Day Trip To Jungfrau, Grindelwald & Interlaken With Skyglass Bus

Amazing experience, even though it’s a long day of traveling, totally worth it! Being at the Top of Europe had the most spectacular views, the snow, the ice tunnel with beautiful sculptures everywhere, difficult to describe how great it was!

It was great fun! Tou can’t predict the weather and it snowed at the top and we couldn’t see much. Wasn’t tour operators fault.

The driver was nice and knowledgeable. Bus was clean. Top of Europe was crowded. The hour in Interlaken goes by fast.

This tour group is customer focused. There were unplanned delays due to factors out of the control of the driver or guide. They managed to make this a memorable day for all. They provided me complementary p/u and ran to my hotel as I was traveling solo. Caution: This is a full day. Do not make plans for the evening

I have been on a number of Viator’s all which have been good to wonderful. This experience was awful and not what I paid a lot of money for a small bus ,all day tour. Switzerland was beautiful but we had NO tour guide. Driver played a recorded message about the area for about 20 minutes, bought us tickets to ride gondola and train and left us to navigate on our own with minimal direction. He did the same at Interlaken, dropped us off and said be here in an hour. When asked if there was anything we need to know about the city he just said go enjoy but be here in an hour. Alll members on our tour were disappointed and shocked that we did NOT get a guided tour of this beautiful area. It makes me hesitant to book with Viator again!

The driver is great! Friendly and very helpful! They picked me up at Hilton Zurich Airport hotel and dropped me off at the bus station. Great time at the top of Europe 🇪🇺

Strongly recommend this tour. While it is pricey that is because transportation to the top of the mountain if pricey. Our driver and guide was excellent. I can’t recommend the top of the mountain enough - the views and experience is something you’ll remember forever. The ice palace is equally incredible. The description from viator makes it clear that this is not a tour where you will be with a guide the entire time. The driver is your guide and he will get you there, acquire your tickets and explain how the experience works and then let you go and meet you later to return you to Zurich via interlaken. So if you need a guide to hold your hand the entire trip this may not be for you, but our driver was great and I think for most people the trip should work perfectly.

Driver played very loud music on the bus with minimal guidance of the tourist spots we visited / passed by. Did not get to see the famous lake at Interlaken but dropped us instead on a street without much sightseeing value. I would not have joined the tour and could have opted to travel to Jungfau myself instead.

We were left without tour lead and we didn’t even know that we will be without any lead. It was just a driver who was doing a lot of things on his own.

This was an amazing day. Tony was great! We took he train to the top of Jungfrau and to see the size of the towering mountains was absolutely awe inspiring. Also the stop at Interlaken was impressive. To see all the sky para gliders was amazing.

Driver / Tour guide is great but never get to Jangfrau due to bad weather condition. Killled time in Interlaken. Nice little town but waited too long before driving back to Zurich.

(Read full review) For your own sanity, please do not go with this company. You will regret that you did based on how cheap it is, and ruin the rest of your vacation. For me, this was my first time in Europe, and the last time I’ll ever used Viator or its subsidiaries. I suggest you do the same. Waited for over an hour to get picked up at the airport bus station which was a listed location that they provided on this tour. They said to come 30 minutes early which we did. Contacted them asking where they were through the TripAdvisor and was left with no response until they had left. Before they left, I even had to contact Viator through a stranger’s phone and they confirmed they would be coming at 7:50. They never did. Ended up wasting hours, $1000 CAD that was not refunded to me. They claimed that the “instructions were clear” and left it at that. Horrible experience. Would give negative stars if I could. Luckily, we went to Zurich HB and was kindly able to join a tour with Best of Switzerland. The guide and staff were so kind and patient with us. In fact, by the end of the tour, we ended up booking again for the following day as soon as the tour ended. We could not be more happy with this company, and suggest that everyone use it. Note: I do not have any ties with Best of Switzerland, it was just good enough that I had to leave a review for them in place of this disappointing scam of a company.

Trip on cogtrain to jungfrau joch and seeing this wonderful scenery.Despite the crowds a wonderful day

This was a mixed bag of good and bad. Firstly, the driver was late and the instructions for meeting up were not very specific. It led to us and others in the tour group wandering around aimlessly in the bus terminal. The driver did show up though and got us all on board quickly. This is not a tour with a guide, which is stated in the exclusions. That is why I picked it. But because the driver was late, we were also short for time for the train up the mountain, we had to get hasty instructions and jump onboard the train. All of this was stressful. We had two hours to see jungfraujoch, which was enough time for us to see everything and take lots of pictures. Again, I chose this because we didn’t want a guide, we wanted to do jungfraujoch at our own pace, and not have to be checking in with a guide. This however did end up causing a really uncomfortable situation when we were leaving jungfraujoch. When we went to leave we asked the station agent if our ticket meant we had a reserved seat or not and he looked at our tickets and said, ‘where is your group? Key Tours? we’ve talked to them multiple times that they must have a guide with you and that you stay with your group’. Then he called over his supervisor and the supervisor then looked at us with contempt and said ‘key tours cancelled for today’ which made us incredibly stressed out. Our tickets still scanned and let us thru as they were valid, but the station agent then came up to us as we waited in the unreserved seating section of the platform and suggested we go check our tickets again. I was worried they wouldn’t let us board the train and get back down in time. No one else in the group had an issue but us, but no one else checked if they were reserved seats or not. If we hadn’t done that we wouldn’t have been scrutinized and made to feel like we had done something wrong. More transparency and better communication from Key Tours would’ve been great. We enjoyed going up to Jungfraujoch, and the driving was quick and efficient. I just really wish that the ending hadn’t been so uncomfortable. Also just a general note, if you go on one of the cars that is for groups at kleine scheidegg the group tour guide will kick you out of that train car, so be mindful of which train car you’re supposed to go on at the train transfer. That was also a very not nice experience.

