You were not honest in the description of the day’s itinerary for Zhangjiajie National Forest, which included the Grand Canyon that day. I had to cut it short and missed part of the excursion in order to go see the glass bridge. On the other hand, Archie, our guide, is exceptional—friendly, knows his job perfectly, and speaks perfect English. I will recommend Archie.

Zhangjiajie delivers world-class scenery. We had three days, which gave us time to truly appreciate the area without feeling rushed. This review covers all three days. First, our guide Weifang, who was so amazing she deserves special mention. She also goes by Ivy. From the moment she picked us up, she was warm, attentive, and genuine. Beyond her exceptional organizational skills, Weifang opened doors to understanding Chinese culture in ways we couldn't have achieved on our own. She's fluent in English, deeply knowledgeable about local history and culture, and incredibly resourceful. She managed all tickets, transportation, and timing flawlessly. When we had special requests—laundry, zipline bookings, cultural show tickets, massages—she handled everything efficiently. She even shared personal stories about her Tujia heritage, including her "Crying Marriage" tradition experience, which added meaningful cultural depth to our journey. Tour Highlights: Day 1: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including Golden Whip Stream (watch for the monkeys!), Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie scenic area including the amazing scenery of the Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountain, Yangjiajie's Natural Great Wall, and Tianzi Mountain via cable car. Zhangjiajie should be on everyone's must see list when visiting China. The views are spectacular, and the cuisine unique and delicious. We were lucky to have Ivy as our guide - her stories of local folklore, traditions and history made our trip unforgettable. And despite her claim that she is not a professional singer - wow, she can really really sing!!!

We had some great days in Zhangjiajie. We visited the National Park and the Glass Bridge. It was awesome, even it was raining nonstop. Our guide Jason really knows how to do his job. He provided us a lot of information and gives us helpful tips besides the offical tour. We asked him about the theater next to the hotel and whether we can watch the show that was not included in our trip. He offered us to book the tickets for us and even brought us to our seats. Everything worked out perfectly. The driver was friendly and on time everytime. Definitiv worth the money.

So glad I booked this tour, saved time not fumbling around looking up where to go. The van that picked us up was very modern and comfortable, we were picked up from our hotel in Wulingyuan district and dropped off at our subsequent hotel in the Yongding district at the end of the tour. Communication with tour provider was great, they always replied quickly. Our tour guide on the day, Bob, was very informative and helpful, and provided advice on different ways to approach the attraction, as our son is only 7. He also helped us take pictures, both on our phones and his, which was way better than ours haha. Both the glass bridge and Tianmen mountain were an outstanding experience for our family, I would recommend going with this tour if want a hassle-free experience and make the most of your day.

Day 2 of the trip (Glass Bridge and Mt. Tianmen) was with Christina. She was very helpful and organized. Safety was a priority for her which was much appreciated. In spite of the crowd at the locations, she navigated the group very well. Her English is very good and we had a brilliant time with Christina on the Glass Bridge and Mt. Tianmen tour.

I booked a 2-day mini group trip to Avatar mountains and to the Glass Bridge / Mt. Tianmen. All the logistics were organised perfectly. The size of the group - up to 11 people - allowed to minimise waiting time and to maximise impressions of Zhangiagie. Our guides during the 2 days - Liz and Michelle - were very professional, they did their utmost to give us the best views despite the tricky weather conditions and took good care of the group. I recommend this tour strongly to all those willing to get as much as possible of their stay in this wonderful area of beautiful Chinese scenery!

Unfortunately it was super rainy & foggy throughout the tour, so we were unable to get clear views of the mountains. Our tour guide, Liz, was super helpful by providing us with raincoats and was able to lead us to the perfect spots where we can get a little bit of a clear glimpse of the mountains. She adjusted our schedule according to the weather, so that we can reach the scenery at a good time when the fog clears. She took our photos (for solo travellers) which turned out lovely. We also received a complementary bag at the end of the tour. Liz was amazing. Despite the weather, I enjoyed myself and would recommend it during better seasons.

Unfortunately the weather was super rainy and we were unable to see the mountains very clearly due to the heavy mist. However, our lovely tour guide, Liz, provided us with raincoats and was able to find the best spots for us to take photos where we can see a bit of the mountains. Liz also readjusted our schedule according to the weather updates so that we can see a clearer view. She took photos of us, which turned out awesome. And the pickup and drop off to the hotels was flawless. We also got to take home a nice little bag as a gift from the tour guide. Still had nice time despite the weather and lack of views. Recommend during better seasons.

I took the 2 day tour. On the first day with tour guide, Christina. Although the weather bad, she kept positive and took us to the best spots for some pictures when possible. The days after she stayed in contact to help me figure out how to visit myself when the weather was clearer, thank you! Second day I had Liz as my tour guide. The weather was even worse, but she also kept positive and we saw a lot more. with the right attitude it’s an amazing experience anyway. Would 100% recommend!!

Our group had the privilege of having Vicky and Bailey guide our visit to the Zhangjiajie glass bridge and Tianmen Mountain. They were both knowledgeable and provided unique perspectives to our experience in Zhangjiajie. The small group size helped with streamlining the visit to Tianmen Mountain. There were still a crowd of tourists even during the low season so be prepared for a bit of queueing when taking the escalators, shuttle busses, and cable cars.

