Discover the heart of Zanzibar on the Mama Zanzibar & Creative Handcrafts tour, an inspiring journey into rural village life and women-led community initiatives. This immersive experience offers meaningful interaction with local women aged 40 to 80 who have created sustainable projects to support their families. Visit village workshops producing handcrafted items such as baskets, carpets, belts, and seaweed soaps, while learning the stories and techniques behind each creation. The tour includes scenic travel through Zanzibar’s countryside, personal engagement with artisans, and the opportunity to support these projects directly through purchases. A traditional home-cooked Zanzibar lunch completes the experience, offering an authentic taste of local culture, hospitality, and community spirit. (Transfers are included from Stone Town and West Coast hotels. A supplement will apply for other areas.)
