The cooking class portion of the spice farm tour was a truly unique and authentic experience, but not for the faint of heart! From sitting on the floor of the “kitchen”, which is essentially a dirt floor , cinder block room without running water or electricity, to cutting up vegetables used in the multi-course meal, to watching “Mama” prepare the meal and waiting for the meal to cook over 3 portable charcoal braziers, we all felt transported in time. But the food was delicious and despite all of our Western food safety concerns, none of us had any issues. If you are adventurous this cooking experience is for you! For the not so food adventurous the spice farm tour was excellent on its own.

My wife and I tried the spice tour experience in Zanzibar and it was beyond our expectations our tour guide filled us with so much information about spices and tropical fruit we even got to try some of the fresh fruits from the farm. It was amazing, highly recommended! 😊

Great spice tour trip with machano it was one hour driving from our hotel to the farm and we spent three hours actually the tour was amazing because we had best tour guide and his language was perfect we understood his information and very interested thank you so much guys see you next time

Amazing Tour! The spice Farm was one of my favorits in Sansibar. It was an excellent experience with the growing fruits and spices. Our tour guide Machano was super. He knows everything about the spices and fruits. He loves his work. Keep it up! We loved the tour.
