WENDY was amazing! So patient and kind to us. She explained things so well and she was really sweet! I would recommend this to everyone and ask for Wendy!!

Itinerary
At 9am, your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Wulingyuan Scenic Area, where Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located, to visit its two most classic and popular attractions.
Take a cable car up to Tianzi Mountain, and you will see large areas of grotesque peaks thrusting up. Walking along the steps spectacular views unfold in front of you from different angles.
In the afternoon, ride a public shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, whose mountains are said to be the inspiration for Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain. This area is the most visited area due to its fame. It takes about 1 hour to walk the tourist trails, before you take the shuttle bus for the cable car down the mountain. Your trip will come to an end around 5pm and you will be dropped back to your hotel in Zhangjiajie city center. Transfer to the train station for your departure train is also workable.
There is another option for getting down the mountain - Bailong Elevator. This glass elevator was built on the side of a cliff, and it claims to be the world's highest of its kind. It takes only 2 minutes, but at peak times you might need to queue one or two hours to take it. If you are interested in taking the elevator, tell your guide in advance, so that he/she can arrange beforehand to avoid the long queues.

WENDY WAS AMAZING! Best tour guide ever. Highly recommend for an epic day exploring all this area has to offer
Horrible service both operationally and customer support. Driver didn’t show up at pick up location even though our train arrived on time. He eventually arrived 30 minutes late. No reason given and Viator refused refund or compensation.
We had the most amazing day in Zhangjiajie. Our guide, Nora, was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She took us through the incredible Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including the famous “Avatar” mountains, and her knowledge of the area was outstanding. What really made the day special was how she went beyond the typical tourist spots. We explored so many places and viewpoints that we would never have discovered on our own. Nora was friendly, professional, and made everything easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking with Nora if you’re visiting Zhangjiajie—it truly made our experience unforgettable.
Wendy was absolutely phenomenal as our tour guide through Zhangjiajie National Park and the Glass Bridge. From start to finish, she made the experience seamless, informative, and full of heart. Her deep knowledge of the park’s history, geology, and hidden gems brought the landscapes to life in a way we couldn’t have imagined on our own. She navigated us through the crowds with ease, gave us the best photo tips at the Avatar Mountains, and made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight—from the serene beauty of the Tianzi Mountain views to the thrilling walk across the Glass Bridge. Wendy’s warmth, humor, and genuine care made the entire adventure unforgettable. We felt lucky to have her guiding us through one of the most breathtaking places in the world. Highly recommend booking with her if you want a meaningful and stress-free journey through Zhangjiajie!
The itinerary was excellent covering all the major aattractions. Lunch was better than most of those included in tours, full menu, nice ambience. But best of all was our guide May who spoke excellent english, understood all of our questions, and took an interest in our enjoyment . Her pace was just right. She was the best guide we have had in china.
The mountains are breathtaking and a must see. The park is huge with 4 separate regions, various shuttle buses, cable cars, and numerous large tour groups. If traveling independently from abroad, a tour guide is a must. Our tour guide Anna was amazing. She made the visit move along seamlessly and enriched the whole experience with information about the region’s history, culture, and geography. She took us to some “secret spots” with few tourists (which is extremely rare) and amazing views. I traveled with two energetic boys and zoomed through the planned itinerary. Anna was extra generous and took us to a bonus spot in the valley for a walk along a stream. If possible, try to request her!!
It was great experience in over all . The place is awesome must see this nature wonder .. it was very well arranged by the tour company . The pick up was on time planned very well our tour guide was very good . I owe Linda big thank you she did her job excellent & she guided me very well saw to it we don’t get stuck in crowd . Linda was best tour guide she went out of her way and arranged things for me . I would recommend this tour to all of you visiting here it makes it easy & enjoyable .
