Storchen Zurich

Absolutely delightful location in the center of old town on the river front with no car/truck traffic between the water facing rooms and a the water. Exquisite service and pristine hotel room furnishings and decor make the visit full rounded. Don’t miss the sunset from the rooftop bar, The Nest.

I had lunch at the Barchetta Bar which overlooks the river. The waitress who served me was very kind. I took a ceasar salad which was good but the chicken wasn't cooked enough for my liking. I've been to this hotel several times and the food is generally good and I do recommend it. It's located in a lovely area of Zurich and a 5 minute walk from the lake.

Everything about The Storchen was terrific. It exceeded all our expectations. The location was convenient to shopping and restuarants. It was nice to have a drink along with lunch outside by the river. The rooftop lounge was relaxing with a great view. They had mist blowers which kept us cool in the extreme heat. Our room was clean and comfortable. With the location and comfort being great, the hotel staff was just super terrific. Always polite and helpful, the staff engaged in conversation learning more about our needs and desires. Lots of smiling people working hard to make our stay as best as possible. My view on The Storchen is value. You get what you pay for. With that said, I was not disappointed and would heghly recommend.

The room we stayed in overlooked the river outside with a balcony. Very spacious room with all the amenities. The pillows were a little on the soft side for me, but having the electric shades fully block the sun light in the morning was fabulous! Location was about 3 minutes walk to the famous bridge and Lucerne lake. Breakfast was also delicious with eggs being made on demand and prosecco for the add on breakfast.
