We had an awesome experience with Jenny. She met us at our hotel and came into the park with us. She asked what I wantedto see in the one day that we had her available and from that point on all we had to do was get on the bus off the bus and follow her. She knew all the secret ends announced and got us to see the avatar mountains from an almost private view because of your experience, she scheduled tour so that we would avoid the lines and the crowd. Even though she was not available for our second day, she put together an itinerary and even helped us purchase tickets for the attractions that wanted. She gave us awesome restaurant suggestions and even helped arrange Didi’s for us so we had local pricing. We were hesitant to hire a guide but were so glad that we did. She made the experience stress free and super easy. I would definitely recommend her and use her again if we ever returned. Thanks for a great day Jenny!
We had very limited time in Zhangjiajie, but this tour was very customizable and we were able to do all the highlights and even more! Jenny was out guide, she was super friendly and very informative. She knew when to visit what to avoid crowds and to ensure great views, as visibility could sometimes be an issue here in Zhangjiajie. Amazing trip!
Jenny was our guide for 2 days around Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The weather was so misty but Jenny managed to find us some excellent lookout points with fairly good views. She navigated the long queues and best times and saved us hours of waiting. Jenny is flexible and communicates well. She has good English - would highly recommend.
We spent four days exploring Zhangjiajie (ZJJ) with Jen, and she really made the experience special. From the beginning, she was thoughtful, flexible, and genuinely focused on making sure we had the best trip possible. The weather wasn’t always cooperative, but Jen was constantly adjusting our plans to make the most of each day. She knew exactly when to change things up and took us to some incredible lesser-known spots where we practically had the place to ourselves. Those ended up being some of our favorite moments of the trip! What we appreciated most was how much she cared about the little details. She handled transportation and logistics seamlessly, made sure we were comfortable, and even stayed with us well beyond our planned time to help us get dinner sorted out. She never made us feel rushed or like she was just checking things off an itinerary. Zhangjiajie is an amazing place on its own, but having Jen as our guide made it that much better. We got to experience so much more than we would have on our own, and we’re really grateful for the time and effort she put into making these four days unforgettable. Would absolutely recommend her!
We had an absolutely incredible experience on our tour. Our tour guide Jen was so kind and helpful, she not only had excellent knowledge of the tour sites but she also went above and beyond to ensure we didn’t wait long queues despite October being such a busy travel season, she strategically took us around and kept the day seamless. She was personable and went above and beyond to take us to locations beyond our tour as well which she didn’t have to. It was a great day and after coming all the way from Australia, we would recommend Jen to all our family and friends. Oh and to add to it her English was great which helped the day go even smoother!
The best tour we had in China, the best guide Jenny, it was a wonderful day
My family of 4 had a most memorable 2 days with Eric in ZJJ. He customized the itinerary for us, as we're flying into ZJJ airport on Day 1 and wanted to do Tianmen Mountain that day, then spent a full day in ZJJ National Park the next day. Eric took us to his favorite secret spots, incorporated lots of hiking as we requested, took plenty of photos for us, and to our surprise, he made a short video of us that we can share with our friends! We now rank ZJJ as one of our favorite places; it's as amazing as Yosemite (go in the first week of September to avoid crowds)! We highly recommend Eric Denny to anyone who wish to do a custom tour of ZJJ!
Our trip to Zhangjiajie was beyond our expectations! We enjoyed every moment, and it was made possible with a most well-planned itinerary by our guide Jenny. Jenny’s efficiency and experience helped save us time so that we did and saw everything on our list👍👍
We had an amazing 2-day tour of Zhangjiajie with our guide Jenny! She was super attentive, kind, funny, personable, and incredibly punctual. She took us to all the best scenic spots, including the Glass Bridge, and did a great job organizing everything so we could see the highlights without feeling rushed. Jenny really made the experience special. She was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. It felt more like exploring with a friendly local than being on a typical tour. We highly recommend Jenny to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!
