Swimming With Dolphins In Mnemba

A wonderful morning! They picked us up on the hotel beach, and after picking up a few other people, we immediately headed to the dolphins. There were 15-20 of them swimming just a few meters from us, a unique experience. Afterwards, we reached Mnemba, snorkeled, and stopped on a sandy shore to eat some fruit. On the way back, we snorkeled again to see the starfish. Then we returned to the hotel, where we had started.

Abu is a very friendly guide with perfect english skills. He and the captain of the boat showed respect to the dolphins and did not chase them so aggressively like on many other boats. Snorkeling was much fun we encountered so many different fishes and other sea life. The fruit platter was also excellent so all in all we had an great day!

I wanted this experience since when i was little and Zanzibar gave me that to me. Thank you very much for the special gifted for my birthday. I enjoyed and completely satisfied with it. Asante sana

My Wife and I booked this tour, and it was wonderful! Our guide Abu was amazing guide for his professionalism and the whole trip in general, we had lovely chance to see lots of dolphins and swim with them together. We also went to snorkeling area and sandbank. The itinerary was flexible, giving us plenty of time to enjoy each location. His car was clean & beautiful. He drove us carefully. Thank you very much Abu & I highly recommended!!!

We were really looking forward to this trip, however we were extremely disappointed. This is a mass tourist event where 20-30 boats chase dolphins, circling them and separating them. We had the impression that this looked kind of like dolphin hunting even. People jump randomly in the water however for obvious reasons the dolphins try to escape quickly and you have to quickly get back into your boat (and need to be careful to not be hit by another boat while swimming during this mass chaos). Highly questionable animal ethics and welfare and to be honest this should be forbidden. The „snorkelling spots“ which are marketed as zanzibars best were also disappointing. Not many fish at all, totally crowded with tourist and the guides feed bread to the fish to attract them. This is evidently dangerous and harmful for the fish. In summary we cannot recommend this trip at all and anybody who gives a damn about marine wildlife should avoid it. (Also since sept 25 additional 10 dollar/person are requested by the government to even further rip if tourists—> supposed to go to marine wildlife but if they would care, they would forbid the whole trip)

It was good for me to see dolphin on island, Zanzibar gave everything I wanted in life. Thank you for everything you guys made this experience. Definitely I am going to hit your company again

If the words “Hakuna Matata” was a person it would be Mr Abu. As solo traveler that’s how my trip felt from beginning to end “no worry”. I can not recommend him enough. He is very quick on his feet, midway during my trip being able to add tours and move around to existing ones. Even with these adjustments my trip Abu is a very friendly and funny guy. I had an amazing time with him during my visit to mnemba . So if you are in Zanzibar book a trip with Abu and you will enjoy every moment.

It was amazing moment with Abu our guide, he is the best tour guide. He showed us everything and he went far to help us to do snorkeling which we decided to choose him as our tour guide for other activities in Zanzibar. Don't hesitate spending time with dude, you will never regret.

I enjoyed my trip, I saw many dolphins my guide gave me free time to experience snorkeling and he even participate swimming with me together. I also enjoyed lunch but I didn't like fish because I am allergies

We went to mnemba island with our guide, we took the boat and started to find dolphins for hours till we saw, it was couple of family dolphins and a lot of boat chase and swim with them. We also had time for snorkeling which was our best part we enjoyed a lot. We also had seafood lunch with amazing view on the beach. Thank you very much

Good start, good experience I booked in Island, I left hotel early morning and I missed my breakfast at my hotel. My guide, driver and boat man were well organized. I saw few dolphins on my day but I was huge satisfied with that and service in general. It's worth it and highly recommend

My husband and I choosed this trip just to see how dolphin are in Zanzibar. We had amazing time, our guide helped us to swim with dolphin and snorkeling. Overall we enjoyed our trip especially at lunch time Thank you very much

What a moment in Zanzibar island, we did different amazing trips while we were in Zanzibar but this was our favorite spot ever on island. We saw many dolphins and tried to swim with them as well, we enjoyed fruits and lunch as well. I recommend this tour to everyone.

I had this tour a month ago, my experience was unexplainable. i met my guide at Menemba and i was all alone on that day. Frankly speaking the tour was good, i saw lots of dolphins, took lots of memories pictures, tested different fruits and finally did snorkeling. i did not want lunch because i had lunch at hotel. i highly recommend for every one is the best place to visit

This was an epic tour and worth every pennie! We arrived at the Safari Blue meeting point and then took a boat to a snorkelling spot. After we took the boat to a strip of sand, which you can walk on in low tide. Then, back on the boat to a surreal and tranquil lagoon for more swimming. Then from there, we took the boat to the island where you can visit a special boabab tree, larger than life, have a buffet seafood lunch (included in price) and could walk around and shop! We then took the boat back to the meeting point. We were offered a variety of drinks and fruit throughout the boat rides with a sing song to finish the tour, which lasted around 7 hours altogether. I had a fantastic time, and the tour guide was very nice, engaging, energetic, informative, and helpful. I recommend to all and I would definitely do this tour again!

Zanzibar my dream island and being in it was dream came true, I can't thank enought for meeting Abu in Zanzibar because he made us proud over everything. My trip was perfect filled with joy and full amazing memories. Thank you very much Lunch was absolutely perfect at Kwale island ( Sea food lunch and vegetarian ) more importantly Abu made it easier in the crowd Snorkeling,turquoise water, crystal water was insane to me and even got chance to see dolphins Highly recommend this service for everyone

Amazing safari blue trip! Visiting the sandbanks and the lagoon was phenomenal and snorkelling with the fishes was fantastic! Abu my guide, was very helpful and informative and was happy to participate in the activities as well (it’s quite refreshing when a guide participates in the activities also!) would definitely recommend this tour and the operator also, can clearly tell he loves his job! Enthusiasm is infectious!

What a lovely experience with this amazing trip, staff are well organized, friendly and caring all the times.. 100% you will feel safe and proud for it, my wife and I had to experience lovely sea food at kwale island. The excursion was excellently organized and carried out. The guides were very nice and addressed our wishes. Since we had concerns that very many people wanted to see the dolphins, we set off on the tour very early on the advice of the organizer (departed by boat at approx. 6:30 a.m.). This turned out to be a good idea and is only to be recommended.

We have been on two tours. During the first tour we visited Stone Town, Prison Island and a spice farm. This was a very nice and well-filled day. We had booked a private tour, which we definitely recommend if you want to discover everything at your own pace. In addition, we also swam with dolphins. During this tour we first went swimming with the dolphins, then we snorkeled and as a finish we went to a beautiful beach. We did this tour with a group. It was really a super special experience to see the dolphins in the wild and to be able to get so close. The snorkeling was also great: the colorful fish and the beautiful marine life were really a wow experience. Then we went to a quiet beach, where we ate delicious fresh fruit and enjoyed the beautiful view. We have booked all excursions directly through Abu at our holiday park. He is highly recommended! He takes all the time for you, thinks along with you and is honest about what he can arrange for you.

Beautiful experience, everything perfect, we spotted dolphins right away, saw many starfish, ate delicious fruit on a dream beach. I recommend this experience to everyone.

We had a very nice half day experience. Seen a lot of dolphins and swam right next to them. Nice experience. Also seen several fish while snorkeling. Good guidance from Abu and the captain. Also fruit and drink included. Highly recommended.
