The tour was amazing! The organisation cannot be faulted there was someone at every step of the way to look after us and take us to the next location and the team were also available to contact via WhatsApp. The hotel and food were good, the staff were lovely and we particularly enjoyed our safari picnic. Most importantly we want to shoutout our fantastic guide J4. He was excellent from start to end. He was extremely knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts across the safari, he was super friendly and went out of his way to ensure we saw all our favourite animals! We even got to see a rare sighting of a leopard which was amazing! I would strongly recommend this safari :)

Itinerary
Selous Game Reserve, now officially known as Nyerere National Park, covers 5% of Tanzania’s land area—approximately 54,600 sq km—making it Africa’s largest wildlife reserve and Tanzania’s most expansive protected ecosystem.
The park hosts large populations of elephants, lions, buffaloes, wild dogs, crocodiles, hippos, and an impressive variety of bird species along the famous Rufiji River.
Originally named after British explorer Frederick Selous, the reserve is today proudly recognized as Nyerere National Park.
This 3-day safari starts with a pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar, followed by your boat or flight to Dar es Salaam, and ends with a smooth return back to Zanzibar with a hotel drop-off.
Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Selous (Nyerere National Park)
You will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the ferry terminal for your boat to Dar es Salaam.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, your guide from Kihindo Tours and Safaris will meet you at the ferry terminal for a safari briefing.
You will then drive south to Selous Game Reserve, a journey of approximately 4–5 hours.
On arrival, you will enjoy lunch and begin your afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife coming to drink by the riverbanks.
Dinner and Overnight: Selous Mloka Safaris Lodge (Full Board)
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive – Selous (Nyerere National Park)
After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with packed lunch.
Your guide will select a beautiful picnic site where you can relax and enjoy your lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of the park.
After lunch, you will continue exploring the reserve until evening.
Dinner and Overnight: Selous Mloka Safaris Lodge (Full Board)
Day 3: Selous (Nyerere NP) – Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar
Begin your day with a morning walking safari, which lasts about 2.5 hours, guided by a professional ranger.
After returning to the lodge, you will shower and enjoy breakfast.
You will then drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped at the airport for your flight or at the ferry terminal for your boat back to Zanzibar (or Mafia Island).
Once you arrive in Zanzibar, we will provide a hotel transfer, completing your safari adventure.

Our safari exceeded every expectation and was truly one of the most incredible travel experiences we’ve ever had. The landscapes were breathtaking, the wildlife was spectacular, and every day brought something new and unforgettable. The biggest reason this trip was so special was our guide, Mr. William. His knowledge of the animals, their behavior, and the ecosystem was outstanding. He had an incredible ability to spot wildlife that we would never have noticed on our own. Beyond his expertise, Mr. William was professional, patient, friendly, and genuinely passionate about his work. He answered every question with enthusiasm, shared fascinating facts throughout the journey, and made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. Thanks to his dedication, we were fortunate enough to see an incredible variety of animals and create memories that will stay with us forever. If you’re planning a safari, I would recommend this company and especially Mr. William highly enough. He is an exceptional guide who turns a great safari into an unforgettable one. Thank you, Mr. William, for an amazing adventure. We hope to return one day!
After 5 Safaris, I must say this it was quite unique, as it combined a boat trip along the river, a full game drive and a bush man walk. The bus man guided us through the bush and we learnt how to use medicine trees. William, our guide driver took us through the Nyerere park, explaining professionally all about plants, trees and animal behaviour. He search all over till we got to see the animals. He cared about our comfort and joy ,as well as he drove us safe and sound to all destinations. I'd highly recommend William as a guide and driver and the company for their clear communication and collaboration to make it all happen.
We did a 3 days private safari to Nierere Park with William. Everything was very well organised by kihindo Tours (for instance transport and accomodation, Mloka lodge). Safari was fantastic, we saw so many animals, thanks to our incredible guide (William). He’s been always kind, available for any question and to explain us animals, plants, traditions of Tanzania. Personally speaking, one of the most beautiful experience in life!