Everything you would want it to be and more! I knew nothing about Zhangjiajie, except that my daughter had learned about it in high school and wanted to go. So I booked this excursion blindly and it was fabulous! Wendy was our tour guide and she went above and beyond to make our day great. From hotel pickup to history, and culture of the National park she was right on point. The mountains were beautiful, the cable car was fun, and we had a great day. Wendy took the time to show us some sites that were off the beaten path and was so very patient with all of the pictures we took. She even recommended some things for our next day that was an amazing day as well. Hint: We went at the end of August and had no lines or crowds. We were told the weeks before were crazy crowded.
Highly recommend this full day tour to Zhangjiajie! The tour company was very accommodating of our change in plans. Eileen was such a great tour guide, we really enjoyed talking with her and learning more about the area. The views were absolutely stunning and well worth the visit to Zhangjiajie. The park was very crowded but Eileen was able to get us through lines rather quickly. Thank you Eileen!!
As a female solo traveller it was reassuring for the pick up and drop off, to and from my hotel offer. I think Anna (my English speaking tour guide) was both very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She knew the mountains major hot spots, some of which were less congested and away from other competitions tours. Time well spent. Highly recommend.
First of all we were at the park at May holiday. It was bad weather - cliuds and rain and huge amount of people. We spend so much time in the queues It was our mistake to take tour with so many points of interests. From my point of view it is easy to take only half of this point and have time to take walk at the sky with out rush. Our guide was Linda. Very pollite and friendly. She did her best to give us possibility to see the best places and enjoy the walk. Thank you her very much.
This tour is amazing. The views are breathtaking, and you can see a lot! My guide was Derrick and he was awesome. His English was great, he was very knowledgeable and ensured the best possible use of time and the best possible experience for me!
Our tour was eye opening. Our guide, David, was fantastic. English was great and knowledge was exceptional. Perfect tour for Zhangjiajie. Cable car (great view) and elevator (experience) Bring great walking and stair climbing shoes. Also, snacks. Highly recommend this tour
Tour Guide Our guide Ms .Wendy was very punctual, hospitable , speaks good English and knowledgeable She went beyond expectation to assist us as a first timer in town during the tour day . Itinerary This is a private tour , hence no rush to visit all the featured spots -well crafted by the local tour and Viator Transport Comfortable MPV was mobilized with experienced and safe driver
Nice park, with nice view from the bottom. But we was not lucky with the weather and absolute no view from the top. The guide was very nice and service minded but we paid a very expence rate for english speaking guide. But his English was very poor and very difficult to understand. Further this is a full day trip, but lunch is not included. It is several lunch possibilities, but all extremely noisy and the qulity of the food we had was poor. All in all i recomended to stay away from this trip. It is far to expensive, you do not get the value for money.
This was an amazing tour. Everything was so well organized and Wendy was an incredible tour guide. She took me to so many “hidden” spots that had amazing viewpoints and with no tourists! Her command of English was also excellent and she was very pleasant and friendly.
We spent the day with Carrie and had an amazing time here. Carrie was super helpful right from the start. She was a wealth of knowledge. We had a private tour for just our group. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the highlights in a day. Well worth it!
Our tour guide, Candy made our Zhangjianjie national park experience amazing and indescribable. She and Mr. Wu (our driver) were very kind, knowledgeable and accomodating with some out of the way requests. Her English is very good and she was careful to not over exert my wife with the steps. Another good thing was that she always got us to the front of the lines. The tour company in general showed integrity and professionalism. We're very pleased, happy and satisfied with their services.
Ann was the guide of us for eight full days at Zhang Jie Jie, the Glass Bridge and Mount Tainmen. She also accompanied us in Fenghuang Ancient City (Phoenix City). From the moment we met her, she captivated us with her vitality, her energy, her excellent and clear English, her grace and seance of humor. We were four adults with some health problems. She was attentive to our problems, showed flexibility in adapting the route to our ability without detracting from the experience of the trip. She accompanied us from the moment we woke up in the morning until the evening, taking care of all our needs, food, clothing, shopping and solving communication problems. She was professional, loyal, and graceful. She even has a clear and pleasant voice and she sang us songs. I recommend on her with all my heart.
