We only did Day 1 of this 2 day tour. Our guide, Zoey, made the whole experience seamless as we moved from location to location. She was cheerful and kept us motivated through some pretty crummy weather. She taught us patience as we waited for the clouds and mist to move along, which paid off at each turn. This day is very long - a solid 7 hours in the park and about 8.5 miles of walking. There are lots of stairs, too. Be prepared to put in a physically active day!
We had a local guide who was born and raised in the area and he knew the place so well that made our trip easier and better. We had a great experience!!

Lj was a wonderful guide in Zhangjiajie. He grew up in the mountains and knows everything about the area. We covered so much in the tour and Lj ensured it all ran smoothly and that we got to see everything in the tight schedule, with plenty of time for photos everywhere!

The mountains are absolutely stunning. We didn't have the best weather so there were some visibility issues, but the itinerary is quite good and there's plenty of 'wow' moments. Be prepared for big crowds, especially coming down from Tinamon Mountain. My only suggestion would be to show more flexibility based on the weather. We've completely skipped one viewing platform on top of the elevator which had a great visibility, just to go straight to Avatar mountains which had 0 visibility.
its 2 day experience. Due the heavy fog we could not see much. Day1 with Wendy on ZJJ National Forest. She was very nice but unfortunately her English was average. Yet she showed us extra places as we cannot see the highs due to fogs. Day2 with Laura was better. Her English is much better. She also organized us in a good way (ticket , lunch etc.) and also showed the little tips nad good parts Thank you both

We booked the two day tour, our hotel was wrong for pick up so it took longer to join the group for the tour and the weather was terrible so it was wet and miserable the whole time and we couldnt see anything. If the weather was better it would have been alright but we also ended up cancelling the second day because the weather didnt get any better.
Jiya was the absolute best tour guide. Extremely fun, professional, reliable & made us feel like a local. She showed us all the best view spots & some incredible memories were made today. Our guide Phoenix was experienced and able to speed us through queues and gave a lot of interesting historical information. In very busy tourist attractions having a guide take you through and point out the best places to take pictures helps a lot. The weather was wet and overcast at times, but she tried to be flexible to get the most out of the time available.
Jiya, our guide has been very accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly to all of us. She knows great deal about the mountains and gave us good tour of the place even though it rained. She is a great guide.

The weather was not good but the guides, Zee and Steve, did their best to mange things , luckily we were able to do the 999 steps and that was the highlight, Would recommend the activity as the guides were quite helpful in managing the situation to make the best out of the situation.
A great experience but you have to be lucky with the weather. We had epic views on day 1 but Tianmen mountain was surrounded by fog so we couldn't see the cavern. Still a good day out and Michelle, our guide, was fantastic and made the wholenthing easy and informative.
We were picked up at our hotel by our driver , picked up another guest, and dropped off with the rest of our tour group. We met our enthusiastic tour guide, Laura, before heading out for the Avatar Mountains. She provided brief history and even a little singing snippet before letting us rest for the rest of the car ride. The tour was great, we had an unfortunate amount of fog but Laura was knowledgeable and provided enough freedom to explore on our own. Lots of stairs though so wear good shoes.

Our tour guide Wendy was great! This 2-day tour can be tiring, but Wendy kept everyone positive. She managed it beautifully and she covered all that was promised on the tour. We had plenty of bathroom breaks throughout the day and she helped us find food. Also, we had a good amount of time at each point to take pictures. We did a lot in two days and I couldn’t have done it on my own.

This tour was excellent and Archie, our tour guide, did a fantastic job. The operator accommodated a schedule change due to bad weather without any complications or extra charges. Archie and his driver were always on time and ready for the adventure. We loved touring with Archie as he was knowledgeable about the area and able to move us through the sights with ease. Absolutely amazing experience getting to see some of China’s most unique and beautiful spots. The hotel pickup/drop off in a comfy air conditioned bus with water provided throughout was great. Archie our guide was incredible and really made the experience run seamlessly. He spoke very good English and gave interesting facts about Chinese history and culture throughout. The scenic spots were unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, it was a very easy tour and we would happily recommend to anyone! Our only note for maybe some improvement is to have a few minutes at the end of the forest day to have 5 mins to take a quick look through the gift shop as there were a few things that caught our eye but we had to bypass to get the bus, but other than that 10/10!
Overall, we had a very positive experience. Our goal was to visit both attractions in a single day without having to worry about any of the logistics, and everything went very smoothly. Of course, we would have loved to spend more time exploring each place in greater depth, but there simply isn’t enough time to do everything in one day. We’ll definitely have to come back and visit again at a more relaxed pace. One of the highlights of the tour was our guide, Jackson. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about everyone in the group. He brought rain ponchos in case it rained, provided bottled water, and constantly made sure that everyone was comfortable and enjoying the trip. The only slightly negative aspect, which is something you can expect on any group tour, was having to wait for other people from time to time. However, that’s simply part of traveling in a group.

Zhangjiajie Scenic Spot covers a vast area, and you need at least three days to fully appreciate its unique rock formations. Cloud and rain often block the views. Rain fell halfway through our tour, making some paths inaccessible. Fortunately, tour guide Jianing took great care of us. She introduced natural scenery and local culture patiently, adjusted the pace suitable for seniors and children, and recommended authentic local snacks. She was gentle and professional, the best surprise of this trip.
Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area deserves two full days to explore, featuring breathtaking peaks and sea of clouds. The mountain weather is unpredictable. Thick fog covered many viewing platforms in the morning during our trip. The highlight of our journey was our tour guide Lynn. Young, thoughtful and professional, she explained the mountain’s geological features and local folk customs thoroughly. She arranged a reasonable sightseeing route. I highly recommend booking this tour and requesting Lynn.
1st day: we travelled with Mandy, she was an excellent and highly knowledgeable tour guide. She showed us great views, guided us in a simple & easy to follow way, and helped us with a lost glasses retrieval which was just going above and beyond. 5/5 experience! 2nd day: we went with Archie, who similar to Mandy was extremely knowledgeable and easy to follow. Both tour guides took great pictures and elevated the experience greatly, as well as taking care of any potential hassle with ticket booking!

The experience was amazing ! We literally covered nearly everything ! Both guides where just amazing , laura and bay-lee knew there stuff and their English was great ! Was a wee bit upset that we weren't allowed to add on the zip line at an additional cost ! Seemed a waste while we where there. However Bay-lee made our time on the mountain fun.
