Tony, our guide, was energetic and we clearly saw his love and knowledge of the area. The Zhangjiajie National Park was breathtaking, the glass bridge was not so scary. We had a good time there although it was lightly raining. Seeing the bungee jumping and zip lining visitors was very nice to see. We were excited for them. Tony, with his clear knowledge of the surroundings guided us to the best photo opportunity areas. Pics of the famous Avatar movie mountains are something we would treasure. Also his guidance to a less crowded viewing area for great photos at Yuanjuajie. We found Tony’s explanation of the history of the area very interesting, especially through the lens of a minority Chinese. We enjoyed this leg of our tour very much, this being the tallest mountain we experienced climbing.

We had a great day in Zhangjajie visiting Tienamen Mountains and Glass Bridge. Even though was a heavy rainy day, we fully enjoyed it with Miraa, our very nice and well documented guide! Amazing and breathtaking views! We highly recommend Miraa for Zhangjajie tours!
Our tour to Tianmen Mountain (the famous “Doorway to Heaven”) and the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge was absolutely incredible! Kaia was an amazing guide — so organized, friendly, and fun to be around. She made everything smooth and stress-free while making sure we hit the best spots for views and photos. At the canyon, we did the zipline and the slide, which were SO much fun and such a thrill! Kaia truly made the day special with her energy and attention to detail. Highly recommend this tour — and definitely ask for Kaia!
I had an absolutely wonderful time exploring the Tienman Mountain with my guide, Wendy. She was incredibly professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about every part of the tour. Wendy went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day. Her kind attitude, patience, and attention to every detail made the entire experience truly enjoyable. I felt completely at ease knowing I was in such capable hands.
Had a terrific time visiting Tianmen Mountain & Glass Bridge with our guide David. We would highly recommend this tour!!!
I enjoyed the tour so much the natural views was wonderful and the activities are so good. And our tour guide (Cindy) was very helpful
She is fluent in both English and Chinese. Lead us to all possible way and kept on asking if the speed of walking is OK and also check in on us every now and then
It was a dream come true! The guide was an absolute amazing person with a lot of knowledge and very good English!
Linda was an amazing guide she went above and beyond to show us all the gorgeous places and met all our needs and changes it would have been different without her. We had an awesome time😍
Abbie was an outstanding tour guide! We wanted to see everything we could and Abbie was the only reason that was possible. She gave us great history about the park and the temple, but also was a great photographer! I would definitely recommend this tour, but keep in mind there is another park to see while you visit Zhangjiajie! Don’t miss out on the other tours these guys do!
Wendy was a fabulous tour guide, if I could give her a 6 star rating I would. The tour was great and we got to see a lot of scenic spots. It’s not walking intensive as the majority is via cable car and the walking is mainly flat. As the cable car goes up into the clouds it’s not for people who are afraid of heights. I has a lovely time.
A must see experience that is truly one of a kind. The level of beauty is next level compared to other landmarks. My tour guide Linda was great! She wasn’t too overwhelming where they’re too talkative and too insistent
Part of the tour is to ride the longest cable ride at 30 minutes so that alone is exciting add a power failure and waiting inside the cable hanging over cliffs by another 20 minutes. The mountains and the cave (Heavenly Gate) is beautiful this is a must see activity in Zhangjiajie
We were staying near the other entrance to the park so we were picked up by Linda, our guide and her driver. We drove back to Tianmen Mountain cableway Station and began our journey up the mountain. Our day was cloudy with a little drizzle throughout the day. That may have been a blessing as we walked on the glass walk way around the mountainside and were unable to see below us (for those of us with a fear of heights). But the park was beautiful and the sights spectacular even on such a day. Our main reason for coming was to see Heaven's Gate and walk the 999 steps made famous to us by the Land Rover commercial of the car going up the mountain steps. We arrived at the opening at the top and took the escalators down to the bottom and began our trek up. 45 minutes later we looked down the 999 steps and celebrated our accomplishment. 15 minutes later we were at the bottom taking in the awe inspiring view. Then it was a wild ride down the mountain on the shuttle bus back to the cable cars. Linda was very helpful and informative throughout the day and even gave us ideas for our next day near where we were staying. We sent her pictures and a thank you for all her help . Although we did not get to the glass bridge, everything else was spectacular. And on a sunny day, the view would be unmatched!
