Hotel is tired and staff seem disinterested. In the room the curtains didn’t close fully, there was a hole in the pillow, the toilet cistern dripped all night and the aircon wasn’t really cold. Disappointing!

Location is fabulous. Easy walking distance through the old town. Room was clean. Reception staff were excellent. Parking is under the hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant that night. The food was really good. The waiter was not. He was downright rude. Made no attempt to understand what we or other non-spanish-speaking people were saying. Asked if we wanted wine - I said yes. He said 'white'. I said 'no red' - he actually pretended to not know what I was saying. Gave hubby a filthy look when he asked for a beer. Made us perform like seals to get what we wanted. Didn't help at all with the fully Spanish menu. I was pissed off. The only thing that saved it was the food was very good. Next morning for breakfast, the male matre'd was just as off hand. I suggest the boys take some lessons from the ladies at this hotel on how to give service to international guests. We always try hard to communicate - we do not appreciate being ridiculed for it.
A pleasant, well positioned city hotel, clean and with parking (which was difficult to find and expensive). Helpful polite staff at reception. Bedroom large enough, but TV was too small and no programmes available in English. Bed mattress hard and uncomfortable. Pillows poor quality. Shower is rain type and okay if you like that kind of thing. No coffee making facilities in the room.
There is absolutely nothing 4 stars about this hotel with the exception of a beautiful lobby. Pros The rooms are clean and it is located close to the old town and the residential part of Zaragoza. The rooms are functional and appear to have been renovated. Lightning is good and our room had a terrace allowing natural ventilation when the doors are open Cons: located on a main thoroughfare, paper thin walls. I am hard of hearing and clearly heard everything in the adjoining room and some of it was very private. Front desk service at check in was terribly impersonal. No luggage service. We had to wrestle a luggage cart and fit it into a tiny elevator, haul or luggage, and take the cart back down This would be typical in a 3 star hotel but certainly not what you expect in a 4 star hotel The hand held shower head (only shower) is undersized for the water pressure, it flew off the bracket, sprayed water all over the bathroom! luckily it bounced off the wall without hitting us. We finally figured out that we could not open the faucet all the way unless we wanted to hold the shower in our hands. Getting into the shower is challenging because the toilet is positioned too close and leaves no space to climb in. We made the best of it but spend your money elsewhere This is the equivalent of a Holiday Inn
Stayed 3 nights for a work trip and loved the hotel (though we didn't spend much time there). The room was very nice and well equipped, lovely breakfast and only a minute's walk away from all of the sights in Zaragoza. The city of Zaragoza is wonderful as well!