Great safari experience. The tour guides were great and were really helpful. The park was filled with all kinds of wild animals
I really didn't expect to get this... The accommodation - quiet, peaceful, clean, natural place in nature, polite staff, always smiling.. and the food was incredibly delicious. Safari - in less than two days we saw everything we wanted, and even more.. monkeys, lions, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, wild dog, hyenas, elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, Pumba, and impalas and giraffes were on every corner.. we saw at least 50 giraffes. And last but not least. We had an awesome guide. If you want a good experience, ask for Michael. He told us so many things that it was like I read an encyclopedia. In two days I learned from him, not only about the animals, but also about life, people, customs in Tanzania. It was an experience I will never forget. I really didn't expect this!
Just returned from the most AMAZING safari experience in Tanzania at Nyerere National Park with Kihindo Tours. The people of Tanzania are incredibly welcoming! From the moment of booking, to pick up & drop off at the airport, Kihindo Tours were so helpful and so good at maintaining contact throughout the whole journey. The park makes you feel like you are emerged in authentic nature, seeing a wonderful variety of wildlife! The Rufiji tour and bush walk were also a highlight. My guide and driver Wiliam was so knowledgeable, spoke fantastic English and was passionate about nature, which really added to the experience! The Mloka Lodge and rooms were beautiful, the food was great and the staff wonderful. Loved everything about it. Highly recommend and hope to return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went with a group of 6 total people and we had an amazing time! It truly was seamless from booking the tour to getting dropped off where we needed to be after the safari. They are so accommodating, and I had no trouble communicating with them. They responded right away and answered all the questions we had. We also enjoyed our time with our tour guide, Mr. Apollo. The only thing, I would recommend bringing snacks with you. We found ourselves hungry a few times, but the food was delicious.
Great experience! Can not be described in Words! Has to be experienced! We had a great time and got to see all animals except for leopard.
Very good tour. Picked us up at the hotel at the correct time. Very nice guide. Drove safely. Had good knowledge of the park and animals.
Our stay in Mloka was absolutely wonderful. The boat safari offered a unique and interesting perspective on the local nature, while the visit to the Masai Boma Village was a truly authentic and enriching experience. The highlight, however, was the game drive, made perfect by our incredible driver, Marufu. With great dedication and professionalism, he went above and beyond to ensure we saw a magnificent array of animals, making the entire experience truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this safari to anyone looking for a comprehensive and impeccably organized adventure!
We've done a 3D/2N safari in Nyerere National Park organized by Kihindo Tours and Safaris. Everything was perfect from the first contact till the end of the safari. We've set all the details through WhatsApp, they were very quick to answer all my questions (specific on the tour itself or general enquires related to other "issues" I had when planning my holidays). Everything was very clear and straightforward - price, payment, tour details, accommodation (they offered a few alternatives to choose from). As for the tour itself, again, everything was perfect: - the transport from Dar es Salaam was done with a private Toyota Avanza that offered all the comfort for the 4-5 hour drive - the accommodation was very good, as it was described and as in the pictures provided - the safari was done with a dedicated safari car - for us it was way better than the transformed Toyotas with an open rooftop where you need to stand up - the guides that we had were very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and tried their best to see as many animals as possible - we did see a lot of animals As a conclusion, I cannot say anything bad about the company or the tour. We had a great time, a memory for lifetime.
My family and I have been on an absolutely fantastic safari trip and one of the important parts of the trip was our fantastic guide, who was welcoming and always with a smile. He was good at informing us and happily answered our questions. During our entire safari stay, good food and care were provided. In addition, we arrived at the most fantastic lodge in true African and safari style, where elephants came to visit at night/early in the morning and sometimes other animals from nature. Everyone on site was extremely gracious and the owner of the place often came and had a little chat and good advice for our trip after the safari stay was over. We were taken care of all the way through, with food and drink and lots of kindness. We had an incredible number of good experiences with us, both during the stay itself, but not least through our boat safari and the safari itself out with the wild animals. Can definitely be recommended!!!
