Lovely hotel, just on the edge of the main city centre shopping area and a 10-15 minute stroll to the old town.
This is not a 5* hotel at all. Room service works on paper until 11 pm, but we called at 10:50 and they said “room service guys already left”. Stop misleading people with 5* thing
Please avoid if you’re expecting a true 5-star experience. Unfortunately, this hotel fell well below the standard expected of a 5-star property. We arrived at around 1:30 pm to check in and were told our room was not ready. While we understand that early check-in cannot always be guaranteed, the reception team also refused to complete the check-in paperwork because they were busy with departures. The only positive was that they stored our luggage so we could explore Zaragoza. When we returned approximately five hours later, we finally checked in and went to our room, only to find it had been prepared for one guest, despite the booking being for two people. There was only one bottle of water, one pair of slippers, and one bathrobe. We had even informed the hotel that we were celebrating our honeymoon, yet it felt as though only one of us was expected to stay. More concerning was the housekeeping. The shower gel dispensers and coffee supplies had clearly not been replenished after the previous guests. Given that the hotel displays notices stating it accepts no responsibility for theft, it is surprising that basic hygiene and safety checks appear to have been overlooked. Seeing partially used toiletries left in the room does not inspire confidence that they have been properly replaced or checked between guests. Breakfast was another disappointment. The buffet area was full of flies around the food, which was unhygienic and very unappetising. We chose to order from the à la carte menu instead, which was acceptable, but this should not have been necessary in a hotel of this category. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and certainly not what we expected from a hotel advertising itself as 5-star. There are much better options in Zaragoza.
great location, lots of pomp and ceremony, a real treat. a beautiful building and a location to match, the room is a little dated but i like it, the wifi is terrible though (room 416) this is disappointing for me from a business point of view however i still scored a full 5 stars and this was because “Duk” at the in-house bar was such a pleasure, a kind and chatty bar tender, with many languages. she left a very good impression on me.. well done everyone. keep pushing to be the best.
