The experience begins at 9:30 AM with a relaxing 1.5–2 hour dhow cruise from Nungwi/Kendwa towards Mnemba Island. Enjoy snacks, soft drinks and ocean views along the way, with possible dolphin spotting depending on sea conditions. At Mnemba Island, spend approximately 4 hours snorkeling, swimming and relaxing in the crystal-clear turquoise waters. Depending on the tides, we visit a beautiful sandbank or Blue Lagoon, and enjoy a freshly prepared seafood BBQ lunch on board. Around 4:00 PM, we raise the sails and begin the peaceful 1.5–2 hour journey back towards Nungwi/Kendwa. As we approach the coast, we stop to enjoy the sunset from the boat with fresh tropical fruit before the experience ends.

We had such a wonderful day with Maria Ocean Breeze! Everything was perfect from start to finish. We went snorkeling near Mnemba Island, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and relaxed on the beach before swimming with dolphins. What we really appreciated was that the dolphins were treated with respect and not chased, which made the experience even more special. There were only two other boats around, so it felt calm and natural. We ended the day with fresh fruit and a beautiful sunset. 🌅🐬 The whole trip was amazing, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Everything was perfectly organized, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hospitality was excellent, and we felt well taken care of throughout both trips. The sunset cruise was beautiful, with stunning views and delicious snacks served on board. The trip to Mnemba Island was equally unforgettable, with crystal-clear turquoise water, incredible snorkeling, and a delicious lunch and tasty snacks provided throughout the day. WOW WOW WOW WOW where do i even start? we booked a whole day private boat experience including snorkling, swimming with dolphins, lunch on the boat, sunset, snacks and pick up/drop off! from beginning to end this day was THE BEST experience of my life!! Communication right from booking to drop off back to the hotel was seamless, every single need we had was fulfilled and we did not have to worry about a single thing! We booked this for my mums 60th birthday and honestly i couldn’t have wished for the day to go any better! The people on the boat, stanley, mohammed and captain were some of the most kind, warm and beautiful people i have ever met and they honestly made this experience 1000000 times better than i ever imagined! i definitely do not think we would have enjoyed it as much without them! They were so attentive and looked after us when we went swimming/snorkling and made sure we were safe at all times! All team members made sure we were looked after and happy at all parts of the trip, they cooked us a fresh and delicious meal along with fresh fruit (some of the best i have ever had). We left this experience feeling like family and i can’t thank them enough for this beautiful day! I would recommend them in every life time!!!!!! so much love x

We did two tours with the same guides, the sunset cruise and the Mnemba half-day snorkelling tour and both were absolutely amazing! The sunset cruise was such a beautiful experience. The crew made us the most delicious fresh seafood dinner on board, and we got to watch the sun drop right into the ocean while we ate. It was honestly such a special evening and one of our favourite experiences in Zanzibar. Our Mnemba snorkelling tour was just as incredible! Stanley was amazing from start to finish. He took us out to see dolphins and then snorkelling, where he came into the water with us and pointed out all the different things to look for and made sure we didn’t miss anything. He was so friendly, attentive and genuinely made the whole experience so much fun. They also prepared the freshest fruit I think I’ve ever tasted, along with plenty of snacks and refreshments throughout the trip. Everything felt really well organised, relaxed and personal, and the whole crew went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We loved both tours so much and would 100% recommend them to anyone visiting Zanzibar. A huge thank you to Stanley and the whole crew for making these experiences so memorable! 🤍🌴🐬

I thought the boat trip was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! They picked us up close to our accommodation, which was very convenient. The staff on the boat were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire trip, which made the experience even better. Early on, we had the opportunity to jump into the water and see dolphins. We then stopped at the bluest water I have ever seen, where we had plenty of time to enjoy a delicious lunch and go swimming. Our guide even joined us in the water for some snorkeling, which made the experience even more special. After that, we slowly made our way back along the island, taking our time and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We got to enjoy some delicious fresh fruit while watching the sunset before being dropped off at the same place where we started. I would definitely recommend going on this boat trip. It was the most amazing day of our entire trip!

We had a fabulous fun filled day on the water with Maria II! The weather was ominous, the group keen to have this experience so we set out full of expectation and excitement. This traditional dhow didn’t disappoint as we headed into more rain. Despite the squalls of rain it didn’t dampen our spirits. .The snorkeling in the crystal-clear turquoise waters was spectacular, and the food was incredible. The Maria II is beautiful, accommodated our group of 14, and appeared very well-maintained. We were treated to a delicious spread of fresh lobster, tuna, octopus, curried chicken, mango salsa plus more followed by amazing fresh fruit platters of pineapple, passion fruit, banana, papaya, watermelon. Must not forget the nibbles of cashew nuts and chips on the way (a huge shout out to the young guy who did most of the preparation, cooking and cleaning up). Despite swimming in the rain the snorkelling was tops. Assistance on and off the boat was always available. The entire crew went above and beyond to make the day special. A huge thank you to Stanley and his amazing crew for being such fantastic hosts—they created a wonderful and helpful atmosphere on our trip on the Maria II. Thank you to the crew for an unforgettable day! Highly recommended!

This was the second time we went with Maria ocean breeze! The whole family is very pleased with the day, from the youngest (2years old) to the oldest (60+) Very helpful, fun and friendly crew. They did their best to make sure to give us the best experience during the whole day. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins and got to experience some good snorkeling! I appreciated that the team were mindful about where the stopped the boat so we weren’t in the biggest crowd on the sandbanks and while snorkeling. Delicious fresh food as always! We will definitely be back for a third and forth time in the future. Asante sana guys!

Dreamy day to Maria to Mnemba Island. We were picked up on the beach by a happy and safe crew. The only things we had with us were swimsuits and sunscreen. It was an unforgettable day for us with such good fresh food, fresh fruit, and snacks. Quite turquoise water with the smoothest sandy bottom. No filters. Snorkeling among colorful fish. Maria cares for marine life. We are already longing to go back and hope to go out again with Maria. I really recommend everyone a day on this nice boat, it suits everyone.
I had an incredibly good day with Maria Ocean Breeze!! The boat is absolutely incredible, so beautiful and spacious. I took a shared ride but there is plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. The crew on board were so nice and caring. I was asked several times if I wanted something to drink and was given pillows when I sat down in the "observation room". The boat is absolutely worth the money because it is a bit more exclusive and such a beautiful wooden boat that gives that little extra. And I think it's good that they don't advocate hunting dolphins like many other boats. The food was also absolutely incredible. Grilled marinated lobster among others, so tasty. Then we also got snacks and fruit. Thanks for an incredible experience that will not be forgotten anytime soon🤩🤩