Positives: - Punctual pickup and consistent timing throughout the tour - Skilled driving on challenging roads - Excellent hospitality at Mloka Safari Lodge with attentive and professional staff - Comprehensive boat safari with good wildlife viewing (hippos, crocodiles, birds) - Beautiful sunset experience on a river island - Extensive game drive with numerous wildlife sightings (wild dogs, baboons, antelopes, buffalo, lions with cubs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, various birds) - Driver-guide demonstrated good wildlife spotting abilities - All meals and accommodations were well-organized Areas for improvement: - Initial greeting and introduction process could be more professional and clear - Driver-guide could provide more proactive information about wildlife and surroundings without waiting for questions - Some luggage damage occurred due to placement during transport - The walking safari guide appeared unprofessional, thoguh it was the morning of the 01. january - The final transfer to the port involved unexpected additional charges for porter services, which felt like a forced expense Additional notes: The safari delivered on its core promises of wildlife viewing and accommodation. The vehicle was appropriate for the terrain, and the schedule was well-maintained. While communication could be improved in several areas, the overall experience provided good wildlife viewing opportunities in Nyerere National Park. The driver-guide was a capable driver and wildlife spotter, though more proactive commentary about the wildlife and environment would have enhanced the experience. The lodge accommodation and service exceeded expectations.
Our guide Abel picked us up from Dar Es Salam and returned us there at the end of our tour which was really helpful. The landscape in Nyerere national park is truly beautiful and the varied safari wildlife was worth the visit. Unfortunately we were unable to see the African Wild Dogs as they had recently moved to a different area. We were able to see African Fish Eagles hunting which was really special. The boat cruise and the walking tour offered an alternative way to view the wildlife. Huge thanks to the team at Kihindo for the tour!!
Michael was absolutely the best guide we could have asked for. The entire trip was incredibly informative, and we learned so much from him. If I had the chance to do this again, I would choose him without hesitation. We are truly grateful to him for making this trip unforgettable.
Excelente treatment, all the workers were nice, approachable and helpful. An amazing adventure if you want to see the wildlife in a safe and respectful way!
It was an amazing experience, really full of animals and incredible landscapes. All the people and workers treated us really well, we enjoy it a lot!
Very good safari experience with lot of African massage roads (bumpy road). Nice way to explore African wildlife from 3 difernet views. Thanks to our fantastic guide William we got to see a lot of animals in their natural habitat, and he told us all about them-what they eat and all the other things. I definately suggest this if you have limited time but want to explore as much as possible. The acomadation was also very nice and close to the park, the food was good.
Our safari experience was unforgettable in Nyerere national park. We were lucky to have such a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, William, who picked us up from our hotel in dar es salaam and took us to all of our activities. The river safari was incredible as we got close up to the hippos and crocodiles. We got up close to all the animals, including lions, giraffes, buffalo’s, monkeys etc. William made sure we made the most of our day in the national park. On our last day we did the morning walking safari, which was lead by a very funny tour guide, we even spotted some elephants. The hotel was comfortable and the food was very good. The staff were very accommodating. Overall couldn’t recommend this company more.
This was my first propper safari experience, and to say it blew away my highest expectations is an enormous understatement. William, our guide, was absolutely fantastic at every aspect, spotting and identifying rare species before we had even arrived at the national park. He was also fantastic at tailoring the drives to our specific interests, ensuring that the bird enthusiasts in our group had sufficient time to photograph and admire new species. The encounters with the larger mammals were nothing short of awe-inspiring, with a deeply moving experience involving an elephant crossing the river to greet another, being a personal highlight for me. William was fantastic at allowing us to get the clearest views of the animals, without compromising their welfare, (which was very important to us as zoology and conservation students) as he took every step in ensuring minimal stress was caused while we viewed. He also managed the time impeccably, ensuring we had enough time with the animals which were most fascinating to us. We also added on a last minute excursion to Mikumi, in which we were fortunate enough to witness lion cubs playing and feeding. Despite the long distance between reserves, and limited time, William managed to get us everywhere we needed to be, with time to spare. I can't rate this experience highly enough, and would like to give much deserved recognition to William and all the others involved, who made our trip truly special. 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Amazing safari, great guide. Nice food, good hotel. We saw a lot of animals and impressive landscapes. We had a great time!!!!!
