Hotel Chesa Valese

This was the eighth hotel on our trip, and by far the best. The rooms were spotless, and the bathroom amenities were of a very high standard—my wife, in particular, loved their body lotion so much that she ended up buying a few bottles. We place great importance on breakfast, and the daily spread here was incredibly generous, offering a wide variety of options. Most importantly, the entire staff—from the reception team and restaurant staff to the housekeeping crew and shuttle drivers—were exceptionally kind and always wore a smile. After leaving, we traveled to Northern Italy, where we stayed at a hotel that cost more than twice as much as Chesa Valese; yet, in every aspect other than breakfast (which we haven’t even tried yet), it fell short of the experience at Chesa Valese. While we may not return to Zermatt ourselves, we will certainly recommend this hotel to any friends planning a visit. My wife even said that if it were possible, she would give them ten stars! Our heartfelt thanks to every single member of the staff.

We spent an unforgettable week at Chesa Valese! The hotel boasts a perfect location, with wonderful rooms and excellent amenities. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff—incredibly helpful, attentive, and supportive at every turn. Their attention to detail is remarkable: it feels as though they anticipate your every need, yet always with incredible subtlety and full respect for your privacy. From being warmly greeted right at the train station, they took care of every single detail to ensure a flawless stay. Highly recommended to anyone looking for genuine Swiss hospitality in Zermatt!

We recently spent a few nights at Hotel Chesa Velese and very much enjoyed our stay at this charming chalet in Zermatt. Reservation was made through booking.com. Communication with the chalet was convenient and fast. Pre-arrival registration and payment were handled easily. There was a shuttle waiting for us upon arrival at the rail for transportation onward to the chalet. They also offer free transport back to the rail station at the end of your stay. The hotel has a lovely lounge area near the check-in counter. There is an outdoor area as well. Our stay came with daily continental breakfast which was very good, included meats, cheeses, yoghurt, muesli, breads and nice selection of cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, mushrooms, beans and veggies. Coffee and juices included as well. The chalet location is just off the main town centre, around 3 minute walk to the scenic church bridge and 6-7 minutes walk to the main sightseeing and shopping area in Old Town. As for our room, we were quite happy with the space, bed was comfy, balcony with seating chairs and table was nice. Bathroom spacious as well. All electrical outlets worked fine. Room breathed well with windows opened during midday, preventing it from becoming hot. Wifi worked well, noise level is quite. On the whole, very relaxing chalet and nice place to base for a few days while exploring the mountains around Zermatt. Would be happy to stay there again.

Clean rooms. Cosy hotel and room. Nice breakfast with many choices and tasty. The people are nice. Very quiet for sleeping. You can let your baggage before check-in and they keep them a few hours after check-out too. It added cosines and happiness to our stay to Zermatt.
