We will pick you up at the meeting point at the agreed time and drive you in a modern car or minivan (vehicle depending on the number of visitors) to the Rhine Falls. The driving time is 60 minutes.
After about 1 hour drive you will reach the highlight of this day, the magnificent medieval Laufen Castle overlooking the Rhine Falls. Today the castle serves as a tourist attraction and contains a restaurant. From the castle, a footpath leads you to several viewpoints near the Rhine Falls. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the water flow.
Explore Europe's largest waterfall and one of the most important tourist attractions in Switzerland! Enjoy the unique view from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700000 liters of water per second plunge over a width of 150 meters into the basin below. The Belvedere Panorama Trail takes you to the viewing platform directly above the falls, where you can feel the spray of the roaring water. Take time to admire the panoramic view from the glass elevator or hike to the viewpoints above and around the falls to marvel at the roar and power of the falls. There is also a playground, stores and restaurants on the grounds.
Now board the boat that will take you to the other side of the shore. From Wörth Castle you have a 15 minute boat trip very close to the waterfall. (April - October only, included in the price) The tour is guided by experienced boatmen who will take you safely and as close as possible to the Rhine Falls.
The boat will take you back from one side of the river to the other before returning to Schloss Laufen. After this impressive visit you will return comfortably in a airconditioned private vehicle assigned to you. The driving time is 60 minutes.

Well worth booking this tour with Martin. Communication prior to pick-up was good, he was prompt, informative, friendly and we would highly recommend him. We enjoyed his company and we enjoyed what the Rhine Falls area had to offer. Even though we were warned by others that the Falls aren't as good as usual due to the drought, we were pleasantly surprised how good they were. We went to different points to view them, one very close, and we also took a 15 minute boat ride up to the foot of them. We had a brilliant time and having such a good guide helped make our experience a memorable one.

Our guide made this trip!! He was extremely informative and accommodating, not to mention being a very nice man. He personally took us on the tour of the falls, and was able to answer all our questions. Since we had a little extra time, he took us to a working farm, where we were able to buy homemade honey, pumpkin oil and a few other items. We had a great day, and Martin was a great host.

Me, my wife, and son wanted to see the Rhine falls. Martin picked us up from the hotel, right on time and took us there. Martin was very patient and adapted the pace of the tour to us. Martin was prompt, organised, knowledgeable and a joy to be around. We finished up at the falls a little early so he did some research and found us a castle to go see, with a winery nearby where we could do a few tastings. It was a really lovely day!
Had a great experience with this tour! Our tour guide, Martin, was great. He was very prompt, his car was very clean and comfortable and he was very knowledgeable about Zurich, and Switzerland as a whole. We’ve done a few private tours before but Martin was the first tour guide who went into the site with us and show us around opposed to just dropping us off and waiting in the parking lot. We did a half day excursion with Martin. Martin picked us up from our hotel in a very nice and clean vehicle and took us to Rhein River Falls and gave us an excellent tour of the castle and the falls. It was breathe taking experience. We then went to steinamrhein for the Christmas markets, going to steinamrhein anytime of year is GORGEOUS. Martin is very knowledgeable, patient, well mannered and accommodating. We had a lot of fun on this excursion and all that came with having him drive us which included views of the countryside, Swiss alps and small villages. 10/10 recommend Martin!
