We had a fantastic afternoon with Marta. She told us so much about Zaragoza and Spain in general. The tapas and wine were all wonderful and she was able to cater to all of our preferences! All eight of us would highly recommended this tour!
This food tour provided an understanding of the history of Zaragoza and how food and culture developed over the centuries. Our guide, Marta, was fun, knowledgeable, flexible and an aficionado of tapas and their place in the social life of this beautiful city. My wife and I agree that this is the best food tour we have ever taken. It is also great to take it when you arrive here so you will know where you want to venture on your own and also where you can return during your time here. Enjoy! We did.
Our guide was really friendly and obviously loved the city of Zaragoza. We loved this tour as we got to see tapas bars and cafes that we would otherwise would just of walked past.
Highly recommend this tour. It is a great way to experience some of the delicious tapas and wines available and learn about the interesting history attached to each place we visited in this beautiful city. Jorge was very engaging and a wealth of information.
It was a great tour. Marta was a fun, informative host. She introduced us to the public market and 4 very good tapas bars. We plan to revisit as much as possible.
The tour was great. We learned a lot and were able to see the busy tubo area with a local which helped us get comfortable going back that night. The tapas was great and plenty to eat and drink. Overall an exceptional experience.
We had a memorable day in Zaragoza with Jorge and Pedro as out guides. They provided not only a great tapas tour, but also explained the history of the city and region. There are so many restaurants in Zaragoza and this experienced helped us find the hidden gems. Highly recommend!
I had an excellent food tour through Zaragoza with my guide Marta from Rustica 41. First off it ended up being a private tour and kudos to Rustica 41 for still running it when many other providers would just cancel. I was able to see a more personal side of the city, its food and some history too! Marta was patient with all of my question and made the experience really fun. The spots they picked had some really delicious tapas (some I revisited the next day!) and even some unexpected flavor combos (I won’t give it away 😂). Thanks so much!!
Our guide is a long time resident that knows the unique tapas bars and their specialties- both on and off menu food and drink. One member in our group was a vegetarian. Our guide offered vegetarian options that were well recieved. Our guide started the tour by conversing in clear English and took the time to understand each guest's background and likely preferences.
My mother and I had a great tour with Jorge!! He was personable and knowledgeable about Spain's history. Answered all our questions. We enjoyed visiting the market and learning a bit about the history of the building. The tapas and wine were delicious! We separated satisfied with full bellies!! Thank you Jorge!!
Delicious tastes at all stops in our tour, with great information on the local wine and dishes. We highly recommend booking a tour with Jorge. He is knowledgeable and warm, with a great sense of humor. Some unforgettable tastes that we will be remembering for a long time. Thank you, Jorge!
Great guide, great tapas and great wine! Be ready to eat, and don't plan on doing too much later in the day whilst you plan to go back for more tasty food!
Jorge was a great guide. Told us about the history of Zaragoza and showed us to places we would not have discovered by ourselves. Had a fantastic evening definitely recommend this tour
We had an excellent five hour tour with four stops at tapas bars plus and extra stop for ice cream for our small kids. Javier was an amazing guide, adding history and cultural lectures into our tapas and wine tour. The food was great and so were the wines. Javier’s knowledge of wine was an extra treat and really added to the tasting of the local wines of Aragon. We could not have been happier with the tour. Javier is not to be missed as a guide!
Javier was an excellent guide for our tapas and wine tour of Zaragoza. He gave us a great presentation of history and culture as well. He also happily adjusted the program for our small children, adding an ice cream stop and picking tapas they would eat. He also extended the tour for two additional hours and two more stops at tapas bars. The food and wines were great and Javier’s wine knowledge was one of the best parts of the tour.
Amazing wine and tapas tour! Javier was the most excellent tour guide. He really brought the city of Zaragoza to life, and the tour has been the highlight of our holiday in Spain so far. Javier was a mine of information on historical matters, but he is also taking the WSET 4 exam, so his knowledge of wine was incredible. I would highly recommend this trip, which was worth every penny.
Wonderful Experience From Start To Finish Our Guide Was Such A Nice Young Man From This Town . We Were So Impressed With This City He Was Knowledgeable Of All The Sites We Wish Him And His New Family All The Best ! My Wife And I Highly Recommend This Tour Great Time !
Excellent hospitality and service from our guide Jorge, he was passionate about sharing his city with us and we are very thankful! Our group consisted of two different families and Jorge did an excellent job blending us into one. Father and adult son from Germany and our family of four (2 adults, kids 8 & 11) from the US. My husband and I loved the food, wine, and information about the city. Jorge was also open and shared a bit about his life in Zaragoza, which we love!! Only down side, and it’s not the tour groups fault, just something to consider for yourselves, my children were not as enthused as me and my husband. Lol!! They hung in there though! And Jorge certainly did his best to include them by selecting tapas that matched their palate, and engaging with them equally. This was fine for us as we want our children to experience different things even if it’s not thrilling. I would definitely recommend checking out the full lineup from Gastro Rutica 41 and seeing what works best for you. Overall we had an excellent experience! Gracias Jorge
Jorge has an excellent way of making each tour a unique experience. He has personal relationships with many establishments throughout Zaragoza, so guests feel special at each stop. My wife and I came away with full stomachs and a fuller understanding of this beautiful city. Thanks, Jorge, for both the historilc and gastronomic experience!
Jorge was excellent! Very polite, knowledgeable and kind. We had a great experience and learned not only about Spanish food but interesting historic facts.
I enjoyed this tour with Jorge very much indeed. He is very generous with his time and very knowledgeable about food and history and many other topics related to Zaragoza. It was really interesting to talk to him about a wide variety of subjects. He also ensured that the tour was personalised to meet my dietary requirements, as I am both gluten-free and low FODMAP (i.e. no onion!). After looking around the beautiful central Zaragoza market we stopped for some excellent coffee and divine cheesecake at a café where I've already been back twice for more. We also visited the enormous cathedral, and for lunch we went to two different places for tapas - the oldest restaurant in Zaragoza and another place that specialises in gluten-free tapas. I felt very well taken care of and highly recommend the tour to others.
Tapas, vino, history and local knowledge in one great experience. Jorge is a local business owner who also provides tapas tours. Not just any tapas tour but a tour that encompasses the history of Zaragoza but a local’s knowledge of the tapas scene. It was one of the best tapas tours of our journey thru Spain this month. His recommendations on tapas and wines were exceptional!! His combination of intelligence and affability is unusual. Jorge provided my wife and I with an afternoon that will be long remembered.
The experience was simply unique and extraordinary! Marta gives you a little history about the city, the region and Spain more generally which is very interesting. Then we go to discover different tapas with simplicity and authenticity. They are all nuggets!!! We had the feeling of being privileged alongside Marta who is extremely kind and offered us a fabulous and unforgettable moment! Thank you , thank you and thank you ❤️
Jorge was a very good, friendly, cheerful and wise guide to his city. He told us the stories of Zaragoza proudly. We went to the market. We enjoyed rich wines and beers and tapas and even dessert. Definitely when we return to Zaragoza again we look for him. Jorge thank you very much for your kindness and wisdom of your people we wish you many things Goodbye, Alina and David