That was an extraordinary experience full of animals, joy, lots of knowledge and most importantly a special shoutout to an amazing guide William! Thanks to him we’ve seen giraffes, zebras, gnu, impalas and other antelopes, baboons, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, velvet monkeys and plenty of birds including eagles! We’ve also learned about a local flora. William gave us all the information we needed. He was very attentive to our needs and made a great effort to show us as many animals as possible from best angles. The program was great and included a boat safari, game drive safari and a walking safari. We had such a blast ❤️
The safari was excellent and perfectly organized. The Agency (Kihindo) was always professional and responsive. Michael (our driver and guide) was truly exceptional. He was definitely passionate about his job and really knowledgeable. We managed to see so many animals and took so many pictures. Michael was always on time and available to help. Accommodation and food were both excellent. Easy communication with them since the booking. Definitely a tour and agency I strongly recommend!
I did the 3 day Nyerere tour with Kihindo and it was more than I could’ve dreamed! I was looking for a private tour that was also budget friendly and fit into a smaller time frame .. this tour was that and more. From the planning with Winnie to our amazing guide Michael (we love you guys!) and trainee, it could not have been a more personalized amazing experience. Winnie even helped me plan a birthday surprise. Michael was super accommodating any time we wanted to stop on the drive and answer the millions of questions we had at all points. The accommodation provided was SO incredible, the food was great and the employees were so sweet. On the safari itself we saw ALL the animals wanted (zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippos). Michael even made sure we saw the lions which are never a given to see! We also had the pleasure of doing a boat tour and saw hippos and got to visit a Masaai village before heading back to Dar es salaam. This was such a special trip and I wish I could thank you guys a million times
Everything was perfect! Abil was very attentive and patient. We were lucky to see many animals up close and had plenty of time to observe them. The organization of these three days was excellent—we just had to let ourselves be guided! Our safari will be unforgettable thanks to Abil. Thank you for everything!
We went to a private group safari as 4 friends and we had such a blast. Every minute of it including the safari itself, the accomodation, the food, the service was beyond expectations in the middle of the jungle. Planning was without a problem and the moment we started to communicate with Winnie, it was obvious that the agency would go out of their ways to welcome us. Our guide William was not only a guide that is so knowlegable about the area but also such a great friend. Also everyone working at the lodge, the additional guides that took us to the walking safari and boat safari were very knowledgable and such nice people. We did not have any issues but if we had, we knew the crew would make everything to make it theirs. The accomodation was very clean with very big rooms, the food was good with big enough portions. We have witnessed amazing nature, although the heat of the region is not for everyone, we would definitely do it again! We will be recommending the agency to everyone we know!
We had amazing time at this Safari. We handled the booking with Winnie. She was really fast with answers and she was really polite. Our guide was William and we loved him. He was very professional and lovely. William teached alot about Tanzanian nature and about the culture. William was very good at finding the animals. He always made sure that we were okay. He was always on time waiting for us. We got to see everything what we wanted. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, lion and many more. We also loved the walking safari. Our guide DeeDee was amazing person and he teached us alot about his culture and about the nature. People should know that the walking safari is more about the culture not about seeking for animals. The food was great we didn't feel hungry at any point. We got some cold beers after the Safaris, they tasted great. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very polite and nice. We would recommend this to everybody, thank you very much.
