We had an magical trip in Zhangjiajie. We explored the breathtaking Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and were shocked by Avatar Mountain Scenery.then continue to another spectacular Tianmen Mountain with the magnificent Heaven’s Gate anf glass walk. I have travelled extensively and often avoid private tours because I value the freedom of exploring on my own. After five days with Tour-Zhangjiajie and Jenny (Xiong Yajun), this experience completely changed my view of what a private tour can be. Tour-Zhangjiajie was excellent from the beginning. Communication during the planning was easy and responsive, the itinerary was thoughtfully curated around what I wanted to experience, and every pickup, transfer and drop-off was seamless. I never had to think about the logistics — everything simply worked. Then there was Jenny. Her level of service and attention to detail was extraordinary. She anticipated what I needed before I even knew I needed it, yet was always present without ever being intrusive. Her English is excellent, but more importantly, she listened. She asked questions, learned what I enjoyed and continually tailored the experience around me. Additional stops were added, plans adjusted, and nothing ever felt like a standard packaged tour. Jenny knew Zhangjiajie inside and out — the best viewpoints, where to stand for the perfect photograph, which side to be on for the best views, when to move to avoid the crowds, and the small details that can completely change an experience. She was constantly thinking one step ahead. What impressed me most was how naturally she did it. Jenny is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but also genuinely kind and friendly. I normally find having a guide with me all day intrusive. With Jenny, it was the opposite. It felt less like being guided and more like travelling with a longtime friend who happened to know exactly how to make Zhangjiajie extraordinary. I have travelled to many places and had many guides. The three-day trip to Zhangjiajie was fantastic. We visited the Glass Bridge in the Grand Canyon, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain. The weather was bright and sunny for most of the trip. Though it rained on the day we toured Tianmen Mountain, we were lucky enough to enjoy amazing sea of clouds surrounded by mist. Our tour guide Jenny arranged the itinerary perfectly and helped us avoid crowds so we didn’t have to wait in long queues. She took great care of us throughout the whole journey, making our trip relaxing and enjoyable. One small note is we would have appreciated learning more history in each of the sites we visited. I would recommend the tour to make better use of time and to ensure you cover trip highlights!

I am retired and travel the world independently. I typically book all my own tickets and plan my own travel to the areas I want to see. My 60 day trip through China was no different. However, when I looked at Zhangjiajie, the sprawling area with numerous places was a bit daunting, so I opted to book a guided 3 day tour. I’m glad I did. Our tour guide, Amy, effortlessly took us through all the places I knew I wanted to go, and added many more stops that enhanced my visit. Amy is a local, born and raised in Zhangjiajie. She is energetic, knowledgeable and fluent in English. She has a great personality and sense of humor, but more importantly, the leadership and organizational skills needed to get things moving. I never waited in line for tickets and she told me what I needed to enter the gate (passport, ticket or just my face). She was always waiting on the other side with her driver nearby. Zhangjiajie is an absolutely wonderful place. I’m thankful I had the chance to experience it completely with Amy’s help.

Cara was an amazing guide. We were so fortunate to be able to spend three days with her. Her English was clear and easy to understand. She reached out to us ahead of the trip to answer any questions and to make arrangements for our travels. As a local, she has so much invaluable information about the parks, the province, and life in China. It was so insightful and interesting to have additional of context. We had so much fun on the trip. We had rain 2 out of 3 of the days but Cara was able to provide suggestions on how best to navigate the park. The agency had reserved VIP passes for some of the sections that had longer wait times. Cara helped us determine if it was worth using or whether we should save our money. In our off time, she gave us suggestions on places to eat, things to do, and made any additional arrangements required for our trip. It was an excellent experience. Thank you again, Cara!!!

Our tour guide Vicky and her supporting team of drivers were excellent to giving a knowledgeable and smooth experience - from meeting us at the hotel and making solid recommendations as which sequence of activities to start. We did not have to think about anything but to enjoy it the 3 full days. Her team also dropped us off at the airport and managed the luggage movement between the 2 towns in ZJJ. On top of that, her suggestions for lunch restaurants were top notched, and as well as our last minute idea to see a famous performance show - her team was able to get tickets reserved for us. She was bilingual in English and Chinese of course, so our interaction was easy either methods.

Overall it was an amazing experience! Hanna was very knowledgable, friendly, accomodating, and excellent at guiding us. The tour itself was flexible also to cater for two children and a senior. Highly recommend! Expect big crowds, even in the low season.

Zhangjiajie is the second destination on our trip to China, after Xi’an and before Shanghai, and it’s the one we had the highest expectations for, which also made us quite demanding. Now that we’re at the airport on our way to Shanghai, I can say that we’re leaving very happy, convinced that coming here was the right decision, and absolutely certain that we chose the right agency. Throughout the booking process, Andy made everything incredibly easy for us. Once we arrived, our guide Candy was like having a very professional mother looking after us, she truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Coming here was definitely the right choice, and doing it with them is something I would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the experience without having to worry about anything else. One piece of advice: carefully choose the time of year, as weather conditions like clouds and rain can make a big difference. We were very lucky, but I’ve seen reviews from people who weren’t.