My husband and I spend two days visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest and the Tianmen Mountain in part of a 14 day tour in China. We had a great time! Our private tour guide name was Lee and she was AMAZING. She took us to the best viewing points, recommend the best routes to what we wanted, and helped us avoid the crowds! We did not bring cell phones only our camera (which is not allowed on the glass bridge) and Lee was kind enough to take pictures on her phone for us and emailed them to us. We had such a great time and the park was stunning, the monkeys were so fun to watch, and the food outside the park was DELICIOUS! She had the best recommendations (take your guides advice for a better experience). We cant wait to go back once the Bungee Jumping on the bridge is open.
As part of an 18 day trip organised by Sally from China Travel I was guided round the Zhangjiajie National Park by David. My primary request was for good photographic opportunities and David went out of his way to take me to places not often visited by the main tour guides. Nothing was a bother for him, he rearranged tours where he could to work around the weather and heavy cloud cover to get me some dramatic shots which I fully appreciated. An excellent guide with over 13 years experience of tours in this area and it showed. A fantastic 4 days which I will never forget. This is my first trip to China but certainly will not be my last. What a wonderful country and wonderful people.
Our timing was not the best, it was rainy but we had a great time. Anna was our tour guide. She is awesome. My husband and I really like her. She speaks English clearly. She listens to our needs, patient and try to help us as much as she can. I enjoy talking to her and learn about the china culture and stories of the mountains. One of the things we are excited about before we come to china is to try the tradition local food. All of the restaurants she took us to were amazing. Its foods we can't find in the USA. The national park is so beautiful. You have to see it in person to really see the beautifulness of it. Words cannot describe it. Even with the rain we got some really nice pictures with the mist and nature. We will definitely come back in the future. We still want to see the Avatar mountain since the mist covered it all. We went to the Avatar mountain, elevator, glass bridge, golden whip stream, baofeng lake, and tianmen mountain. A lot of walking.
Zhangjiajie probably isn’t one of the primary stops on a foreign tour circuit of China, but offers absolutely dramatic and unique scenery. Our energetic guide Carol with China Highlights did a great job of helping us see the parks there. We stayed just a couple of minutes from Zhangjiajie National Park and visited the park the next morning. Its main viewing points are from high ridges and rims above the park. Local tourist crowds visiting the park are large, and Carol immediately added value helping us find the fastest queue lines to board the bus and later the cable car to reach the top. We would have spent much more time on our own just trying to get tickets and navigate the queues. We learned about the park history, the farming communities in/around it, and the formation of the amazing mountains, and Carol doubled as a great photographer to take photos of us. Be prepared for lots of visitors. Carol helped us find a couple of quiet places to enjoy the views on our own during the day, and managed our schedule to avoid peaks at spots like the glass elevator down. Its hard to capture this amazing place on photos, though its scenery was inspiration for that in the movie Avatar. We had some good snacks prepared by local vendors on the mountain, then after leaving the park Carol took us to a local restaurant for delicious early dinner. Carol recommended that my wife and I would enjoy walking and seeing night life in the scenic town along the river and she was right. The next day we visited the Chinese Grand Canyon with its glass bottom bridge. It was another pretty location with the unique feature of views below your feet, but also very popular with local tourists. After a short visit to cross the bridge and return, we drove about an hour to Tianmen Mountain (near Zhangjiajie airport). The views going up to the mountain in the world’s longest cable car and from top are fantastic. The area around the mountain is viewed from walkways suspended on the side of cliffs around the mountain offer very dramatic views. Carol helped us determine which paths we would want to take for our interest (we chose the entire outer circumference). We were very fortunate to have clear weather on both days maximizing our views. That night we stayed in town below the mountain to be well located for a drive to the train station at Changsa the next day to catch a train to Guilin. Carol made our visit to Zhangjiajie a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed her company.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park with our guide Derrick. He is a native of the mountains and is a wealth of information on the region and its people. His English is excellent. Derrick is also very efficient and was able to adapt our itinerary on the fly. He provided us ideas for evening walks and options. Derrick also sang a traditional Tujia folk song to welcome us. He has a beautiful voice. Highly recommend him!