We had an amazing day visiting the glass bridge and mount Tianmen - both sites are amazing and are definitely worth the visit. We were guided by Zoe, who turned out to be one of the most amazing persons we met on this trip. Zoe made everything more special, from explaining the features of the attractions to highlighting the main aspects of the Chinese culture. If you are coming to Zhangjiajie, having Zoe as the guide is definitely a game changer!

We had such a wonderful experience on our Zhangjiajie 2-day mini group tour with Mira as our guide. From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone was comfortable. Ivy was our tour guide in Zhangjiajie. We had 22 people, ranging from 9 to 81. Ivy was an amazing guide. She provided us with interesting cultural background and gave us great dinner recommendations. The kids enjoyed the stories she told. Ivy was also very patient with the group. She was always punctual, always had a smile on her face even when we were running slightly late…she kept us on time with a smile. We would definitely use Ivy again when we come back.

The highlight of our tour in Zhangjiajie was the two days guided tour with our English-speaking guide Elizabeth. She was informative, attentive and service-minded. We were guided through Zhangjiajie National Forest and its sceneries on the 1st day. Then we went to Glass Bridge of Grand Canyon and to Tianmen Mountains on the 2nd day. Elizabeth made the tours comfortable and easy for our age group. The whole tour is expensive with the entrance fees and guiding included, but is worth the 16 hours we spent and the value we paid for.

Perfect tour with our wonderful English-speaking guide Liz. Everything on the tour description was followed in detail. She explained, answered questions, took nice pictures for us, gave us orientation about Chinese names and numbers, introduced the places we visited and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. Our Tour Guide Liz was the Best She’s Professional, knowledgeable, funny and very helpful . she went above and beyond she showed us everything we need to see and experience. Both days was filled with excitement and thrills i definitely recommend to take this tour with them. A few of people we met along the way were lost & didn’t really know where to go and what to do, Good thing Liz with us and people end up asking her for help since no one can assist them. It was an amazing trip. The sceneries were surreal. Our tour guide Ivy was very knowledgeable and very caring. The daily itinerary was well planned. We covered the Avatar mountains, Glass bridge, Tianmen Cave etc, with some downtime for us to enjoy the beautiful city by ourselves in the evening. Ivy also arranged the most delicious minority tujia lunches. She also helped us booked the foot massages and musical performances in the evening. She took us to the high-speed train station and made sure we knew where to check in. I will definitely visit Zhangjiajie again and hope to see Ivy again.

So we went on this beautiful scenery tour of the magical Chinese mountains that inspired Avatar. We were lucky with the weather and had a very smooth trip with our guide Liz.

We highly recommend Ivy (Chinese name: Wei Fang) for an English-speaking tour of Zhangjiajie and surrounding ancient cities of Furong, and Fenghuang. She made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. Our small private group consisted of an adult traveling with two seniors. One of the seniors had knee issues and Ivy carefully monitored her progress on the numerous stairs and kept her stable on the steps. Ivy was very helpful from arrival to departure. Ivy purchased our tickets and took us to scenic areas in Zhangjiajie that had minimal lines. We had seen YouTube videos of visitors buying the wrong tickets and getting in the wrong lines because they did not speak Mandarin or read Chinese. We were so thankful Ivy handled all the logistics for us and sped us through the lines. She knows the best spots to avoid the crowds when taking pictures and helped take fun photos of us. She even made a memory movie for us. She was very knowledgeable about history of the places we visited and the minority cultures of the area.. In three full days in amazing Zhangjiajie, we took the Bailong Elevator up to Yuanjiajie scenic area to see Hallelujah Mountains; visited Tianzi Mountain, Ten Mile Gallery, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon with Glass Bridge; hiked along Golden Whip Stream and visited Tianmen Mountain. Ivy then accompanied us by van for one day each in the ancient towns of Furong and Fenghuang. We especially loved Furong with its waterfalls. Ivy helped us order non-spicy foods in local restaurants in Zhangjiajie, Furong, and Fenghuang because we can’t “take the heat.” After one of our Zhangjiajie day tours, Ivy went out of her way to take us to Li Junsheng’s large gallery in downtown Zhangjiajie because we saw and loved his sandstone artwork in a smaller gallery in the mountains. It was so thoughtful of her, and we truly appreciated her generosity. She treated us like family. Ivy was extremely friendly and caring. She provided us with a very memorable trip. Ivy is a wonderful tour guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company throughout our trip. We highly recommend Ivy (Wei Fang) to anyone who needs an English-speaking tour guide.

People say Zhangjiajie is the most beautiful place in China, and I agree. The mountain, landscape, streams, and scenery are unparalleled. Also the Bailong Elevator, glass bridge and walkways, and escalators inside the rocky mountain are amazing. We had a private tour for our family and it worked out beautifully. Our tour guide, Ivy/Welfang, planned our trip perfectly. We had private transportation through the entire tour, and we never need to waste time in waiting. With her help we saw all the places/attractions we wanted to see in just 3 days. Ivy was custom-oriented, patient in explaining, and caring. We had seniors on our tour, and she help to care for them.
