From Zurich: Premium Panoramic Train, Lucerne & Interlaken Alps

Excellent use of a full day 9-6pm. The trains are a great way to see the natural beauty of the Swiss alps, lakes, farms as well as explore the history of Lucerne. Nico was a wonderful tour guide who looked out for everyone and brought good energy to the group. I learned a lot and got a great quick lesson on how the train system works.

Had a great tour with Juliana! She was very communicative (even delivering parts of the tour in Spanish for visitors from Puerto Rico). The train experience was exceptional - great views and Juliana was constantly sharing her knowledge with the group. We had lunch with another couple from the tour at a restaurant recommended by Juliana - it was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Great tour with Nico. It was a full day, with stops in Lucerne & Interlaken. Nico took us on an interesting walking tour of both cities, and gave us good suggestions for our free time in each place. He spent the train rides talking to us about life in Switzerland, so these first time visitors really learned a lot. In addition, he knew the trick to getting us really good seats on the panoramic train. We highly recommend this trip. One issue, and it had nothing to do with Nico, were the directions for joining the group from Zurich. The Zurich train station is quite large, with multiple levels, and multiple Burger Kings. We walked around and around, up and down, for almost 30 minutes trying to find the Il Baretto restaurant, which no one seems to have heard of. We had a wonderful day, but the meet up was stressful.

Great tour! Julianna was awesome as our tour guide! I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to experience the panoramic train ride. The views are amazing! The only thing was that I wish we had more time to explore Lucerne. But other than that, this was a great tour if you’re limited on time!

Julianna was spectacular! She was so warm and very knowledgeable. The tour was just perfect! We were able to see many sites and with Julianna guidance we had a wonderful experience!

Our guide Nico was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. Lucern was beautiful and historically interesting. Interlaken was just touristy but we didn’t stay there very long.

Our guide, Nico, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. He kept us informed and was very kind. You can tell he enjoys his work.

Lovely views but train was not so panoramic. Large windows but not on top of train to look up. Only got about 30 minutes for shopping, food,etc.. 9 hour tour but felt rushed at viewing sites. Our guide was awesome and poined out great sites. Spent alot of time on train.

Tour is way over priced for what we received. Guide was OK but it was mostly a train ride. Interlocken was a walk between train stations and an hour to shop. After finding out what train tickets were priced cost of over $800 for two was just wrong

Relaxing, yet not boring. The scenery on the panoramic train was spectacular. Our guide, Nico, was the best. He really gave it his all and wanted each person in his group to feel seen. I enjoyed the free time in each town.

A very good experience, though we felt that one hour was too short in Interlaken. However, our guide Nico was extremely helpful and helped us plan our return ourselves on a later train. I feel had the return train timings been on the next direct train at 18:04pm this experience would have been flawless. Once again Nico was absolutely great. A good group and a good experience!!

Traveling with Nico on the train tour to Lucerne and Interlaken felt less like a guided trip and more like sharing a journey with a thoughtful friend. He kept everything coordinated with ease, and his intellectual touch made the ride engaging — weaving in stories about the places we passed and the history behind them. What stood out most was his practical advice: he explained how to take the train from Interlaken to explore nearby cities along the panoramic line, opening up possibilities I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Between the sights, we enjoyed leisurely chats and cultural exchanges that made the day feel personal and enriching. His guidance turns a scenic train ride into a deeper experience of Switzerland. Nice tour! Luzern was beautiful, I loved walking chapel bridge and learning the history. The panoramic train was nice and we saw some beautiful sights. Interlaken is a nice town! Juliana our guide was very informative and helpful! I enjoyed it!

Beautiful views and Nico was a very good guide. The scenic train is only a part of the day. The 2 stops were great but short.