Our family of three ventured to Zhangjiajie not knowing much about the area. However, once we finished the scenic, interesting, and memorable tour, we were incredibly grateful to have visited. The guide, David, from China Highlights, certainly made the trip smooth and enjoyable. He showed us less crowded areas of the parks, was patient with our 1.5 yr old son, and gave us a well orchestrated introduction to Zhangjiajie. We will be recommending this tour to any and all.
My tour guide, Apple was awesome, very considerate, kind and Patience. I enjoyed the busy 3 day tour schedule and the local food!
Did a four day tour of Zhangjiajie with China Highlights, very memorable and very satisfied. Our tour guide, Summer did a superb job of making it possible. From the time we were met at the airport until the time we were dropped off for the flight to our next stop we were very well taken care of, everything was arranged by her and our tour was smooth sailing. Her backgrounders on the sites visited made us appreciate more the beauty before us. Being a local, her recommendations for meals were spot on, delicious and value for money. You cant go wrong with China Highlights.
We booked this tour with Elena from China Highlights, who helped us with useful quotations and advises. Everything was alright, specially our guide Derrick ! He helped us in enjoying one of the best days in China. He adapted the route depending on the amount of people and the weather conditions. His english is perfect! So we were able to learn a lot about the province. We also saw the famous Avatar mountain from different angles! :) Finally, once we were back in town, he took us to a local market and he helped us in tasting local food and sweets. This was the perfect final for a Wonderful day in Zhangjiajie!
I did a 5 day trip: Day 1 - Tianmen Cave Day 2 - ZZJ Day 3 - Golden Whip Stream Day 4 - Fenghuang Day 5 - Furong Loved every stop. The scenery was gorgeous and Lee adjusted my schedule as soon as she realized what I did and didn't like. The local tour groups are large and can get very noisy so she arranged for me to see quiet, secluded spots since I just wanted to appreciate the beauty in silence. I also needed her assistance to follow up on shipping back an item I had bought and she was very helpful. Highly recommend.
We were with 9 persons exploring Zhangjiajie for 4 days. Zhangjiajie is very beautiful and really worth to go there, better than Jiuzhaigou or Huangshan. We are also glad that we visiting this year because the infrastructure now is much better compare than 5 years ago. You can go upstair with the cable car and go down with (14) escalators, also there is now the famous glass bottom bridge (432m), really fun to walk through the glass bottom bridge. Our guide Ann from China Highlight really excellent, she guided us from early in the moring untill late in the evening also during the lunch and diner. We lose our camera in the bus, but she can arranged that the camera was sent back to us by the bus company. Our compliment for her. We recommended to visiting Zhangjiajie and China Highlights travel agency from Guilin.
We spent amazing moments in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain with our guide Ann. Excursions were great, we were happy with the organization and definitely want to go any time back to Zhangjiajie. I recommend it to everybody, who likes wonderful nature with great views. Fantastic experience!
Our guide, Derrick picked us up from Yichang after we disembarked from our 4 days Yangtze cruise on the Century Paragon. Derrick was courteous and much to our surprise and delight gave us some snacks and fruit to snack on (lunch was not on our itinerary that day) as we started our long 41/2 drive to Zhangjiajie. He was very informative and shared with us a lot of information about the different regions in China, ZJJ and answered all our queries with ease. He even sang to us in his local Tujia (minority group) dialect! Zhangjiajie and Tianmen are 2 of the most pictureque and scenic places we'd visited and having a good guide made our holiday experience even more special!
