only to find they try to sell you another trip to Jungfrau for an additional £260 each. Interlaken, limited time. I am fit and we didn't get enough time to walk to either lake. Not pretty and nothing there apart from some shops and coffee shops. So boring. Grindelwald. Dropped off and left to walk into town, very little to do. No maps given, no information on what or where to go then a 3 hour or more ride back to Zurich. This is a total con DO NOT use this company, absolute disgusting to take money of people like this
It is a long day but worth it! Kid our guide was amazing and fun! We could not get all the way to the ‘top of Europe’ but the company refunded us. They really tried but train track problems occurred not the company’s fault.
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The host was very entertaining and it’s a trip I will never forget.
This is not a tour is just the transportation to Interlaken and Grindelwald the guide not even explain about these places it’s not worth its better public transportation by train
You can hardly say it was a tour, it was more like we will take you from one place to another, but you explore yourself. The guide had a very unique personality, which can make people feel uncomfortable at times. He was quite funny and took a lot of nice pictures for us while on the bus, which we really appreciate. He offered to take pictures of us on numerous occasions. The views are spectacular, but be aware you get basically no guidance, which is very disappointing for this amount of money. I feel we could have enjoyed the tour more if we took a train ourselves, but we thought it would be less confusing and more informative with a guide. Little did we know!
Excellent trip with amazing people and host. Very engaging and knowledgeable trip Protective and knowledgeable guide.
This was a huge disappointment! We already knew that we would encounter rain. However, the guide (a man named Kid) told us no rain at all. We were miserable due to the cold and rain the entire day! Do not go if it is raining. We suffered through Kid's obnoxious behavior on the way to Interlaken. He was so loud that I had to take out my hearing aids to tolerate him. And he was pushy. At one point, he said, "Give me your phone". I asked why, and he never answered me; he just turned to someone else and said, "She doesn't like me, she said why". Umm... there's a big difference between "give me your phone" and "I'm happy to take your picture if you give me your phone". Then, like others have said, he went around the bus trying to upgrade people for the side trip that he was taking folks on. We never saw him again until he re-joined the bus on the way back from Grindelwald. Both Interlaken and Grindelwald are tourist towns full of souvenir shops. We didn't take the tram up the mountain in Grindelwald because we were told the clouds made any views disappointing, so we spent the next 4 hours in and out of stores, dodging the rain until the bus came for us. It's a 2-hour bus ride out and a 3-hour bus ride back. The countryside is beautiful, but would probably have been better enjoyed as a train ride. We didn't tip Kid, instead giving the money to the two college-age women that he left behind at the first stop in Interlaken and told them to have drinks on us. They had forgotten the time to re-board the bus at the first stop in Interlaken and told us that Kid was unresponsive when they reached out to him via WhatsApp. They took a train from Interlaken and caught up with us in Grindelwald. One of them was in tears and the other highly distressed.
Firstly i was not told about the other packages my friend paid extra and i had to also pay extra so i was not on my own the tour guide basically stated that if we were going on his tour he would not look after us. If this was stated in the begining i would have been aware. Me and my friend went on two completely different tours.
Our tour guide Kid was amazing!!! He truly made the experience so much fun and very memorable. The cities are very beautiful and completely breathtaking. Thank you Kid for a great time! :)
It is a green pasture experience for me and my family. My sincere thanks to Mike and the entire Viator team to make it happen for me and my family.
Beautiful trip to the Alps. Road the cable car up to top of lift area. Weather was perfect. Warm and sunny at the top.
We booked for interkaken and grindelwad trip , but due to low numbers was asked if we would like to go to jungenfrau as a extra which we did , and so glad we did what a experience the weather was stunning couldn’t be any better , Raymond our guide was excellent taking photos of everyone allways had loads of time , explained things clearly brilliant trip
Unfamiliar with the meeting point, I wouldn't have been able to find it without reading other customers' experience, and checking the website- the information wasn't on the ticket. The guide was friendly and helpful, the trip was lovely- and we had beautiful weather. Again, for the optional extras, make sure to bring cash, as mentioned in reviews - they don't have a card machine. But overall, a great experience- they did their best to accommodate us with whatever we wanted to do.
What an amazing tour. The scenic beauty of switzerland from a comfortable bus. The driver and tour guide were very friendly. Grindelwald, the cable car and Interlaken were so beautiful Highly recommended tour.
Our tour guide and bus driver were really nice and Grindelwald was wonderful. Don't forget to take extra cash to go to Mount First. It's totally worth every penny!
Like any other tour, it's time permitted so you would feel rushed at times. Otherwise, it was a well organised tour and they were very clear with what you need to do to be back on time for departures. I recommend to run down to the mouth Brienzersee when you get to Interlaken, the views were spectacular. We power walked it and got there in 20 mins. We found there was enough time at Grindelwald to make your way up to Mt. First and enjoy the views.
first,.the meeting point details is so confusing,we got lost and almost missed the tour, when we come there,we are told not to trust the google maps!LOL!we are in a foreign country so we need to use the map so we can find our place.next time make it more simple, infront of fred hotel is a good meeting point details than to use the address you are providing. secondly, the time in interlaken is limited,we feel that we are rushed.and nothing to explore that we expected, just expensive shops,no nature or good things to see. the grindelwald is a good place and a lot to explore.we spend most of the time there like 4hrs!(too much for only walking around again to souvenir shops and eat lunch). please remember that this is unguided tour, they will just drop you off and explore your own.if you want to ride the cable car in grindelwald, that is an extra pay! but all in all we had a great time for what we pay.
