My family and I had a great day with Said exploring Zanzibar! Communication with him leading up to the trip was also great - we communicated over WhatsApp as I had requested that. The day trip is in the southern parts and our hotel was in the north so it was a very long drive but we got to see a lot of the island which was great. Said shared a lot of good information and history about the region. All the places we visited were so beautiful and ending the day at Kae funk was really good. I would recommend this excursion. And reach out to Said directly for more tours of the Island!

10/10 — Highly recommend! This excursion was even better than we expected. Although it was about a two-hour drive from the northwest coast, it was a great way to explore southeastern Zanzibar. We loved that it was a private tour, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop at our own pace. The fresh seafood lunch was delicious, the cave was peaceful and beautiful, and ending the day at a beach party with music, drinks, a bonfire, and a stunning sunset was the perfect finish. If you’re looking for a more relaxed day of exploring Zanzibar, this excursion is definitely worth it!

It’s a nice experience to see different parts of Zanzibar. So I would recommend it however, the tour guide may not be as enthusiastic as you would expect a tour guide to be. And several stuff were made without clear communication on why those staff were made with other people picked up, but I don’t know if they’re part two or not or if they were just family members as communication was very limited.

This was truly an amazing experience — the perfect way to start my vacation in Zanzibar! I was able to see and do so much in just one day. It genuinely felt like getting a full “taste” of Zanzibar: activities, culture, key landmarks, and an authentic local feel all wrapped into one unforgettable excursion. My tour guide was one of the most communicative and attentive people I’ve ever worked with. He checked in the day before to confirm everything, reached out again the morning of, and kept me updated the entire time. As a solo traveler in a foreign country, that level of communication and reassurance meant everything. The day flowed beautifully. We started with visiting the turtles while he shared incredible history during the drive. I even got to play with a little monkey and take some amazing photos. Then we headed to the beach, where I met a local woman who made the most creative coconut crafts — such a special touch. After a delicious late lunch, we explored a serene cave where I was able to relax, recharge, and truly feel the healing energy of the space. We wrapped up the evening with a vibrant beach party that felt like the perfect finale. This tour gave me adventure, culture, relaxation, nature, and nightlife all in one. Fabulous spots to visit, well organised. The nine of us travelled in two cars, but we arrived together at all spots. Long day as we were staying on the north coast. We are very happy we did this.

Said was the best guide!! Saw so many things, and I had such a great time. I was only in town for a short time and I feel like I got to see so many things.

We coldn't partecipate to the tour because nobody came to pick up us as agreed. The tour should have started at 8.00, but it was shifted to 9,00. At 9,45 nobody was at out hotel yet, so I cancelled it because it is not respectful to the customers!

From the time Said picked us up, he made us feel safe and welcome. He is very knowledgeable and on the drive constantly pointing out other highlights to us. We started the day with a beautiful beach and a lovely lunch at a rock restaurant then visited caves, and ended the day with a perfect sunset and beach party. What a day! We visited several sites that gave an opportunity to swim with turtles, eat at a beach side restaurant, and swim in a cave sanctuary. The day was capped off with a sunset viewing party complete with barn fire and entertainment. It was a full day of fun and moving around.

An Incredible Solo Sunset Experience with VivaOceansTours & Safaris! The tour was incredibly good, and I had a fantastic time from start to finish. The absolute highlight for me was witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the Zanzibar ocean. It was a truly magical moment that I won't forget. Said took some amazing photos, and I particularly loved the sunset pictures he captured – they're perfect memories of that stunning evening. Just sitting there and watching the sunset unfold was pure bliss. Said was an excellent tour guide. 100% recommend. Guide was on time very personable. Drive down the coast through the villages was very nice. Food at Usumba Rock was very delicious. Had a great time at Kae Funk, Salaam and Maalum caves. Would recommend bring water shoes for salaam cave. The ground was a bit rocky and slippery. Wouldn’t hesitate booking again

We had a wonderful full-day excursion exploring the south and east coasts of Zanzibar Island. Our adventure began at the Saalam Cave in Kizimkazi, where we had the chance to share the water with sea turtles and feed them seaweed. Next, we visited Mtende Beach and the nearby Usumba Rock, which is accessible at low tide and offers stunning views; during high tide, an alternative route is available. After that, we explored Cuza Cave (near Paje beach), which turned out to be a fantastic experience. We swam in crystal-clear waters that were nearly 10 meters deep. Following our cave adventure, we enjoyed swimming at the sunny Paje Beach, where we also had lunch at the Shanga restaurant. In the afternoon, we headed to Kae Beach to relax and watch the sunset. It truly was a fantastic day trip. We arranged the tour and hired a guide in Stone Town, and the cost for two people was very affordable. We remembered to bring our towels and left all our worries behind!

Said was our driver and guide, he was one of the kindest people we have ever come across and made the trip even more special and memorable. He was so generous with his time and showed us around everywhere and truly went above and beyond. Zanzibar has some of the kindest people but Said was exceptional (I would request him if u can!) We will definitely be back again & book again

The best way to experience Zanzibar’s natural and cultural wonders. It is also a great way to spend a full day away from your Stone Town or Beach Hotel to see the southern part of the island. Said will show you a great time along with conversations of anything you want to know about Zanzibar. It’s a packed day of fun, food and memories that you will take with you when you leave Zanzibar. Lots of picture taking opportunities ending the day with the eastern sunset, music, acrobatics and bonfire. You will end the day riding a boat from the beach to Said’s van to take you home. It’s a fuil day of activities to experience as a part of this private tour. We had a great time and glad we invested in this trip! Well worth it!.