We met our tour guide Nico at the Zurich train station and boarded the first of three trains to visit Lucerne. Nico shared information about the history of the area and guided us through the beautiful town. We had time for lunch or shopping and then boarded our second train for a view of the Swiss mountains. We rode to a peak area and returned in reverse heading to Interlaken. We had a short stop in town and boarded our final train back to Zurich. During the day, Nico was great at communicating with us and sharing cultural and historical information.

Nico our guide he was an awesome person very friendly and very helpful. He took special care of the guests and made sure that everyone got what they needed. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to do excursions.

We loved this excursion and Nico was a fantastic guide! The meeting points were made very clear throughout the day. Nico shared wonderful information and answered all of our questions. With a broad range of participants, Nico was kind and professional throughout the day! And the scenery was unmatched! A tremendous way to spend a day in Basel!

We were four people, and we really enjoyed the panoramic train ride. The views were amazing, the train was comfortable, and the journey was relaxing. The tour guide was amazing and explained very good.

We were disappointed with this tour, especially considering it was the most expensive one we booked during our travels through Italy and Switzerland. Our guide, Petra, was very kind and pleasant, but unfortunately she didn't provide much information about most of the places we visited. A large portion of the day—about five hours total—was spent on trains, and because seats weren't reserved, our group wasn't even able to sit together. During the panoramic train ride, we had expected to learn more about the scenery and region, but very little commentary or information was provided. Lucerne was absolutely beautiful, and the information Petra shared there was informative and appreciated. However, the second stop in Interlaken felt unnecessary. We had less than an hour there, received no historical or cultural information, and it was essentially just time to walk around a very tourist-oriented shopping area. After taking multiple tours throughout Italy and Switzerland, this was unfortunately our least favorite. Given the premium price, we expected a much more informative and well-organized experience. While we appreciated Petra's friendly demeanor, the overall value and quality of the tour did not meet our expectations.

Exactly as described but could have added the number of steps involved. Didn't mind them, I can do that many, but we had like 20,000 steps when we thought there wouldn't be much at all with mostly train riding/viewing. I wouldn't change it, loved it, just saying probably should let people know so they for sure wear the correct shoes. We also decided to stay up in Interlaken after the tour left and they guide helped us out with detailed information on how to get back on our own. This was wonderful! We used the time to take the funicular up to the top in Interlaken - well worth the add!

Scenic train ride. Would have liked first class train seats for the price we paid. On the way home we had trouble finding seats. Overall I’m glad we did it , the lakes are breathtaking. Would have preferred more time in Interlaken but it was worth the trip.

Juliana was an excellent guide with a very friendly and warm personality. She showed us a good variety of attractions and providing us with a lot of information and insights. Juliana gave us time for a break and do our own thing for an hour . We don’t think have covered more, especially since it was 33 degrees hot. Overall very happy with the tour.

Panoramic train ride from Lucerne to Interlaken was gorgeous. We started from Zurich on a normal train but the views there still nice and the commentary of the guided gave us a lot of information that we wouldn't know on our own. We were a small group and enjoyed the interactions within the group very much. Would repeat it any day!

This day trip was an incredible way to experience the beauty of Switzerland in just one day. We started in Lucerne, where we had time to explore the charming old town and lakeside views. Then we boarded the premium panoramic train from Lucerne to Interlaken, and the ride was simply breathtaking — the wide windows offered amazing views of mountains, lakes, and picturesque villages all along the way. After the train journey, we continued on to Thun, a lovely town with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Our guide was excellent, sharing interesting insights throughout the day and making sure everyone was comfortable. We also really enjoyed being part of a small group, which made the whole experience more personal and easygoing.

I didn’t expect to have such a great day despite the rain! We loved every place we visited — Lucerne is gorgeous and Thun is such a hidden gem. The panoramic train was super nice too. Our guide was really kind and knew a lot. Totally recommend!

We had a very nice tour, managing to visit Lucerne, Thun and with a ride on the panoramic train where we could see mountain peaks, lakes, scenic valley, waterfalls. It's a whole day trip and be prepared to walk a bit in the cities. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice!!