Our tour guide Ann speaks good English. She took us to all important attractions and some less frequent by people. The glass bridge and the world longest cable were the highlight of the trip. The scenery in Zhangjiajie and Tianmen are breathtaking, you just have to be there to appreciate the beauty...not something you can experience by watching it on YouTube. We were there in July, the weather were super hot and lots of people (China school holiday) so I would suggest not visiting during the month of July and August. If I go again, it would be in September. Our tour guide Ann is very patient and knowledgeable about the area, she actually grew up there...lucky her...how can you get tired looking at scenery like this. The food during the tour was average but we are not hungry after we were done and Ann is always trying to accommodate us with food and drinks. I would highly recommend Ann if you need an English speaking guide who is also very patient and knowledgeable about the area.
My tour guide Lee guided me to all important sights. Some were visited by many people. But Lee always knew another smaller vantage point where almost no people could be found. So I could enjoy the nature away from the tourist crowd and relax. In addition, I always got the option to take easy walks or trails instead of bus, Cablecar or elevator. Fortunately we eat away from the tourist restaurants directly at a view point and in simple restaurants in which I would certainly not have gone alone. The food was top! At the departure my return flight was cancelled due to a typhoon. My travel advisor Lan from China Highlights and the Guide Lee made in a short time real that I could start my planed journey with other transportations. Lee even sent me informations one day later how to spend my afternoon in Changsha. Thank you very much Lee and Lan.
Our 3 full days of Zhangjiajie tour was the highlight of our 14 day China trip! We are 4 friends who live in NYC and decided to do a 14 day trip in China that included Beijing, Zhangjiajie, X'ian, Chengdu and Shanghai. We are so impressed with ChinaHighlights as a tour company and Sara our guide in Zhangjiajie. She made our tour special! Activities: 3 full days of itinerary was perfect and the order of the itinerary was great as it built up the wow factor. day 1 - all the yuanjiajie area day 2 - glass bridge and baofeng lake. We squeezed in a night zhangjiajie impressions variety show which was fun 3 - Tianmen mountain with endless thrills which to us was the highlight of all. If we had another day, we would have gone to the Phoenix village 2 hours drive away and stayed there overnight. The amazing nature scene is unlike anything I have seen. The cloud and the mountain seems to change all the time. Lodging: we stayed in Zhangjiajie Pullman hotel which is extremely close to the Yuanjiajie national forest park, you can even walk to where the park's shuttle bus. It's next door to the Impressions show, 10 min walk to Xibu street and the surrounding streets with many restaurants, tea houses and small shops. The village of Yuanjiajie has a beautiful stream runs through it which is great for morning walks. The hotel has a pool, spa and few restaurants. The breakfast buffet is pretty good with extensive Chinese and Western offerings. An alternative is the new Crown Plaza hotel next door. The best part is the location of the hotel. Food: Our group tends to have a fulfilling breakfast in the hotel first (we have breakfast at 8am and start the activities at 9-9:30am to avoid large Chinese tour group's early start. The restaurant is super busy at 7am with most large group tours start at 8am) We do our activities and usually when it ends around 2pm we have our lunch back in Yuanjiajie town with tastier and authentic food instead on the mountains. Our favorite restaurant is "Tang Shi Fu Tu Jia Shi Fu", it's a bit away from the busy/touristy Xibu street. The customers there are local and some tourists but not as rowdy as those on Xibu street. Food in Zhangjiajie is Hunan style which can be a bit spicy. We Loved the abundant vegetables, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, greens with beef, chicken, fish, pork. Eat outside to experience the true local cooking, not in hotels. Experience: We had a tight schedule but only wanted to use a tour company in smaller cities and cars are needed. We are very happy with the China Highlights company from planning, to greeting us in the airport, checking in hotels, car transports, and with the most friendly and amazing guide Sara in Zhangjiajie. Sara speaks fluent English, she is energetic, warm, fun, knowledgable, efficient, flexible and helped us avoid crowds by tweaking the order of the activities. She suggested additional activity options and helped arranging the night show. She brought us to a tea shop with tea ceremony when one of us asked about it. She helped us ordering food and even pre-ordered dinner and arranged with the restaurants ahead of time. Having Sara as a guide is the highlight of this tour! Why visit: After our entire trip was finished, the part that made the most impression was Zhangjiajie. Its natural scenery is out of this world and it adds nature to a first time tour of China which mostly can be going between cities. Highly recommended!