She did a fantastic job managing our itinerary, especially given some unlucky weather at this time of year. Despite that, Hanna made sure we still had a really fun and memorable experience, adapting plans where needed and keeping everything running effortlessly. Unfortunately, this trip fell far short of expectations. The problems started with Air China before we even boarded the first flight: we were unable to check in online. As a result, we were assigned seats at the very back of the plane. A late arrival from our first flight caused us to miss our connecting flight. We were then offered an overnight stay at a local hotel, but the room provided was disappointing—small, dirty, and without a window. The food served there was also of very poor quality. The overall experience at Zhangjiajie was equally underwhelming. The weather was terrible, which meant we missed out on the beautiful scenery that was the main reason for visiting. To make matters worse, the area was extremely overcrowded, and local visitors did not observe orderly queueing. We often had to push our way onto shuttle buses within the park, which made the visit stressful and unpleasant. The one bright spot in an otherwise challenging trip was our national guide. She was professional, kind, and truly wonderful throughout the journey, and we deeply appreciated her support.

Vicky Liu was an amazing tour guide! She is very knowledgeable about the key attractions and Tujia culture. Despite the rainy season, she was able to guide us through all the good spots safely (including tips about slippery steps and other travel pitfalls), gave us great advice on the long v short routes as well as which good spots to take amazing photos. She is very patient, considerate and cheerful. Her positive attitude is infectious and made our trip and unforgettable experience!

We had such an amazing 3-day tour with Fiona! The first day at Avatar Mountain left us completely in awe. Fiona, being the weather expert she is, quickly adjusted our plans for the second day when she realized Tianmen Mountain wouldn't work out with the rainy weather. Instead, we got to experience the breathtaking Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Even though the fog obscured our view at Tianmen Mountain on the final day, we still had a blast on the cable car ride and managed to capture some incredible photos from the summit. Fiona's stories about the mountains' history and legends truly added depth to our journey. Exploring the local cuisine was a delightful bonus, introducing us to new and delicious dishes. Had a spectacular tour in Zhangjiajie with the weather added to the atmosphere - very lucky on that part. Our tour guide Fiona, grew up in the area, really knows the area including the weather patterns. She planned perfect routes for us - avoided the maximum exposure of the sun (the heat) and the crowd, and even caught the best lightning to view the sceneries. She didn’t explain the logic of her decisions, but in the hindsight, she really knew what she was doing. We were very happy with Fiona as our guide.

This review is primarily about the customer service with a private tour that we booked for Zhang JiaJie. Andy was very proactive before the trip to collect all our information. And arranging our airport pick up. Unfortunately some unplanned and unexpected weather events led to us having to cancel our trip. We were stuck in the Beijing airport for nearly 24 hours due to weather. Andy was on the phone and WhatsApp with me at midnight trying to help reschedule our flights. Ultimately I was not able to make it to Zhang Jia Jie. Andy and his local team worked hard with Trip Advisor to get us a partial refund even though the policy stated refunds were not available for cancellation within 24 hrs. They were kind and friendly to deal with. I hope I will get an opportunity to take a tour with Andy and his team sometime in the future.

Our guide Coco was amazing, she brought us to all the picture perfect spots and helped us travel through the mountains flawlessly. She even went out of her way to help us outside of the tour if we needed help with food recommendations and booking train tickets. I would definitely go again

It’s was a really nice experience, Jessie was very helpful, kind and open to a set all out questions. Even though the path in the national forest park was damaged, she helped make sure we still had a positive experience, even pointing us to an attraction that wasn’t originally in our itinerary. It was overall a really lovely time and my family and I really enjoyed it

Max is a great guide, showed us the great spots while keeping us “safe” from the croud. Max gives always a good advice what to visit and when, as there are must see places, and other places that are just for IG. Those IG spots are always maxed out,

We had the pleasure of having Wendy as our guide for 2 days—one in Zhangjiajie and another in Tianmen Shan—and she truly made our trip a memorable one. Wendy is bubbly, warm, and incredibly attentive. When she saw a long queue at one of the spots, she used her tour guide pass to help my mother-in-law (who has weak legs) skip the line—something our elderly family members really appreciated. She also patiently waited and reminded us to layer up when we underestimated the cold, always looking out for our comfort. whole experience are great. itinerary was so compact that we can enjoy the heart zhangjiajie experience with minimum trnsportation. We mostly walked (not tiresome), took camera, rode some zipline, glass bridge & road, slide, elevator. it's rare that I took so many pics per one day as I am very enthusiastic traveler. guide, Vicky speaks english very well and punctual time. highly recommended.