A must do trip of the south part of Zanzibar. Said provided a wonderful day of swimming with turtles, visiting amazing beaches, seeing the two iconic Rock Restaurants, one with a lunch, relaxing swim in a cave and caping the day with a sunset, music and acrobatic show. Since the tide came in after sunset, we were taken back to the car by boat. It was a day of beautiful nature and culture experiences with the locals. Everyone we met were so accommodating. This is an excellent way to experience Zanzibar outside of your Stone Town or your beach hotel. We had a wonderful time and Said was an excellent resource for our questions about Zanzibar.

Wonderful but the real star was Said. He made the tour wonderful, he was an absolute angel all through making sure my sister, mom and I had the best time. Took great pictures and videos of us (A LOT)!!! Book with him, you will not be disappointed

Amazing experience, really get to see the beauty of Zanizbar. The trip was actually very long though so be prepared. For us it was about 12 hours. We enjoyed it a lot.

Randomly I decided to go to Zanzibar from the US within 2 days. No worries. Said was an amazing tour guide. I picked this tour as there was a lot to do And I would be by myself. I was in for a treat. For one, I felt extremely safe. I felt very taken care of. As a solo traveler I couldn’t have asked for more than that. Not only that, I was able to take my time at each excursion. First we drove a VERY LONG drive to go swim with turtles and feed them. I was quite scared but Said got in the water with me and helped ease my fears lol. He even took a THOUSAND pictures. You would’ve thought I was an influencer haha. We then ate a traditional breakfast and back on the road we went. We also went to a cave where again, very taken care of. Said was very knowledgeable about the different parts of Zanzibar. The history of Zanzibar. I was so impressed And in awe. Such a beautiful island. Anyways we didn’t get to do the last excursion but that was my fault. I wanted to stay at the Rock restaurant and eat there. So if you want to alter your excursion, you can! But it was really such a fun time! I really had the best time of my life. He was on time and very courteous And respectful. I HIGHLY reccomend this excursions

This is a wonderful excursion. As a female solo traveller I always felt completely secure. I fed turtles, visited stunning beaches, ate local food and cheered on the acrobats at a sunset beach party. Said operated to a timetable that really worked and has a genuine passion for the south of the island. I’d recommend this excursion to anyone.

If you are in Zanibar and have time This is a great way to explore the Southern side of the island. It was absolutely beautiful. There was so much to see and do. Our Guide Said was amazing. The actual attractions that the tour encompasses were phenomenal. Our only issue was that the tour guide did not provide much by way of information and the attraction guides provided only about 5-10 minutes of detail without any context, historical or otherwise.

We had a wonderful time having Saïd as our guide. He exceeded our expectations and we both were very thankful for his guidance as we explored the many amazing locations of Zanzibar. We appreciate that he still was able to provide us lunch even though the restaurant was not able to accommodate a vegetarian diet. My friend and I had the most memorable week in Zanzibar and Saeed definitely made it extra special! He was always on time, super friendly and chatty and played the best music on our car trips. This day was absolutely amazing! Beautiful beaches to feeding the beautiful turtles and the sunset party to top it off! Said was an amazing tour guide! This was a private tour so we had the car to ourselves with great music, AC & charging ports. The lunch at the rock restaurant was good as well!

Absolutely incredible trip, you’ll be sure to fall in love with Zanzibar after this one. Our tour guide Said was amazing, he turned up on time and knew all the places to go in the right order to avoid lots of crowds. Swimming with turtles and the Malum caves were just magical. Wonderful day with Said. He knows where to go and the best time of day to be there. Every place we visited was incredible - The Rock Restaurant, Mtende Beach, Maalum Natural Swimming Cave, Salaam Aquarium Kizimkazi. We travel a lot and I am always looking for different experiences and even though we had seen and experienced similar places elsewhere these were much better and so worth visiting. Said took good care of us all day and made sure we got everything we wanted during the day.

With Said, my girlfriend and I made several trips, Jozani Forest, Nakupenda, Prison Island, Salam Cave and Mtenda beach. Said was very accommodating, friendly, punctual and patient. It was mega fun! We had it good for each other everywhere we arrived it was quiet and super nice! The tour guide speaks good English so that is also super nice. Definitely worth it

First things first: The spots of the tour are really beautiful throughout! And with the exception of "The Rock", where you only had a 10min photo stop, there was also plenty of time that you could use independently. Mtende Beach was also super nice despite low tide, the Usumba Rock restaurant spectacular and the food good, the Maalum cave a place to relax and not overcrowded by having a timeslot. At Kae Beach at sunset, party is the order of the day. Given that we were out from 9 a.m. and would not have been back at the hotel until 9 p.m., we stopped this a little earlier. After we only did the tour together, that was no problem and Said made sure that we had the commuter boat from the beach back to the parking lot before the "rush hour". The information flow before the tour was good. Our hotel was not on the offered list of pickup locations. However, this worked out well and on time. What was less great was Said's lack of information during the day. He explicitly pointed out that it is not a "historic tour", but you had to ask explicitly at each stop what you needed in terms of utensils or what you could leave in the car. What was disturbing was that the phone rang every few minutes while driving. This may be due to Said's independence. But the fact that the driver also typed one or the other WhatsAPP while driving and with guests on board is already borderline, especially with traffic on Zanzibar's roads. And finally, it must be said that the tour is not exactly cheap and the price is not necessarily justified by the sum of the entrance fees. We were, as mentioned, only two of us and drove from Uroa (i.e. from the middle of the east coast), but the single price of 165 euros obviously does not reduce even with several participants. We booked and made a full-day tour with several spots (incl. lunch and 2 x fruit) to the north for about 60 euros per person on site. And it may seem petty, but there was also drinking water in the car and the driver also opened the doors to get out and in.
