3-day "A Bite" Of Mysterious Hunan Tour (Zhangjiajie+fenghuang)

The summary of the experience would be: Perfect. We enjoyed every single moment of these days. The divers and our guide, Eric, made every day very unique. We discovered places that we would never have found without the expertise of our guide, as well as his help inside all the parks, his recommendations for food, and many other things that Eric made possible. The comfort of the transportation was excellent throughout the entire trip. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this tour. Zhangjiajie was truly an unforgettable experience. The spectacular natural beauty and breathtaking scenery left me deeply impressed. It is easy to see why this place is a World Heritage Site.

Eric made my three days near Zhangjiajie the highlight of my trip to China. The natural beauty of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain is beyond words. He even brought a drone to capture incredible footage and photos for me. Having grown up in the area, Eric knows the local history, culture, and traditions inside and out. His English is at a native level, so communication was effortless throughout the trip. He arranged all transportation and tickets. We sampled a wide variety of local food, from authentic hot pot and handmade dumplings to tea grown on the surrounding mountains. Despite how popular Zhangjiajie has become, Eric planned each day efficiently and took me to several hidden spots where we had the trails almost entirely to ourselves. My first night was spent in Furong Ancient Town, where the beautiful waterfall flows through the centre of the village. Walking the winding market streets and having dinner beside the illuminated town was unforgettable. The next day we explored Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, walking along the Golden Whip Stream, riding the famous Bailong Elevator, and descending an old mountain trail with almost no other tourists. On my final day we visited Tianmen Cave, one of the world’s largest natural caves, and climbed the famous 999 steps to Tianmen Mountain. After the trip, Eric edited together his drone footage into a beautiful travel video. Doing this trip independently would have been incredibly challenging without knowing the language or the local area. I can’t thank Eric enough for his kindness, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his home. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

Daniel was our tour guide for a 6 day, 5 night tour of Zhangjiajie, Furong and Fenghuang. The secret spots he knew were truly hidden and special - we were able to enjoy the amazing sights of Zhangjiajie without the crowds. He also took us to the beautiful Sitting Dragon Gorge, which was a fantastic tour experience. Daniel went out of his way to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Since we were interested in Chinese painting, he also organized two special programs for us related to this, which made the trip even more memorable. He had interesting stories about each site and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. He also paid special attention to the older members of our group, so they could enjoy the trip in complete comfort and safety. Daniel's expertise, attentiveness and enthusiasm made this experience truly special for us.

Eric went above and beyond to lead our family in a private 5 day trip to Zhang Jia Jie and Phoenix Town. Each day was packed full with amazing activities and sightseeing, and he was very patient with all of us, especially since there were older ppl in the group. What I loved about Eric was that he was very knowledgable about all the places we visited, and we felt really comfortable asking him any questions. He took special care of my dad who couldn't walk as much, and made sure we got VIP tickets so he didn't have to wait in line. His food recommendations were also on point, and we enjoyed some delicious local spicy food!! I would definitely recommend Erick to anyone looking for an amazing tour guide who will listen to your needs, take you to the best places, and all the lesser knowns places as well that are not as touristy!! The views are amazing, the guide Eric is funny, knowledgeable and agile in thinking. Eric is also a wonderful singer, belting out his 山歌 melodiously. He also walk through the entire routes together with us, providing us explanations of the history and story behind the different sceneries. He is a good photographer too, helping us to take many nice, unique photos which is at instagrammable levels.

It was a memorable trip for my family and I. Nice scenery and breathtaking views!! Itinerary was well planned by Eric. He's very experienced and was able to share alot of details on places we visited.. Quite a bit of walking to get up the mountains but it's worth the effort! Overall a great experience with our friendly and outgoing guide. Highly recommend!!

The area of Zhangjiajie is a must see. The Avatar mountains are stunning and by using an amazing guide like Eric you maximise your time here. We would have never seen as much as we did and had so much insight without him. Fenghuang is a bit of a drive but the night scene is amazing with the ancient town beautifully lit up. The perfect finale is Tianmen Mountain with it’s amazing views and glass platform. This is a stunning area but our guide Eric made it even more special.

I recommend visiting the mountains of zhangjiajie with eric! We organized a magnificent visit to zhangjiajie park and fenghuang, highlighting his kindness and professionalism as well as his driver's.

The private tour led by Eric through the most iconic areas of Zhangjiajie was spectacular. We visited Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, with the Avatar mountains, the longest glass bridge in the world, the Grand Canyon, Tianmen, and the longest glass bridge in the world, among others. We visited the Yellow Dragon Cave (the second largest cave in China), and Furong Ancient Town and Fenghuang both by day and by night, with all the lights illuminating the streets of these beautiful towns. We went by boat, went ziplining, took many buses, escalators, the Bailong elevator, and several chairlifts. Eric is a passionate guide with a lot of experience as a guide, splendid English, and it is clear that he has always lived in this area and knows it perfectly well. Thanks to that, he took us to both typical places and hidden spots where there was literally no one else, so we could get spectacular photos. It is also worth noting that Eric took advantage of every minibus ride to explain to us not only about the site we were going to visit, but also about the history, traditions, culture, and current events in China. Communication with him was fantastic from the first day we contacted him, and he was always available and helpful whenever it was necessary. He took us to restaurants for lunch and dinner, helping us both with recommendations for typical food and with ordering, since very little English is spoken. We went everywhere in a minibus, with drivers who picked us up and dropped us off at the designated place very punctually. In addition, the minibus had very comfortable seats, with back massage and heating. They offered water on every trip. Without a doubt, I would recommend the tour with Eric to future people who wish to travel to the Zhangjiajie area.