The trip was very good. Picked us up in the hotel. Dropped us in Lauterbrunnen and gave us instructions to go up by two trains to top of Jungfrau. Two hours was not enough to see the museum, ice tunnel, observatory and walk outside to the swiss flag. We were rushing and wanted to keep up with time to reach back to Lauterburnnen. Very beautiful and we are going there often. Once in your life time, may be two.

So essentially, when you buy this package, you're paying just for the driver. There's nothing else, no food, no guide, nothing else. So what happens if you get a climate change denialist driver who KEEPS spewing fake news all trip in the presence of children even after the group showing no interest in it? We had to listen to this Roger/Irvas(?) dude talk about bulls**t for 4 hours. He wasn't joking either. I understand he has political opinions and I'm all for it normally, but there's a time and place for them. I also found the trip overpriced, I would have maybe paid half if I knew the service would be like this. I guess other things were okay.

This trip was fantastic! For around $206, we got to see the ice tunnels, walk through the museum, look at the observatory and walk outside to the swiss flag! It was truly a special trip. I recommend this highly, it seems pricey but is very much worth the price! Transportation was included in our flight. If you collect pressed pennies, bring CHF coins (a 2 and 20) beforehand!!

It was an ok trip. I believe this trip is just transportation to the sites rather than with an actual tour guide. If you're looking for a tour guide, this is not the tour for you. The driver Zed was cool though. The weather was not conducive on the day, so be sure to check that out before booking this tour in the winter period.

Highly recommended tour. We didn't have the weather on our side on the day of the tour so the top of Jungfrau was cloudy and snowing but that in itself was an experience and so was getting to the top on the cable cart. Zed our driver was lovely and helped make the most of the trip for us with his knowledge and extra stops for photos. Thank you Zed!

I was trying to change the date on my reservation and the tour company was unprofessional. Over the phone, an extremely ill-mannered woman refused to help me out with my situation; she said “no” to all of my inquiries for more information regarding my request and hung up on me. This is probably the worst customer experience service I’ve had. Stay away from this company.

Tour was very nice. Our guide, missed his name unfortunately, was excellent, very interested in making our tour the best and very accommodating when scheduling and availability changed.

We booked this tour as a special offer through Tripadvisor and it surpassed our expectations. It was a small group tour and our van driver, Babis was great - he made sure we had all the information to ensure we had an enjoyable time. It was not a guided tour but this is our preference. The tour had lots of time to enjoy Jungfrauroch - including the ice palace and gift shop. Restaurants were also available at the top. A stop on the return to Zurich in Interlaken was also a pleasant surprise.

I signed up for the tour fron Zurich to Jungfraujoch, and it hands down exceeded all my expectations. Zed is a fantastic driver and guide, and it was one of the best days in Europe that I’ve had. The bus is new — it has been retrofitted to have huge windows, and they've installed windows on the ceiling! The seats were very comfortable, tour was on time, bus was sparkling clean, and the size of the bus meant that the tour group was intimate. As a solo traveller, I originally had planned to do the route by myself, taking the train from Zurich to Interlaken (2hrs), and then figuring it out from there. But I quickly realized that getting to Jungfraujoch is actually really complicated (4x public transport changes), and all-in with the return train fare, getting the tour was actually comparable. Plus I got much more time to enjoy the magnificent Jungfraujoch! The scenery on the drive was really beautiful — luscious greenery, stunning mirror lakes, and the cutest cows with bells. Plus you get to hit Golden Hour on the drive back, so the sunsets are even more spectacular. It is an absolute must-do. I don’t even like doing tours, but this is one I’m definitely coming back again for.

Never take this tour. I had four other tours in Zurich. Three booked via Viator one thru someone else. This tour was the worst experience with not able complete the activities due to tour operator’s poor planning.

This is a must do if you make your way to Zürich! Amazing views from the train, the stops, and the top of Europe! It was suggested to wear good shoes and a light jacket. I would personally recommend the good shoes, pants, and 2 light layers with a jacket (ie short sleeve shirt/flannel/light jacket) when you are outside the weather is wonderful but walking through the underground and the ice tunnel gets very cold. 10/10 recommend!