We drove down this road with all of it’s 99 turn on a medium size shuttle bus. You felt every one of the turns and buses coming from the opposite side in the opposite direction added to the excitement. The views were stunning and they were like no other.
What an experience. Such good infrastructure, the cable car, the glass walkway, the escalator in the mountain, the views ... just amazing. A bucket list activity, must do. Our guide Ashley was excellent, very helpful and nice English speaking guide.
Great guide! Ann was very helpful and we loved the place!!!! The hotel was really nice! We enjoyed the mountains, it was really nice that we had our own driver and they had water bottles for all the days that we were with them, and you could leave your stuff in the van if you didn't want to carry it in between places. It was also really nice to have a private tour, she could take pics of all of us, she told us about the history of the places that went to and overall I totally recommend it!
I visited in November , great weather. A unique part of the world some large queues but my Guide Candy has been doing this long enough to get us some priority. Great place to get some fresh air and relax. worth a visit.
Has booked tour package with China Highlight for 4 days tour. Got to customized my tour and payment was easy (Wired to their account and paid the balance upon arrival). In the airport was met by my English speaking guide, Monica. Monica speaks fluent English and has good knowledge of the places I visited. Even the entrance tickets were purchased in advance and wasted little time on queueing. The places I visited were as follow, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie (include the Hallelujah Mountains), Mt.Tianzishan, Bailong Sightseeing Elevator, (Day 1) Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon with Glass Bridge, Baofeng Lake, (Day 2) Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway, Tianmenshan Cable car, Yellow Dragon Cavern (Day 3). The scenery was amazing and stunning. Its truly an unforgettable experience and the planning and execution on every detail of my tour had met my expectation.
We had an excellent experience on this 3 day tour visiting the Zhangjiajie forest park (which included the Tianzi mountain, Avatar mountain, Glass Bridge, Grand Canyon and Boefeng Lake) and Tianmen Mountain. The scenery was amazing and the tour was well organised. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and taught us lots about life in China. We can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend to include this tour as part of any trip to China. Thank you! :)
My husband and I and our two daughters (ages 16 and 17) spent three days in Zhangjiajie exploring the stunning scenery in this area. Our guide, Melody, was fantastic and took us to many places to enjoy the views. Our favorites by far were the glass bridge and the cable car trip up Tianmen Mountain with the glass walkways. Heaven's Gate is a stunning natural formation. Melody was very accommodating to our specific needs and interests. She is very friendly and offered not just an informative tour of the natural landscape but gave us some perspective on present day life in China. Highly recommend China Highlights and visiting Zhangjiajie with Melody as a guide!!
I did a two day private tour of Zhangjiaje. We had an excellent trip Tutu was our tour guide. She picked us up the day before at the airport and took us to our hotel. Both days were excellent, Tutu was full of knowledge of the area and very friendly. She really wanted us to have a great time. The only down side we had was the second day was too cloudy to see a lot, but that was nothing anyone could control. The scenery was beautiful at both locations. I would definitely tour with China Highlights and Tutu again. I think 4 days at this location would be better, there was more things to see and I think having an extra day or two for bad weather or cloudy days would be nice. There is a lot of walking around but nothing overly strenuous. Day One Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie(include the Hallelujah Mountains), Mt.Tianzishan, Bailong Sightseeing Elevator, Lunch on Mountain. Day Two Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway, Tianmenshan Cable car, Transfer to Airport or Train Station for Departure, Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, Hei Zhu Gou Restaurant (Lunch), Hotel to airport Transfer (Zhangjiajie)
We arranged a three day private tour with China Highlights for Zhangjiajie. Our guide, Summer provided excellent service and really went out of her way to ensure that we got the most out of our trip. She was by far the best guide we had in our entire time in China, she spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable. We visited the national forest park, Tianmen mountain, and the glass bridge. Beautiful place to visit - a must see in China - highly recommended.
