Yuanjiajie is the main background of the very Movie: Avatar, located with hundreds of original pieces of "Floating Avatar Mountains".(The major one is called:"Hallelujah Mountain." the view there is really impressive like outer-space. Tianzi means “Heavenly Prince”. actually, he is the real person who leads the local minority to fight with the government army in Ming Dynasty 500 years ago...Mt. Tianzi Area is the very old battle field. Most of the scenic spots there are combined with historical stories and legends of this honorable man. Besides these, Visually, on the Tianzi mountain top, we can experience the most spectacular view of sandstone peak forest in the park featured by its sharp and slim shape. it’s one of the highlights in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area.
Golden Whip Stream is regarded as the 1 of the most beautiful Streams in China. It’s 6 km long with a well-paved flat walkway at the bottom of a canyon. A tour from a lower perspective will give you a different view of Avatar from the top. And it’s actually closer to nature: You will find hundreds of different-shaped sandstone peaks erecting by the crystal-clear stream,attached with plenty of interesting legends and stories given from locals.the other exciting part is,we may see a lot of cute monkeys on the way. 2-3 hours easy walk with the fresh air, you will definitely have a strong feeling that you are walking into the pure nature. This spot is located at the countryside area of Zhangjiajie where you can experience walking on the world longest(430m),also the first glass bridge over nature canyon(300m high).It’s an amazing architecture showing the power of human’s imagination. After the bridge tour,if time allows,you can also pay a visit to the bottom of a pretty Canyon for a 1.5 hours walking trip-all the way with stream,pass a bandit cave,then boat to the exit).

What is more Unbelievable? this single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records in its small body. and any of them will be overwhelmingly impressive to any type of human being. Just an amazing experience you have never had before.
This pretty lake lies high on top of sandstone mountains. At this spot, we could enjoy the view of Avatar Mountains on water, while, hearing lovely Tujia folk songs from young girls and boys in wooden boat and knowing interesting stories of how the lake is formed. Not hard physically but very relaxing.
We had a great 3 days exploring Zhangjiajie with Flora. We managed to see so much, and one of the highlights was being taken to some quieter, hidden spots away from the crowds. Flora was incredibly helpful and made everything easy for our family. Having a local guide who knew the area well really made a difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend Flora!
We had an amazing three-day tour of the Zhangjiajie highlights with Flora and couldn’t recommend her highly enough! From the start, Flora was incredibly friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. She made a real effort to get to know all of us and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal rather than just like a standard guided tour. She was also extremely patient and accommodating throughout the three days, whether that meant waiting for us when we wanted a bit more time somewhere, helping us take photos, or adjusting things to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. What really stood out was how helpful she was beyond the tour itself. She happily gave us advice and information about other activities and places we were interested in, which made the rest of our time in the area so much easier. Flora was knowledgeable, kind and genuinely seemed to care that we had the best possible experience. She made an already incredible place even more memorable. Eric was an amazing tour guide! He was recommended to me by friends and I strongly recommend him to you. He’s been doing English-language Zhangjiajie tours for many years and is an expert on the area and all its attractions. We had a limited timeframe for our tour and he and his driver made the whole tour seamless so we could maximize our tour time and not worry about any of the administrative details. Eric was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and easily adapted to changing circumstances. The tour guide is an outstanding local guide in Zhangjiajie. She arranges the sightseeing schedule reasonably and knows every scenic spot thoroughly. She is thoughtful, patient and warm-hearted. She took many great photos for us at ideal viewpoints and introduced local scenery and culture clearly. Even with rainy weather, she made our trip wonderful. First, I recommend anyone going to ZJJ to have a tour guide. The park is enormous, and it is difficult to navigate, especially as a non-native speaker. Having someone like Eric who knew the area so well and was able to make quick decisions was critical to our amazing experience in the park. Eric is great at his job. He helped us avoid the crowds while still seeing all the main attractions. It is clear that he has a mountain of experience in the area (pun intended). The pace was brisk but manageable. We took hundreds of pictures but you need to not linger too long because the parks are enormous. Don’t worry though, Eric provided many options and was very flexible. He was also very clear and honest about timing for each spot. Lastly, I was very appreciative at how dynamic Eric made the trip. He had the expertise to work around the weather and adjust for customizations for our trip. For example, we wanted to go to the 72 Wonder building, and he knew exactly where to fit it in the plan. He also arranged for a driver because our hotel was out of the way. In conclusion, this was a great trip. I thought the pricing was fair, and we had an amazing time.
We had an amazing experience on the 3-Day Zhangjiajie Panoramic Highlights Tour. The natural beauty was absolutely breathtaking – unlike any landscapes we've ever seen before. The trip had a great balance of sightseeing and hiking, and we really appreciated the mix of busier tourist spots with more peaceful, quiet areas. On the first day, our guide – who was very kind and polite – mainly showed us the way without giving much explanation. After we mentioned to Eric that we’d love to learn more, he personally guided us on the second and third days. That made all the difference! He was always punctual, intuitive about what we wanted, and gave us so much interesting information about nature, Chinese culture, and the area in general. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Everything was well-organized and enjoyable from start to finish. We had a fantastic tour visiting the Avatar Mountains, Tianmen Mountain, the Glass Bridge (with an exciting zipline!), and the 72 Wonders Tower. The views were breathtaking and the experience was unforgettable. Our guide, Eric, was incredibly friendly, spoke great English, and went above and beyond to help us, not just during the tour, but also with the rest of our trip in China. Everything was well-organized and tailored to our preferences, including trying local food and taking us to the most viral spots for pictures. We made the most of our short time in Zhangjiajie and felt excited and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

We flew in from Shanghai in the evening and were promptly met by a limo service that took us to a very comfortable hotel, recommended by Eric. For the next two days Eric showed us around, solid six-hour days of sightseeing, lots of walking and climbing stairs, but customizable to our abilities and preferences. Sceneries, beyond words. The cave, although highly commercialized, but what isn't in China, truly spectacular. After the six hours we would stop at a restaurant for an early dinner and then back to the hotel. On the third day we had, through Eric's 'Fun Tours' Vicky as our tour guide, just as competent as Eric and a pleasure to be with. At the end of the tour, Tianmen Mountain, how often can you say spectacular, we were dropped at the airport for a late flight back to Shanghai. Day 1. Avatar National Park. (I still haven't seen the movie) Day 2. Grand Canyon Glass bridge, and Yellow Dragon Cave. Day 3. Baofeng Lake, and Tianmen Mountain I have worked a lifetime in the tourism industry. I have led tours, and I have been on good and badly guided tours in many places worldwide. What Eric puts together is exceptional and very well executed. I strongly recommend him and his company.

I spotted Eric's tour from one of those tripadvisor sites. He has good reviews. I therefore asked him to arrange a tour for few days in Zhangjiajie, with a hope to take photographs. As we had teenager travelling together, we wanted a tour guide who could bring us around for photography cum family trip. We were lucky that the boss Eric himself agreed to take us around. Eric is local to Zhangjiajie who belongs to Tujia Tribe. He speaks fluent English. He is helpful, kind and he knows his hometown very well. He knows how to avoid the crowds and choose off the beaten paths so we could take wonderful photos with tripods. His price was fair for a private tour. We really enjoyed our visit to Zhangjijie. If you love photography but at the same time going for holidays with family, Eric is the guide you are looking for.
