From Zanzibar Day Safari Tour To Mikumi National Park

Our safari was cancelled the day before departure, with no explanation as to why they cancelled at the last minute. It was our last day in Zanzibar, so we were unable to book another safari with a different company. The safari was the main purpose of our trip, so this cancellation completely ruined the end of our holiday. Avoid this company….

Even though we went on a safari in Mikumi National Park at the end of November, during the small rainy season, we were more than thrilled and saw a lot of wildlife. We spotted 4 of the Big 5, though unfortunately there are no more rhinos in the park. During the day, we were even lucky enough to see a leopard, which our guide said is very rare. It was truly a wonderful day, and our guide was simply fantastic! While other jeeps drove past certain animals, we stopped for each and every one, giving us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the experience. Since it was the low season, there were also far fewer jeeps than what is often shown online, which made the safari even more enjoyable. I specifically chose this tour because it was advertised as being offered in German. Despite several German-speaking tourists being on the tour, there was no German-speaking guide. I chose this tour because my partner doesn’t speak English well, and it would have been more comfortable for him. I don’t understand why it’s advertised this way if it’s not actually available. Despite that, it was still a beautiful and exciting day, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We were picked up directly from our hotel and taken to the airport. The journey was smooth and we were looked after. The safari was out of this world and surpassed all expectations. A meal and drinks were included and the day was wonderful. I have booked my Zanzibar holiday again and for certain will visit this Safari once more with this company. No faults whatsoever, the guides even took pictures for me using their binoculars to focus. Totally recommend!

The good food for lunch. The food was very tasty. The hostess was very pleasant. The animals were shy and did not show up.

A day to remember! The guides were knowledgeable, fun and helpful. So many amazing animals to see! Saw more than I expected and had so much fun searching through the reserve for them.

We had an incredible time on this day safari and Captain J was a fabulous guide! We were picked up from our hotel in Matemwe and got to the airport at about 5:30. There were 10 of us in the plane and the flight took about an hour. Once in the park, we saw lions, zebras, girafes, wildebeests, wart hogs, impala, baboons, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, a python, and many birds. Lunch was served outside at the restaurant and was very good. We left the park at around 14:30 and got back to Zanzibar around 15:45.

Great safari. Guide did everything he could to get up as close to the animals as possible. Saw everything we wanted plus more. Lovely lunch also. Great trip, worth the money!

I did the safari on august, it lasted 1 day and it was incredible. photos are not as good as your eyes are, so seeing animals in front of me, sometimes 2 meter between them and you, is something out of this world. Guides will try their best to satisfy you and the organisation is perfect. If you can, the safari is a must-do thing. surely !!

Our day trip to Mikumi National Park was an excellent experience! The trip included the transfer from our hotel to the airport at Zanzibar, the flight in a small airplane to the National Park and lunch, which was a big plus. The Safari Tour was great, we saw lions, buffalos, multiple families of elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, warthogs and a lot of other animals. Our ranger Roger was really nice and able to explain a lot about the animals and trees in the area. If you go to Zanzibar or Tansania we highly recommend this tour! Don't forget to bring a good camera and binoculars.

Highly recommend to spend a day on Safari! It was so memorable experience💖 Everything was so well organized, the transportation by a cute small plane then riding on Safari by a car, we see all the big 4 animals, it was unbelievable! Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Rhinos and so much more. Also we had an amazing dinner in surrounded by nature💖 If you’re spending the time in Zanzibar it is nr 1 tour to make, you won’t regret it and the memories will last forever!

Such an amazing trip! It excited our expectation. The tour guides and everything was well organized, keeping it professional while being cheerfull we had fun interacting with them . I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for advanture and exploring new things. A breath taking experience the view and espacially connecting with the nature. Safari Mikumi its the best . We did over day safari was amazing, that was a very interesting experience in our life .its well worthy the experience for people who love adventure and exploration . the guides are very welcoming and professional, they didn't speak our language and we don't speak good English but he tried to explain everything at his bests and we understood. The hot Lunch was perfect and well arranged. Cars were clean and neat. We saw lots of animals like Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Hyenas, Giraffes, Zebra and a lot more. World you should try this because its Deserves and worthy trying.

We had a very interesting experience going safari selous with flash tour. We got a very friendly local guide, he speak very good englisch. The plane was at time, food very delicious with a Touch of Tanzanie spices and most important the big Tour in the africain jungle Was very nice intersting, we saw so many different animales.

We particularly recommend the safari excursion to Mikumi 🦒: the organization is really very well done from start to finish. The small plane ✈️ departing from Zanzibar is not scary, with a capacity of about 45 people, and the experience in the park is simply great. We were able to observe many animals in their natural environment. A very beautiful memory 💚! We also recommend the excursion to Mnemba, especially for the experience with the dolphins.🐬 For all these excursions, we were accompanied by Omar Saleh, of whom we have an excellent memory. Welcoming, available, responsive, and always full of good advice, he knew how to adapt to our requests, even when we wanted to change the dates of the excursions one or two days before. We enjoyed the experience so much that I have already recommended Flash Tour upon my return to France, thanks in particular to the professionalism and support of Omar Saleh. unforgettable experience. Transport from hotel to Paje, air transport in Broussard. Excellent guides, everything was perfect with an unforgettable experience with an old male elephant. Only downside with the lions that we approached very closely and that seemed amorphous.