A few days ago we went on a safari with Kihindo safaris. Our guide was William. He picked us up from the hotel in Msasani and drove patiently through the early morning traffic of Daressalam. We had asked for a three day private Safari in Nyere National Park. William explained the schedule to us and brought us to the beautiful Mloka Lodge not far from the park. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our rooms elegant, simple, clean - we were really happy! Later we had a relaxing river cruise with some birds, hippos and crocodiles. When we came back to the lodge our dinner was ready. Since we don't eat meet we had wonderful vegetarian pasta and fresh fruits. The food over the 3 days was amazing. Next day we had an all day safari with Williams in the park. What a joy! He knows so much and discovered many birds, plants and mammals. His English was great and we learned a lot. But he also gave us some time to observe and contemplate the beauty of the park. One of the highlights was a pride of lions chasing a giraffe. On our final day we had an entertaining walking safari and then William drove us back to Dar. We are so thankful for this experience! We hadn't planned on doing Nyerere Park but it turned out a great idea. Big thanks also to Winnie, who organized it. Everything was much better than we had hoped for. Ute and Andreas from Germany
Dream to reality with Kihindo Safard, booked for 3 days from Dar es Salaam. Things went smoothly all the way. Our guide Abel was excellent and he provided us with an unforgettable experience. I will definitely recommend him to my friends who are planning to have a similar trip later. We were also lucky to see very many animals such as giraffes, elephants (also babys), lion, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, water buffalo etc. We stayed in Mloka Safari lodge. We felt very welcomed with nice and friendly people around. Place was nice and clean with private bathroom.
Asante sana! I booked a safari for my family (me, my wife and 2 adult sons) from Finland. Booking was easy and everything was as promised and all went very smoothly. We had a boat safari, one full day game drive and morning walk on the last day. Already on the boat safari we saw much more than expected. Our guide Abel was fantastic. During game drive we saw much more than expected. We definitely feet that we got the best safari experience we could have hoped for. Our accommodation was at Mloka Safari Lodge. Place was pleasant and service and food was great. Personally I appreciated cold beer after long days. If I am going to have another safari in Tanzania, I will get from Kihindo.
My husband and I did the safari tour for our honeymoon and we loved it so much! It was very well organised! We enjoyed it a lot, the food was great, value for money was incredible and the staff were all so lovely. Our tour guide Guston was well knowledgeable about the animals and quite passionate which made our experience better. We had so much fun hanging out with him over the course of 3 days. Winnie was also great to deal with when making the booking and she was quick to respond to all of my queries. We would highly recommend this tour to others as well. Beautiful country, people and animals!
I can say that the whole Kihindo safari experience we had on the mainland of Tanzania was a 10/10. We took a ferry from Stone Town, Zanzibar and when we arrived to Dar es Salaam, our guide was already waiting for us there. There is a 4-5 hour drive to the Mloka Lodge, and although part of the road is bumpy, honestly, it was not something that unenjoyable. The lodge was very clean, it had an authentic vibe and we had all the necessary amenities. The food was delicious- all of the meals were tasty and well cooked by the experienced chef they have. The overall staff was very nice, helpful and always smiling. Our special mention has to be our great guide, William, who was always careful and happy to assist us in any way. He was responsible for us for the whole stay and was also our game drive safari guide, thanks to him we had an amazing day, we saw a lot of animals and created core memories we will cherish forever. We definitely recommend having him as a guide, if you have the chance, he is friendly and he does his job with passion and profesionalism. Don’t skip this great venture into the wild heart of Africa! :)
I spent three days and two night safari with this tour operator, they took us from our hotel in Dar and brought us directly to the lodge in Nyerere national park! They have been so nice to get any of our requests. William, our guide was amazing, answering every questions we had and fulfilled our every request!
I've been on dozens of tours all over the world and this tour falls within the TOP 3 in my lifetime. The communication to book the tour was excellent and all my questions were answered clearly. Pick-up from the port was on time and the 4 hour journey to the lodge was scenic. The lodge, food and customer service was excellent. Our tour guide was magnificent and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the most wildlife. He was very knowledgeable and showed passion in his work. I booked this tour strictly based on the cheapest price factor and went there not expecting much but this tour was a FULL 10/10. This was one of the most exhilarating 3 days of my life without a doubt and I highly rate Kihindo Tours and Safaris for the flawless service rendered.