We booked this private tour through China Highlights, and were very fortunate to have David as our tour guide. Compare with all the other private tour guides we have had from China Highlights during our trip in China this summer, David was definitely the most experienced, knowledgeable, humorous, and easy going person. He was so considerate that he even provided suggestions and plans before we could even think about them, and would appreciated them afterwards. For example, all the other tour guides we had at other places all asked us what we wanted to eat for lunch, and it was usually hard to answer since there were so many choices. David only asked us about our food restrictions, and started ordering dishes for us. Oh boy, they were delicious, authentic, and memorable. Another example, one of the tourist sights was closed due to a recent accident, he offered two different options with the details of two different daily schedules to let us pick. In the park, David could identify many trees and bugs, and also knew several secret spots which were attractive without too much tourists around. He is a dream comes true. Thank you so much, David.
This a crown jewel in the natural treasury of china. explore it and make sure to include a good guide for the trip up to the mountain and into the forests.. the peaks are mesmerizing, unique and inviting. lots to be explored in the hike up the mountains. lovely flora and fauna, lots of monkeys who entertain all along with their stunts. rest is a mystery to be unsolved by each traveller. i promise it is funa and a blessing both!
In mid May, I travelled Zhangjiajie with my family. It was a magnificent view. I will recommend my friends to go Zhangjiajie If they want to see the scenery beyond description. My guide, Kitty, really help us and especially gave attention to my old lady and my little son who had some difficulties when travelling. With her help, we could adjust our daily itinerary. I really appreciate her help.
We recently spent 2 weeks in China and part of that was a 3 day private tour to Zhangjiajie. Of all our tour guides on our trip, David was by far the best. The restaurants and food selections were outstanding. His flexibility and suggestions on the best time of day to visit places so that we had the best views was very well managed. (We had a day of rain and it was still wonderful due to his efforts!) We went to the Glass Grand Canyon Bridge and the walk down into the canyon was just as great. We visited Baofeng Lake with the prestine green waters and peacefulness. Then Tianmen Mountain where we rode the world's longest cable car up the mountain into the clouds. We also spent the day in Zhangjiajie National Park visiting Yuanjiajie and the Halleluja Mountains.
We recently spent 3 beautiful days exploring the wonders of Zhangjiajie with our China Highlights guide, Sara. Sara was very personable and knowledgeable having grown up in the area. By the end of our tour, Sara was more than a guide, she had become a friend that we have maintained contact with since the end of the tour. Sara recommended restaurants and places to go each evening. When she discovered it was my wife's birthday she quickly arranged for a cake to be delivered to the restaurant where we were dining that evening. She took us to the most photogenic spots in the park. We had a great time interacting with the domestic tourists visiting the park as well. We found the fear factor of the glass bridge and glass walkway to be underwhelming compared to their hype, but thoroughly enjoyed the incredible scenery. Every aspect of the tour from the pick up at the airport to the final farewell went like clock work.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Zhangjiajie National Park. The scenery is spectacular! We were fortunate to have excellent weather most of our visit (our only rain came while we were in the car, but the fog on top of Tianmen Mountain did obscure any views). Most of the information does not seem to mention the stairs - LOTS of stairs, so beware if you have bad knees. Ann was a superb guide for our visit. She was able to take us to some areas away from the crowds where we could truly soak in the scenery without the noise and pushing of the tourist crowds. We highly recommend Golden Whip Trail. Ann went out of her way to take care of us, even replacing my husband’s forgotten sunscreen and bringing us fruit for a snack. She was also great with staying on top of restaurants regarding a food allergy. Unless it is a stop on the way to someplace, don’t add Fenghuang Ancient Town to the Zhangjiajie tour. It’s is 4-5 hours by car each way, really only about 1/2 day worth to see and very heavy on locals born in the area. It was two days we would have enjoyed more to stay in Zhangjiajie.