Jenny is extremely nice and patient! She was with our group the entire time, even waiting in the lines with us. She showed us a lot of scenic areas and was flexible with what we wanted to see and do. She made sure we had fun. I would recommend her to everyone!
Thank you Jenny for the tour and your help! She was thoughtful, flexible and always looked after our pace and physical condition. She helped with tickets, transportation and gave good advice on local food. Everything went smoothly. We truly enjoyed our short but amazing trip. I highly recommend Jenny if you are visiting Zhangjiajie for a tour.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable experience with Eric We had the pleasure of spending four days with Eric exploring Zhangjiajie, and we can honestly say that his service was truly exceptional. Eric accompanied us on many different tours, showing us not only the most famous attractions, but above all original, authentic and lesser-known places, very different from the usual tourist itineraries. This is exactly what made our experience so special: we really felt that we were discovering the true Zhangjiajie. The service was private, impeccable and perfectly organized. Eric was always available, punctual and attentive to all our needs, with a level of care for his guests that is truly rare. At every moment, we felt well looked after and guided with great professionalism, but also with friendliness and warmth. After four days together, we can definitely say that Eric made a real difference to our trip to Zhangjiajie, allowing us to enjoy experiences and discover places that we would hardly have found on our own or through standard organized tours. We absolutely recommend Eric to anyone who wants to discover Zhangjiajie in an authentic way, with a high-quality private service and a guide who genuinely cares about his guests. Thank you again for everything, Eric! It was a real pleasure meeting you and experiencing Zhangjiajie with you. Warmest regards, Daniele & Sabrina
Our guide is very friendly and patient. She knows Tianmen Mountain and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park very well. She took good care of everyone in our group and made our sightseeing trip comfortable and wonderful. We highly recommend her.
A very beautiful and unique place, everyone should see at least on in their lifetime! Our guide Jenny was excellent, she is a local who knew the place very well. She took the time to explain everything and never rushes you. She genuinely cares that you have a good time and goes to great lengths to tailor the tour and reduce queue waiting times. I would definitely recommend getting Jenny as your guide if you can!
When you visit a place as a tourist, you can either just see it or really understand it. During this 2-day tour, our guide, Jenny, helped us understand Zhangjiajie. She gave us a great introduction to the history and culture of the area, taught us about some Chinese traditions, let us taste a delicious tea, and even sang some Chinese songs for us. She guided us through the Grand Canyon and the Hallelujah Mountain, managing the schedule perfectly by balancing the time we spent together with the free time we had to enjoy the places on our own. China is not only about its big cities—it is also full of amazing natural beauty. Thanks to this 2-day tour with Jenny, we were able to truly understand and appreciate that.
I was in Zhangjiajie from July 27th to 29th, and I had the opportunity to explore this incredible area with Jenny. With Jenny, I had the chance to immerse myself in the heart of the region and experience the true essence of Zhangjiajie. We discovered amazing places like the Grand Canyon & Glass Bridge, the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, the First Bridge Under Heaven, and Tianmen Mountain. Thanks to her, our group also learned some Chinese words, history, culture, traditions, and tasted typical local dishes. If you want to go home enriched as a person and as a traveler, book Jenny as your guide! She is so knowledgeable, always willing to answer your questions, and ready to fulfill your requests with enthusiasm, empathy, kindness, and helpfulness. See you soon, Jenny!
Lucy, as our guide is so helpful and kind.We had a fun guide with fun tours in Avatar Mountains and Tianmen Mountain. was so Impressed By the nature and landscape we have never seen before. Thank all of you from this company to make wonderful things happen for us. Top Choice to be in Zhangjiajie!