Transfer from the hotel to the airport worked great.tickets agency handed us over at the airport,after we had sent passport copies shortly before.Mikumi we were immediately received by the guide Yohanna.wahnsinn.all questions answered,a lot of interesting facts about animals,and up to the last minute searched for animals where other jeeps stopped on the slopes,yohanna brought us virtually up close.a great lovable guide who spoke with us German.perfect safari with him.have seen all the important animals.thanks Yohanna

We had a fantastic day from we started from our hotel until we were back again. Had a very nice guide Nixon, who informed about the park and the wildlife there. There was a nice couple from Lester with us, so we were only 4 pieces in the safari car. Was also a nice lunch stop with good food before we left for the last session before we went home. All in all, a memorable trip that is highly recommended.

We booked and paid for a 1 day safari for MIKUMI in France through the tour operator ô club who unfortunately works with FLASHTOUR. It was impossible to tell us the precise date of the safari and that this would be organized upon our arrival on site. So we arrived on Sunday and Monday asked for the planned date (because no one from FLASHTOUR was going to come us) so that we could organize the other excursions we wanted to make. No answer. After several attempts to call and valuable help from the Hotel Manager SANSI KENDWA we manage to have an appointment at our hotel on Tuesday morning. Since the person sent there was to arrive at 12:20 we did not make the morning excursion because back at 12:30 and we were waiting so long for our date.... This dear gentleman arrives at 1:15 p.m. without knowing the file and without even an excuse. We had to get angry to get a date because he was going to turn us into a squall again. So we are given a safari date on Thursday and we are told that the departure time from the hotel will be communicated the day before. At 7pm the day before tjs no message we try to reach him but no reply. The manager of our hotel managed to reach him via his personal phone to tell us that the safari was cancelled and that he would perhaps be moved to Saturday knowing that we would leave on Monday😖. This safari was our dream and above all it was already settled. We were forced to buy a new safari on the spot with a trusted Fabo person. AVOID FLASTOURS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SPEND YOUR STAY ON THE PHONE AND MAKE EMAILS.

J'avais demandé un guide français, j'ai eu un anglophone. Le petit déjeuné prévu n'a pas eu lieu. Tout cela pour avoir payé plus cher que la même prestation à l'hôtel. avis sur trustpilot

It’s really a great moment! The flight in a small plane is already setting the tone! Flight over Zanzibar, ocean and Tanzania We land directly on a runway in the middle of the savannah. Immediate support by David, our professional and friendly guide-driver, in an open Jeep We come across many animals, calm and majestic, often very close. An unforgettable day, timeless, to experience once!

Up very very early...We are picked up at the hotel for a transfer to Stone Town airport. Small plane which drops us off directly on the dirt runway of Mikumi National Park at 8am. The jeep is waiting for us next to the plane for an instant departure. AMAZING ! We were able to see all the animals, elephants, zebras, giraffes, leopards, wildebeest, impalas, lions, warthogs, baboons, eagles, buffaloes. The jeeps are not stuck in single file, but isolated in search of animals. The guides communicate with each other to give the situation of the animals and sometimes, for the lions for example, we still found ourselves with several jeeps on the spot. Water, fruit juices and cakes are available in a cooler. Quite decent lunch in a lodge within the park surrounded by pilfering baboons. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the guide was really stingy with explanations.

They canceled the day before and still haven't paid back. We're still waiting for a refund. Not serious.

English below Jeśli się zastanawiasz czy wydać pieniądze na tą wycieczkę, KUP ! Byłam dziś mile zaskoczona. Organizacja 10/10. Transferem udajesz się na lotnisko. Później specjalnym wejściem dla safari udajesz się do odlotów. Tam małą awionetką lecisz na teren rezerwatu gdzie czeka na Ciebie jeep z kierowcą aby rozpocząć przygodę. Mieliśmy świetna grupę 3 jeepów plus przewodnik TOM. Razem z naszym kierowcą tworzyli świetny duet. Szofer za każdym razem gdy widział zwierzę, robił wszystko abyśmy mieli jak najlepsze widoki. TOM opowiadał o zwierzętach i przy tym robił świetne zdjęcia.Atmosfera w samochodach rewelacja. W połowie dnia mieliśmy lunch pod Baobabem! Coś cudownego. Słuchajcie,jedyny minus tej wycieczki, którego można się doszukać to afrykański kurz...tylko tyle. I pisze to szczerze bo sama się zastanawiałam czy wydać tyle kasy. I nie żałuję. We had a great group of 3 jeeps plus the guide TOM. Together with our driver, they formed a great duo. Each time the chauffeur saw the animal, he did his best to give us the best views. TOM talked about animals and took great pictures at the same time. The atmosphere in the cars was amazing. We had lunch under the Baobab in the middle of the day! Something wonderful. Look, the only downside to this trip that you can find is African dust ... that's it. And I write it honestly because I was wondering whether to spend so much money. And I do not regret it.

This is exactly how you imagine a safari! Early in the morning we took the plane from Zanzibar directly to the national park. Right there in jeeps. The miseries are very well connected there and know exactly where to see which animals. After a lunch break there is a second exploration part. I've seen a lot as expected.