We went on a 3 day safari to Nyerere National Park. Winnie was really fantastic answering all my many questions and organising the Safari for us. Our guide Iddris was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for him. He answered all our many questions, took the time to find all the birds, animals and plants and tell us all about habitats and behaviours. He made a big effort to get close to the animals while still respecting the animals space. We saw the Big 4 and many other animals and birds. Idriss driving skills are exceptional and I felt very safe despite the bumpy roads and traffic in Dar as we drove in and out of the city. He helped us get our ferry tickets and manage our luggage so we had low stress experience at the busy terminal. We enjoyed his friendly nature and his humour. We also really enjoyed the river trip with Kennedy, he's very knowledgeable and the walking Safari with Didi. He was able to tell us a lot about bush medicines and the mutualism between animals and between plants and animals. I highly recommend Mloko Safari Lodge with very good accommodation, beautiful setting and good food. The staff, including Elizabeth and Veronica, are very attentive and fun.
We were picked up in Dar Es Salaam for the drive to the park. Our driver (lddris) was also our guide for much of the time. In the afternoon we went on a river tour. For this part our guide was Kenedy. We saw hippos and crocodiles and many birds. Our guide proved very knowledgeable. We were particularly impressed by what we leaked about the birds on the river. On the second day, Iddris took us on a 4 wheel drive tour of the park. It was great to see the animals in their wild state. Iddris was fantastic at knowing where to find the animals and their place in the ecology. On the third morning we had a walking safari with Didi as our guide. Didi's animated presentation in traditional garb was really informative and entertaining. We learnt a lot about uses of native plants and animal behaviour. In the afternoon, Iddris drove us back to Dar Es Salaam. For the whole tour we felt looked after with excellent meals and staff who couldn't do enough to help us. We were particularly happy with our guide/diver who became a friend. We found Iddris friendly, reliable and helpful.
Disappointed with last day's walkng safari, which involved 20 tourists grouped together walkng in a circle just off of the road, led by a village guy dressed in loin cloth, boasting about killing a hippo. Not what I was expecting from a bush walk. The full day game drive was good (2nd day) Our guide, Jumanne, was very knowledgeable, and an excellent driver, took us to all the watering holes, and off road searching for Leopard and wild dogs. Alas elusive but we saw lots of hippos, alligators, giraffe, baboons. Jeeps are old and without aircon, back door doesnt close properly so you eat dust the full 5 hours down from Dar es Salaam and back. The first day river safari, we had a boat guide who barely spoke English. My recommendations, dont bother with Kihindo. You can do better. Go to Serengeti. You'll see a lot more animals.
Perfect company to use for safari.Communication was super fast from Winnie,Micheal-our guide-was very knowledgeable, about both animals and Tanzania in general, very good with people too.The camp was perfect ,with good food, great rooms and wonderful staff.I would recommend this company 101%. The experience itself was varied and all guides used were interested and engaged. As for the bushwalk with Didi....hes is amazing!
Perfect experience, good value. Tour guide Kapande couldn’t have been better, he was very knowledgeable and made sure we got the most out of our time in Nyerere.
Our Safari Experience with Kihindo Tours was truly amazing. Winnies communication was very helpful from start to finish, she always was there to help and wanted to know what we thought about different things. Our guide William did everything he could do to give us a perfect experience. With his help we managed to have a look at most of the animals in the national parc. Our highlight were the sleeping lions. We can highly recommend travelling with Kihindo tours and safaris!
We had a lovely time at our safari with Kihindo. We did a 3-day safari, and experienced a lot in just these 3 days. During the safari we saw a lot of animals, such as elephants, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes and even African wild dogs! Kihindo’s service, communication and hospitality were excellent both before, during and after the safari was finished. Would definitely recommend!!
