Hotel Daniela

Hotel Daniela is a super place, nice rooms with a balcony and view of the Matterhorn, there is perhaps not more you can ask for. Beds and pillows were good. The chocolate bar was a nice attention, and the Bircher Muesli is to die for, so good. They come and collect you from the station and take you back upon departure. Zermatt centre is within walking distance. We definitely recommend this gem.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment with a fabulous view of the Matterhorn. The apartment was great—2 balconies, one for morning sun and one for afternoon, two lovely bathrooms, a generous sitting room, plus coffee machine. The shuttle to and from the station was great, breakfast was excellent, and all staff were friendly and helpful. We loved it! The hotel was within easy walk of everything Zermatt offers.

What an absolute amazing four night stay in Zermatt. Nina was an absolute star during check-in, helping us with ideas on trails and how to get around the village. The breakfast that is included had so much variety to choose from each day. Very well maintained. The room was a little warm due to no a/c, but we asked for a fan and one was provided. Housekeeping came daily with fresh towels and bed making. Beds were firm but comfortable, plenty of room for two plus luggage. The only negative I can say is the shower. I hate when hotels use the shower design that does not have a door, it is a single glass pane (beautifully etched I must say) but with it wide open water has the capability of getting all over the floor and the steam gets out. There is a shuttle service to and from the train station, a courtyard and free snacks in the lobby to take. The spa area is a beautiful place to relax after a hike. A good sauna, steam room and large jacuzzi. Complimentary drinks and snacks in there as well. Location is perfect! Just far enough from the strip to feel secluded from it but close enough to stumble home after a few drinks. Getting around is super easy and if you need laundry done, Alpine Laundry is just down the street within walking distance. Highly recommend them for laundry, look them up. Overall, I would tell anyone to stay at this hotel when staying in Zermatt, we could not have dreamed of a better stay (except a shower door would have been nice, hahaha).

Hotel Daniela was one of the highlights of my stay in Zermatt. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and enjoyable. One of the most convenient services was the complimentary shuttle. The hotel picked us up from Zermatt train station when we arrived and also drove us back to the station when we checked out. It made traveling with our luggage completely stress-free. The room was exceptionally clean, cozy, and well maintained. I also loved having a coffee machine in the room—it was wonderful to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee before starting the day. The bathroom amenities were of great quality and smelled lovely, which made the stay feel even more comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices including fresh bread, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, cereals, eggs, and hot drinks. There was something for everyone, and everything tasted fresh. The location is another big plus. The hotel is just a short walk from Zermatt’s main street, making it easy to reach restaurants, shops, and attractions while still enjoying a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Daniela. The combination of excellent service, spotless rooms, thoughtful amenities, delicious breakfast, and the convenient shuttle service made this hotel an easy choice. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zermatt.