Switzerland visit 🇨🇭 was a dream come true, our first Stop was Luzern, a well-preserved old town, with medieval architecture and the Lake Luzern a cobalt blue lake surrounded by snow-capped Alps. We stayed at a beautiful Inn called Swiss Dewa which was just opposite the Lake Luzern and near the Railway station. The view of the lake was just marvelous. We had planned a trip to Grindelwald a Glacier village at the Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, which is a popular gateway for the Jungfrau Region situated at the Peak of Europe, with skiing in winter and hiking in summer. It's also a base for mountain-climbing ascents up the iconic north face of Eiger Mountain. We had a choice on reaching the Grindelwald station to either stay back and sight see the Grindelwald village or go up to the Juangfraujoch the Peak of Europe. We took a train to the Juangfrau and from there by gondola to the Juangfraujoch the Peak of Europe marveling at the beautiful panoramic view of the Swiss Alps with the scattered of snow clad roofs and holiday makers out in the sun skiing or sledgeing in the snow. The 2nd day we decided to stop at the Grindelwald village for Sightseeing as this place offers a very wide variety of activities like a 3 D experience of Bunjee jumping wch was a thrill a minute experience of experiencing gliding across the Swiss Alps while actually only sitting on a seat with a 3 D glasses. We also trekked to the Grindelwald first on an iron bridge to the see and take pictures of the surrounding peaks and marvel at the panoramic views and also see the world famous Toblerone mountain, which was just Epic. There was a stop in between traveling by bus to Grindelwald , a beautiful valley called Interlaken is known as the adventure capital of Switzerland. Activities like bungee jumping, canyoning, and skydiving attract thrill-seekers from all over the world. We had a marvelous time amidst the Swiss Alps, like a Dream. SWITZERLAND is a must visit for Holiday revelers and adventure seekers.
Awesome and great experience with family. Nice management by tour guide. Overall smooth ride to beautiful places Interlaken & Grindelwald. One recommendation: the tour guide should have told or guide bit about the place Grindelwald.
We initially booked this trip for the classic Interlaken and Grindelwald trip on Viator. The tour was a combined tour (all led by the same gentleman) with most folks doing Interlaken and Grindelwald, and another group doing a separate itinerary to the Jungfrau train station (Top of Europe) as well. We had our tour with Raymond, who was extremely friendly and helpful. Once on the bus, Raymond gave everyone maps and explained the itinerary, as well as a few options to upgrade for different experiences / sights to see, if we wanted to do so. We chose to upgrade because when we arrived in Interlaken, it was an extremely foggy day and was difficult to see any of the sites. We talked with Raymond and he assured us that if we chose the upgrade, it would take us to higher parts in the mountains that would get us above the fog and be sunny - It was $50 CHF per person to upgrade. Original Itinerary: Bus ride from Zurich to Interlaken - spend time exploring, etc. Bus ride to Grindelwald - spend time shopping, etc. Bus ride back to Zurich. Upgraded Itinerary: The upgrade option we chose started in Interlaken with the entire group. We were there for only about 30 minutes, then got back on the bus to Lauterbrunnen for a photo break and to catch a train to Kleine Scheidegg. This gave us an INCREDIBLE view of the Alps and was the most picturesque train ride (~30 mins). Once at Kleine Scheidegg, we stopped for more pictures and took the Eiger Express cable car/ski lift down the mountain to Grindelwald - giving us more incredible views of the mountains. Once we got to Grindelwald, we had about 2 hours left to explore, eat, shop, etc. The upgrade was definitely worth it and we would highly recommend if given the option!! Overall, the trip was absolutely incredible and well worth it! The only negative is it was a bit confusing to start when we realized there were multiple tours and trips on the same bus, but once we talked with Raymond he helped clear up any confusion and consistently checked in to make sure we were all confident with the itinerary, times, etc. for the tour.
went to SCHILTHORN CHAIRLIFT IN SWITZERLAND IT IS AMAZING AND EXCELLET RIDE AND ON TOP OF IT THEY ARE IMPROVING AND INSTALLING A NEW CHAIRLIFT WITH A BIGGER SPACE AND BETTER SPEED
Was very good and experiential. I learnt a lot in this solo trip and the tour guide were so good too.
We found our way to the bus and was greeted by a lovely man called hans and driver Mark. We were seated on a lovely clean and comfortable bus. We made our way to interlaken first and spent 2 hours there exploring before boarding the bus again to take us up to Grindlewald which was our favourite - what a stunning place and the views were out of this world. Hans gave us some interesting facts along the way. I would recoomend this to everyone !