The trip was absolutely awesome! The views of natural scenery at Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen mountain were stunning. The tour guide, China highlights operator and driver were really nice and helpful. I would highly recommend to go if you have the cash to spend $1300 USD for the weekend. Here is the breakdown of my weekend. Day 0 Arrived at the Zhangjiajie airport and my tour guide was waiting for me in front with a sign with my name. We then drove less than 15 minutes to the Best Western hotel which was nice by the way and stayed the night. Day 1 Breakfast buffet at 7AM was crazy busy. All the domestic tourists are there and have a strict schedule to follow. I stayed at a different hotel that was descent but best western was a lot better. So then my tour guide picked me up at 8AM then we went to Zhangjiajie National Park for a few hours. Be prepared to walk a lot and carry an umbrella! Or at least a rain jacket if you don't want to carry an umbrella. The views were stunning and we spent our day mostly there. The lunch was a lot haha I accidentally ordered too much food and it was enough for me to eat for dinner. Later in the night, I recommend walking around the downtown area. It's really pretty at night time and shops and restaurants open until a descent time. I then got an hour full body massage late at night which was cheap (120 RMB= ~18 USD). Day 2 This day was jam packed. I was traveling to a garden then went to go eat at a restaurant. We then had to wait for a cable ride to go up to Tianmen mountain which was gorgeous as well but super long wait. So bring a book. Then I left to the airport and went on my way back home. I would have been a little more detailed with my day 2 but got tired from writing the above haha but you get the gist of it.
Our 4 day Zhangjiajie tour was led by our wonderful guide, Victor. He made sure that we not only saw the main attractions in the national park area, but the culture & lifestyle of the community as well. The mountains can be strenuous - be prepared to climb steps and fairly steep inclines to get the best views. Drink plenty of water & carry your own toilet tissue for the public restrooms. Since we were staying at the Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel, Victor suggested the popular live show that was within walking distance. The huge venue was packed with tourists - the costumes, loud & energetic music, acrobatics, and dancing made for an enjoyable evening. Our visit to Tianmen Mountain was cut short due to closures caused by rockslides; as a result we could not go on the glass walkway or the arch. Special thanks to Victor for keeping us safe & making sure we were taken care of!!
Fantastic. We loved Peking and our guide Carmen.
Delia was fantastic as our guide.... She's sensational!!!! None could have been better... . The driver was also very attentive and kept our safety intact....
Our guide Alina has been 10, explained everything and has been very attentive with us throughout the tour of the Tianmen part, however our criticism is towards the Viator platform itself and hence our assessment... since the name of the tour clearly indicates that you will visit the glass bridge, which is unique in China and yet what it includes is the visit to a “walkway” that is located in Tianmen itself, that is, nothing to do with what it says and offers the tour in its title, we are completely disappointed and this circumstance by carrying everything scheduled has prevented us from finally being able to see the real glass bridge, something that we will not be able to experience again... for us an absolute disappointment.
Super mooi. Geweldige enthousiaste gids. Alles op tijd. Oogehaald bij hotel. Geen onnodige shopping prachtige berg en hele mooie tempel die we voor de verandering eens in rust konden bezoeken
The height of some mountains and the scenery are breathtaking. The experience of walking on glass paths is fun and exciting a little less the myriad of people you are surrounded by and sometimes pushed by with an irritating rudeness. I must point out absolutely to pay particular attention to the mode of return in the gondola. With the ticket purchased for the return you must go to a structure (not very obvious) in which to scan; after that another ticket is issued with the letter of the assignment group for the descent. There is in fact a large display in which the return time slot of the group is indicated (eg for the "group" with the letter H the descent was scheduled in the time slot 18-19 .. once in the queue on the ground floor, consider that you climb 2 floors making the serpentine of another queue... so minimum an hour and a half of waiting.)
Accompanied by the sweet Sara, we visit Mount Tianmen. Unforgettable day, a must to do despite the lines at the ticket offices. We thank Sara who jumps the line to our pregnant friend .... a gesture, a little attention that we very much appreciated. Nice everything! Then lunch together with Zhangjiajie in a very nice place, where we share a good lunch together!