We are so lucky and happy to have an amazing trip in Zhangjiajie. Nice Weather. Good food and adorable guide, friendly driver. Smooth Arrangment. We ve fallen in love with everything here. Will definitely come back some day. :)
My wife, my daughter and I, all Colombians aged 52, 48 and 20 respectively, recently visited Zhangjiajie in China and were lucky enough to have the exceptional guide Lina. From the first moment, Lina captivated us with her deep knowledge of the region, her kindness and her personalized attention. Her passion for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was contagious, and thanks to her we were able to fully enjoy each place we visited. Lina guided us through breathtaking landscapes, such as Yuanjiajie, the Bailong Elevator, the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car, the Glass Bridge in the Grand Canyon, the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the Jinbian Stream, Tianmen Mountain, the 99-Bend Highway, the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car, the Glass Skywalk and the Tiananmen Escalator. Each place had its own unique charm, and Lina made sure we didn't miss a thing. Lina not only provided us with accurate information about the history, geology and culture of the region, but also helped us understand the deep connection that exists between the people of Zhangjiajie and their natural environment. Her passion for environmental conservation was evident, and it inspired us to appreciate even more the beauty of this unique place. Beyond her knowledge and professionalism, Lina became a friend during our trip. Her warmth and kindness made us feel at home, and she was always willing to answer our questions and help us with anything we needed. Without a doubt, Lina is an exceptional guide and we highly recommend her to anyone planning to visit Zhangjiajie. Her knowledge, kindness and passion for the region make her the perfect guide to make your trip an unforgettable experience. Here is a brief description of some of the places we visited with Lina: Yuanjiajie: Famous for its towering sandstone pillars and lush green forests, Yuanjiajie is a place of breathtaking beauty. Here we were able to walk among the pillars, enjoy the panoramic views from the viewpoint and visit Huangshi Cave, a karstic cave with unique rock formations. Bailong Elevator: This world's tallest outdoor elevator offered us a unique experience as we ascended the Tianzi Mountain side. From the elevator cabin, we were able to enjoy breathtaking views of the park. Tianzi Mountain Cable Car: A ride on this cable car allowed us to closely observe the sandstone pillars and rock formations that characterize the Zhangjiajie landscape. The views from the top of Tianzi Mountain are simply spectacular. Glass Bridge in the Grand Canyon: Walking on this transparent glass bridge that stretches over the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon was an exciting and adrenaline-filled experience. The views of the canyon from the bridge are unparalleled. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon: This canyon, one of the deepest in the world, took our breath away with its immensity and natural beauty. We toured the canyon by boat, enjoying the views of the rock formations and lush vegetation. Jinbian Stream: A walk along this peaceful stream allowed us to relax and enjoy nature in its purest state. The crystal-clear water of the stream and the green surroundings create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Tianmen Mountain: This mountain, considered one of the most sacred in China, offers stunning panoramic views of the park. We reached the top of the mountain by cable car and were able to walk along the Glass Skywalk, a glass-floored path that allowed us to observe the landscape from a unique perspective. In short, our trip to Zhangjiajie was an unforgettable experience thanks to the exceptional guide Lina. Her knowledge, kindness and passion for the region make her the perfect guide for anyone who wants to discover the beauty of this unique place.
best experience! Good guide, very dynamic and showed us a lot of secret spots. The driver was very kind too. Recommend for couples
We travelled with very amazing impression on how good the provider, Eric as arranger and Mike as the tour guide for my trip. They delivered not only the best in giving advisory on the best itinerary (since our arrival is delayed) and services for my family but also the best in giving extramiles, such as helping me to get back my left behind passport at the plane with continous update and Thanks Eric, Mike and the while team. YOU ARE SUPERB and THE BEST TOUR PROVIDER I have experienced so far in our worldwide travel.