We have two days and one night safari in Nierere park me, my husband and my baby Victoria of 6 . All fantastic ! organization, very kind guide William so lovely with us and our baby, speak English perfectly ,very comfortable accomodation just outside the park, clean and with kind staff and georgeus meal . I recommend Kihindo and the organizer Winnie to all of you
From the moment we contacted Kihindo Tours and Safaris we knew they were the company for us, Winnie was so helpful providing us with everything we asked for. We did a three day safari in Nyerere National Park followed by a tour of Dar city. Saloniki was our guide and William our driver, when we met them they were polite and helpful. We were soon able to relax in their company as they were so much fun, they were also very knowledgeable and skillfully navigated roads that were not easy in difficult weather. For our full day safari they provided us with beautiful weather and all the animals we could wish to see. We wanted to see elephant, they worked so hard to find them and they did it, providing us with the best experience ever! I would recommend them every time. Thank you guys for a wonderful adventure. :)
Me and my friend booked the 3-day safari in Nyerere (Selous) Nationalpark with a boat Safari, Game Drive and Walking Safari. The tour was amazing and we got the chance to see a lot of animals. We saw the 4 animals out of the Big Five, that are living in the Nationalpark. Out Tourguide Isaya was great, he knows the place really well and showed us so many animals, explained a lot about them and tried to give us an unique experience. Most of the time we were completely alone with the animals. Only for the lions, there were a lot of other cars, but that’s because everyone would love to see them so the guides communicate with eachother in case one finds them. The accommodation was great as well and everyone is super friendly. The food was really good, for the whole day game drive they gave us a lunch box, which was a full meal. To summarize, this tour is definitely worth it and I would book it again! Especially our tour guide Isaya was amazing and I would love to do a Safari with him again. You will see a lot of animals for sure, while not disturbing them too much.
From the moment I reached out to Kihindo Tours for a spontaneous/last minute safari booking, I knew I’d made the right choice. Winnie was great with communication, helping me choose the right options and even recommending a great hotel in Dar es salaam in my price range for before/after the safari. She communicated over WhatsApp which made everything happen quickly and seemlessly and she has a great sense of humour! Gaston my guide was fabulous. I learned so much and he went above and beyond to ensure that I got the most out of the 2 night/3 day tour to Nyerere National Park. We had loads of laughs and he was patient answering all of my questions and teaching me swahili! The Lodge was peaceful, service and food 5 star. The boat trip and walking safari were perfect additions. Considering how many options there are for safari tours/operators, I’m so glad I chose kihindo based on the reviews. They’ve got amazing reviews for a reason.
Wonderful experience for my husband and our 3 children, from the beginning to the end. Everything was perfect. 3 days of discovering .. the guide was so cool and professional. Winnie with who I organized from France was always available for us. Accommodation and the lodge were included and it was super. I recommend this agency, very honest. Thanks again for all.
It has been a unique and unforgettable experience that will remain imprinted in our hearts for a lifetime. Tanzania has gifted us with unforgettable emotions through its colors, breathtaking landscapes, its people and their culture, its boundless parks, and its animals. All of this was made possible thanks to our expert and special guide, William, who made us feel at home right from the start. We spent 3 wonderful days! Always available, caring, kind, and ready to fulfill every single request, William allowed us to see and capture the most beautiful shots of the animals in the park; it was truly fantastic! Thanks to you, William, our first Safari was a magical and spectacular journey. Thank you wholeheartedly, Will, for everything, and especially for allowing us to live this beautiful experience; you will always remain in our hearts, and we hope to see you again very soon! We are happy to have found a guide and a friend like you!
We felt safe and comfortable from the very first moment that William, our safari guide, picked us up at our hotel. Also Isaya has been very kind in helping us before arriving in Tanzania! We booked a 3 days safari but although the shortness of trip, the tour operators made the unpossible to let us see all the animals in one game drive only! Specifically William was super friendly and helped us with everything unrelated with the tour.. we call him as a friend by now.. thank you for making our stay unforgettable!
My family and I have just done a 3 day safari in Selous with Isaya. We had a fantastic time. The boat safari was very relaxing and we were able to get very close to lots of hippos. The following day we did a 12 hour jeep safari- Isaya was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife. We saw many animals - starting as soon as we entered the park. The final day we did a walking safari where we learnt all about the local tribes - the guide was v entertaining. The accommodation and meals were great too.