We spent a few days in Zhangjaijie with our knowledgable local guide Wendy. She really took care of us - literally! We got sick on day 2 (ha!) and she took us to a herbalist who fixed us almost immediately and we were on our feet climbing the mountains good as new. It was amazing, but I know it would have been a heck of a lot worse had Wendy not taken care of us. She calmly took quick action so we didn't miss a beat and checked up on us throughout the day. Zhangjaijie is mind-blowingly beautiful. Zhangjaijie is a must see for people who appreciate the outdoors and dramatic landscape. The hikes, the glass bridges, the gondolas, the boats - it is a outdoorsy person's dream. We could have easily spent a week or more here, but thankfully we had Wendy to help us choose the right locations to prioritize. We will definitely go back!
I took my family (with teens) to 4 days tour in Zhangjiajie in early April. Although it rained one day, we managed to see most of major sights there. Communication between the company and me beforehand went quick and smoothes with on-line payment. Personal itineraries are sent to me via their website. It was detailed enough but what we did not know was that lunch would be after all the walk, so it could be around 3pm in the afternoon. But, we brought plenty of snack with us (and some food snack stalls available at each site), so it wasn't a major issue. Plus, the food at the end of each walk was delicious every day and we ate enough so that no need to eat dinner! Our guide, Wendy, was very flexible and patient. She explained all backgrounds and history of park very well and she also understood what we expected. She took us to one very quiet scenic spot that not so many people go and that was a treat (it was during holiday in China as well, we had sea of people everywhere)! I learned so much about this park and the whole experience was memorable! Thank you China Highlight and Wendy!!
We had an amazing few days in Zhangjaijei with our guide Wendy. The place is truly magical. Wendy is a local who was a great guide for us, and we really needed her help, as both my wife and I were under the weather and needed to go to a pharmacy (and have Chinese medicine translated for us!), and then our flights out got cancelled, but Wendy took care of getting us booked on a different flight and all was good in the end! Definitely recommended!
This national forest is the highlight of our 18 days days trip to China. The natural beauty of the place is out of this world. Our guide, Ms. Summer was with us throughout the tour. From the moment we arrived, she was always there, taking care of every detail. Her extensive knowledge of the area ad the people who live there along with her high level of professionalism made this this part of the trip the most informative and enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour and if you can request Ms. Summer to be your guide, you will have the best time in China. Jaber and Stella
We had a private tour (through China Highlights), 4+ days with "Victor" as our guide and a photography mentor. The tour was long and arduous for this 82+ year old, and it rained essentially the whole tour. But the scenery was gorgeous, with a lot of mist among the pinnacles. Walkways were a bit slippery from the rain but easily negotiable. Get into good physical shape before you go!

The tour was fantastic and well-organized. We checked into our hotel Thursday night, and booked the trip for Friday. Unfortunately, we didn't have Chinese cell phone numbers, so I was a little procarious as to how we would find out about the pick up details. I assumed it was going to be sent via email, but when we checked into our hotel, we were told that our tour guide called the hotel to relay the information for it. It was a great surprise!

As for the tour itself, it was amazing. Our tour guide, Melody, was personable and friendly. By the end of the trip, she ended up becoming a great friend and contact in Zhangjiajie! Unfortunately, the views from the mountain were limited since it was rainy and foggy, but we were still able to see enough. Overall, though, a fantastic adventure from an even more fantastic guide!

The day in the nature park we loved it, but we enjoyed it to the full thanks to our guide, Elisa. A great professional and a charm as a person! We would definitely repeat with her if we came back and we will not hesitate to recommend her. Thank you Elisa for the special days you put us through!
A perfect tour, it exceeded our expectations, Wendy was very kind and solved our requests! Totally recommended