We had a comprehensive 7 day tour (the actual time we were with him) which included Zhangjiajie area and other sites such as the Red Stone Forest, South Great Wall and historic Fenghuang. Eric guided and accompanied us on every walk- hours on our feet, up and down many steps (not a leisurely trip!), always encouraging and feeding us much information. Going to good photo spots. He also bought us to some interesting sites which was not mentioned in the itinerary. We chose our own lodging with a more local boutique flavour, which Eric reviewed, and all was ok. What is almost as important was knowing where to eat. Eric bought us to local restaurants/eating places which exposed us to many yummy flavours and interesting cooking. Not all food here is VERY hot and spicy, some cooking had blends of spices which resulted in very savory cuisine. We tried one "normal" dinner at the Pullman Hotel (as we had very good experiences at the major hotels at Li Jiang and other cities) but the food here was very mediocre. The car with competent driver included with tour was very comfortable. One time on the road we had a car problem- but a second comfortable car came in about 15 minutes, indicating a very reliable transport company. Eric also was familiar with some local residents who had permissible private car transport in Zhangjiajie, skipping ques and buses on several occasions. (Note general private cars are not allowed in Zhangjiajie). Only a couple cons: 1) the main attractions at Zhangjiajie are very crowded, and this was considered a slow period, though most of the walks had less people; 2) Eric's spoken English is not the best, though not a major problem. All in all, a very enjoyable trip- highly recommended.
ZJJ Review Go for this tour if you want an exclusively local and photography-centric tour. Eric knew very well that we wanted to avoid the massive crowds, and that we wanted to view scenic spots for videography and photography. His extensive knowledge of hidden spots, key timings and view points within Zhangjiajie enabled us to visit quite a few spots which only locals would know of. These places offered not just the serenity for you to capture in the magical landscape of Zhangjiajie, but also the best angles depending on the time of day & sun. We were very lucky to avoid most of the crowds, which is a huge concern for us since their presence could sometimes spoil an otherwise perfect shot. We are extremely thankful to Eric for putting together an itinerary which enabled us to experience the mountains seamlessly, from above, below and around. We stayed in a local tea inn for the first night after viewing the sunset from a remote hill across the tea fields. On the second day, we were able to experience more of the mountains from above, before moving down to the ground and viewing everything from below, by the stream. The walk was not easy, but it was certainly rewarding as being on the ground demonstrated the magnificent scale of these sandstone pillars which we could not have experienced from above. We were gifted with clear skies and great lighting! On the third day, we visited Tianmen Mountain. A sight to behold from near and far. We had to endure a queue to board the cable cars but this was expected. Eric knew where we could get the best angles of the 99 bends, and shared with us where to sit on the cable cars. True enough, we were able to capture some amazing shots with dramatic lighting. Without Eric’s knowledge of the local area, our tour would not have been as fruitful. He entertained us with so much local knowledge and lores about the mountains and on top of that, he brought us to places where we could experience the best local cuisines. His experience and extensive knowledge of the local area, his pleasant personality and his knowledge of photography made the entire tour worth while. If you are a photographer or a team of photographers looking to capture and learn more about Zhangjiajie, definitely go with Eric’s tour. He was communicative with us before during and after the tour, and guided us in make all the right bookings for this trip. We did not have to worry much about anything at all since he put together everything nicely, and all we needed to focus on was getting the perfect shots.
Eric brought us around the highlights of Zhangjiajie such as Yuanjiajie, golden whip stream, tianmen mountain etc. The sights were beautiful. Eric would explain some history about each location before we embark on the sightseeing, hence giving more depth and meaning to the places of interest. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, recommended!
Zhangjiajie is fantastic and Eric made our holiday extra special with his attention to detail. Everything was extremely well organized. Eric picked us up at the airport, explained the schedule to us in detail and reported promptly every morning to help us get going. He adjusted the schedule to take advantage of the weather (we got great pictures) and at every attraction everything was very well organized and explained to us. Eric is really passionate about his hometown, culture and food. He recommended great restaurants and food choices. His folklore stories are amazing to listen to. He's also a fantastic singer and treated us to amazing renditions of traditional Chinese love songs. While Zhangjiajie is easy to get around, if you don't speak mandarin and have less time on your hands, I would recommend having a tour guide and Eric is definitely one of the best. He loves his job and his city and he made sure we had a great time.
