Was a pleasure taking this tour. Was easy and hassle free. It was a quick and easy trip by boat to Prison Island and back and then a light walking pace tour around stone town and picked up a souvenir along the way. Information given by our tour guide was good but there is room for improvement there.

Wow!! What a company Chidi, Omy & Munta were all so welcoming I felt like I was immediately apart of the Kamal destinations family. From start to finish (airport pick up to airport drop off and everything else inbetween) I was very well looked after. This can be daunting being a solo female traveller in Africa. Anytime I needed omy chidi or munta, even if the were on other tours or busy I could whataspp them and get a response straight away which is so reassuring. I did prison island, nakupena beach, stone town and Mnemba island with the company. Every single trip was fantastic, I was explained throughout the history of each place, why each place is called what it is.. how long it’s been there etc. nothing was rushed and I really enjoyed myself. The food included for Mnemba island was amazing! I was full for the whole day The people were so lovely, even when sharing a boat with others we all got along so well! I was shown my munta and chidi local restaurants in stone town.. without them I wouldn’t have had a clue! They had the nicest food. Munta even brought my breakfast one day and chidi brought my dinner which was so lovely and unexpected. Also omy brought my dinner on the first evening (a zanzibar mix at the night market is a must!! ) and they were all so selfless they never expected anything back <3. People are really what make a place feel like a home! So welcoming, so friendly, so kind, so caring and most of all SO FUNNY. I laughed non stop & I most definitely will be back to zanzibar in no time 🥺☺️

Very pleased with the services. We had two trips with them, first we had the Stone Town Tour, and the next day we went to Prison Island and Nakupenda sand bank. We also had a sea food barbeque and fruits. These were waaaay beyond our expectations. Sorry I did not take any pictures, but believe me it was huge and great quality (lobsters, prowns, octapus, squid, and fish - I think it was tuna). Our tour guide was great (Hassan). His English level was very good. He explained what we needed to know and answered all of our questions. He even helped us understand the local vs tourist prices, so this was a huge help because we were able to negotiate some great deals at the market and local shops. One of the evenings they also arranged for some local ladies to come at our hotel and braid my wife's hair and it was an awesome result. At the end of our stay in Stone Town, they hepled us to also rent a car for the rest of our trip. So basically, this is like an all inclusive agency. Anything you want, you just ask them and I am sure they can help. Also, they were super fast answering on whatsapp, and always kind and helpfull.

This was by far the most amazing trip ever and I can’t express how happy I was. Can’t wait to go back.

The tour was nice stone town for historian , we enjoyed narrative story from our guide who is very smart, patient, knowledgeble🙏 , prison island is nice to visit huge giant tortoise and nice beach to swim. Thanks omy for our holiday in Zanzibar , I highly recommend.

We booked a 5 day program with Kamal Destination Tours for Zanzibar. They took the time to tailor a program for StoneTown and Nungwi that allowed us to optimize our time, while including time to relax at the hotel. Our guide Munta was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the country, every attraction and location we visited. We could not have been more impressed with his ability to explain the finer details of each spot. He made sure our young boys had a blast all the while covering historic sites that they may have otherwise found to be less than ideal. We had some last minute changes and requests for our program and the company accommodated them without hesitation. This was truly an incredible vacation and we couldn’t have asked for a better company to arrange our visit. We highly recommend Kamal Destination Tours and Munta. We are already planning our next visit to Zanzibar and we look forward with using them again.

Absolutely wonderful time with Omar. Picked me up from my hotel and then we went to Prison Island, learned lots about the history and fed tortoises. Then Omar got to witness me *attempt* snorkeling which was a BLAST with great support. Be sure to bring your own wetsuit but he will provide flippers and snorkel mask. Then we stopped by my hotel for a change of clothes and then embarked to tour stone town. He knows the roads very well! And learned a lot about the history. Thank you Omar for a wonderful time!

We had a great experience with Omar and his team. We saw many nice places and really enjoyed our tour with Munta. He was very patient and shared a lot of history about stone town, Zanzibar and Tanzania with us. We went fishing, caught a few small ones and we had fun eating them. Zanzibar is a place to visit and when you get to stone town, ask for Omar or Munta, they will make your stay a memorable one.

It was a tremendous experience! Omer and his team were my guides throughout my time in Zanzibar, I traveled alone, but was never left or felt Alone. They made every moment of my trip memorable! I learnt a lot about Zanzibar and Tanzania in a very entertaining way, I memorized couple of sawahili words, and I felt like I was among my family. When I come again, Omer will of course be my journey friend and I highly recommend acquiring their services!

