Zanzibar Sunrise At Bandas

We had such an amazing stay at Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every single member of the team made us feel so welcome. A special thank you to Saif, who greeted us on our first day with such kindness and warmth. He helped us settle in, made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us all the information to make the most of our stay. Irina was incredibly helpful in organizing our tours and even helped us extend our stay because we loved the hotel so much. She made everything so easy and stress-free. Farah was an absolute pleasure to chat with! She shared so many great recommendations about Zanzibar, the best activities to do, and told us more about the island and its culture. She also helped with our booking and organized a lovely anniversary surprise for us, which made our stay even more special. A huge thank you to Mr. G at the bar. He welcomed us every day with the biggest smile, was always cheerful, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. His positive energy made every visit to the bar even more enjoyable. We also want to recognize all the other staff members whose names we unfortunately didn’t catch. Every single person we met was kind, friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. You can really feel how much they care about their guests, and that made all the difference. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax, but what truly makes Zanzibar Sunrise so special is its people. Thank you all for making our anniversary trip so memorable. We would absolutely love to come back one day!

Stayed for three nights and didn’t want to leave! Everyone was kind and helpful, and Farrah’s yoga was amazing. We loved the food, especially that you can eat breakfast at any time. And the views from the bungalows cannot be beat. Highly recommend

I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Bandas, and what stood out the most was their exceptional service and hospitality. From the moment I booked my room, the team was incredibly proactive. The reception ladies, Hegra and Irene, were very helpful, polite, and friendly throughout my stay. Shortly after my reservation, they emailed me detailed information about the documents I would need for my trip. While I had already prepared some of them, they also informed me about the travel insurance requirement, which I honestly would not have known about otherwise. That level of care and attention was truly impressive. They also provided a complete guide to the hotel’s services, including food and beverage menus, spa treatments, prices, and available tours and activities. I stayed at several hotels during my time in Zanzibar, and Sunrise Bandas was the only one that provided such detailed and useful information before my arrival. The restaurant and bar staff were equally amazing. Everyone was polite, professional, and welcoming. A special mention goes to Devi, one of the waiters, who was always kind, attentive, and smiling. He made every dining experience enjoyable. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ji, the bartender, who was friendly, entertaining, and always made guests feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The entire property has a stunning tropical atmosphere with a relaxed beach-bohemian charm that perfectly suits Zanzibar. During my stay, I experienced a few minor room issues. However, what impressed me most was how quickly and efficiently the team responded. Whenever I contacted reception via WhatsApp, they addressed the matter immediately. On one occasion, while I was having a meal, a staff member even came to my table to personally confirm that the issue had already been resolved. That level of communication and follow-up was outstanding. Overall, Sunrise Bandas exceeded my expectations. The combination of beautiful surroundings, attentive staff, and genuine hospitality made my stay memorable. If I return to Zanzibar in the future, I would not hesitate to stay at Sunrise Bandas again. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable.

Our experience was completely perfect! We spent 2 nights there for our honeymoon trip to Tanzania, and we were amazed by every single detail. To begin with, the location is superb right in front of an endless beach. The staff were really kind, very attentive and they offered daily free activities like yoga or a reef walk. Last but not least, the food was delicious, simple recipies but excellent products! We will be back, no doubt :)