The only word I have is AMAZING! We couldn’t of asked for a better tour guide. From start to finish Munta was so helpful, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. My husband and I went on the stone island/prison island tour which is was so interesting and Munta took us to a delicious local restaurant. He also arranged the Zanzibar buggy tour which was an incredible day. As well as my husband enjoying the driving side we also stopped off at a local village, remote beaches and learnt so much about the island. We really wanted to see and do as much as possible and Munta helped us achieve this by planning out our days making sure we maximised our time. As we were staying in the North he arranged one day to swim with the wild dolphins, visit Maalum cave, which was an unreal experience and we finished with a lovely late lunch at the famous Rock restaurant. Combining all three excursions meant it was alot more cost effective and we got see the other side of the island. Munta arranged all of our taxis and it didn’t matter how near or far the trips were they were sorted. We also wanted to and experience some of the local clubs/ bars which Munta suggested really good places including the best local fresh seafood restaurants, Baraka. Munta was always on hand and contactable via whats app which was good if we need to ask him anything. We honestly couldn’t recommend Munta enough, he made our time in Zanzibar so memorable. We booked Omy’s services for 5 days travelling round Zanzibar. Amazing service, always on time driving us to and from airport and all round the island. Within this we did some amazing excursions- safari blue was amazing and the lunch we had was insane! Omy is so knowledgable and enthusiastic could not recommend highly enough!

This was the best decision I think I’ve made in my life. Visiting Zanzibar was truly a rewarding and a refreshing experience especially after the covid pandemic. Not to mention I’m glad it happened with the BEST TOUR GUIDE IN ZANZIBAR OMMY. Ommy was literally the reason why this tripped was magical. He’s very friendly, always on time, amazing knowledge and stories to share about the city, and very flexible. I would ask to do things outside the tour program and he never said no, and it was my first time to travel solo in Africa but he made sure to be around all the time. Nungwi beach Horse ridding and Sunset Cruise. 5. kiwengwa Caves and Jozani forest I honestly recommend staying in Zanzibar a minimum of 7 days the place has a lot to offer, and the nature is one of a kind. Budget wise I had my ticket and hotel booked from Dubai, I stayed in Kiwengwa Beach hotel and resort the whole stay it was beautiful, and I spent a total of 1,500 dollars for 7 days. You can pay using dollars almost everywhere. Until next time Zanzibar, definitely I’m visiting this gem again!

We had such an amazing time in Zanzibar with our main tour guide Munta. The whole team was impressive, very punctual, professional and easy going lads they made the whole experience one to remember. Munta was very skilled with his knowledge of the island and its history, definitely ahead of his time, this guy will achieve great things. My family and I made some great memories on this trip and my daughter Cece loved Munta, he really looked out for her. The tours are very well organised, plus it was just a pleasure to be around these gentlemen and understand more about their culture. Omi is one of the greatest tours that I have ever met. He is extremely attentive , flexible and ensures that his customers have a good time. My friend and I were in Zanzibar for 7 days and did almost all the activities within this short time frame( Prison island , stone town tour, nakupenda beach, safari blue , spice tour, jozani forest, kilosas zoo, mnemba atoll) and I do not think this would have been possible without his agility and connections. Both tours in Stone Town were great but more than that I really recommend contacting Omy from the minute you arrive in Zanzibar as he will help you with EVERYTHING you need. Easiest way to navigate an unfamiliar environment, without the hassle of negotiating for rates or worrying about the experience: Omy will do his best to help you with anything you need and will charge a fair price for activities. Case in point: upon arriving in Zanzibar we had a small accident with our car and he went out of his way to help us fix it at a local body shop, where they charged us reasonably. On top of this, without even knowing us he provided assistance with sorting out our COVID tests, shared all the necessary information and even walked us through the process. Great guide and even greater person, couldn't recommend him more.

I loved this tour. We had two brothers guide us. The older brother took us through Stone town and the younger brother walked us around Prison Island. Both are very informative about the sites and history, and are genuinely happy and enthusiastic to be showing you around. I loved feeding the tortoises. Highly recommended.

Stone town is small with a lot of history , narrow street,many local shops with a lot of vendors,we visit former slave market site,the old fort ,sultan palace. it was amazing history for historians.our Tourguide OMY he is very excellent. Visit zanzibar stone town was very nice with my husband Omar give us A lot of informations about zanzibar especially east Africa slave market. And also we take boat to visit prison island to see the old giant tortoise and prison ,very nice beach at prison island.we recommend OMAR TO BE YOUR guide while you are in Zanzibar.

In my online research I saw tons of different ways to book, when we got to the water upon arrival we saw hundreds of boats for even more options! What it comes down to is getting a fair price and having a guide that is knowledgeable, safe and fun! I lucked up and had that when my local Host paired me with this tour group. Munta made the day memorable and dropped tons of knowledge on us! On top of that, he is hilarious with a love for what he does. My wife and I had a great honeymoon and this was a highlight! We visited zanzibar back in November and was it worth it!? Oh yes! Omar and his brother Munta did everything with us over our 10 day holiday! From going to prison island to hang about with the turtles, swimming with dolphins, to walking round a spice farm where the smell is so intense youd never want to leave! Munta was basically with us the whole time, any time we needed a transfer to any one part of the island he would be there! We actually still keep in touch with munta, hes geuinely a great guy as his brother is. Would highly recommend going on any tour witbthese guys!! They are great fun!
