We booked out the entire villa for the weekend for our wedding. Even though we did not use a wedding planner, Zoe helped provide me with all the information I needed in order to plan it myself. The venue also went above and beyond to build an arch for us out of palm leaves and then cover it with white fabric. They also provided chairs for the ceremony which they also wrapped with white fabric. The also wrapped 2 of the pillars with white fabric and put up a bunch of fairy lights on the roof of the porch. They also provided us with fake pink flowers that we could use as we needed. All of this really helped to give the venue that wedding vibe we were after. The staff were also very friendly and helpful although communication in English was a bit of a struggle at times. I don't know if it was because we were such a large group but ordering food was also a bit tricky as it took over an hour for the food to arrive and also breakfast orders were often a mess (got different things than what was ordered, they couldn't remember who ordered what, and also took some time to get the food). Other than that, we loved every minute of our stay there and had a beautiful wedding! Would 100% recommend staying here.
Very nice place for relaxing,ive been staying here for couple of time, and it's always a great experience,the place was so good for walking by the beach when its low tide, the breeze was so good, nice and good place to unwind,the staff was so nice and accommodating, the room,the food was perfect.drinking coffee in the morning with the fresh air from the sea...
Very remote and private small resort on Zanzibar. The host and staff were incredibly friendly and gracious throughout the whole stay. We were the only guests during our visit and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite things about the stay. The views were incredible and the landscaping was immaculate.
The rooms were very clean and Amena cleaned them everyday. I did see some reviews before booking that the place was run down, and I couldn't disagree more.
Villa Fleur de Lys was a beautiful place and met all our needs for a good rest in a paradise feel location. The staff is so amazing and kind. The place is very clean and up to date. We were all very comfortable and satisfied with our stay. Highly recommend.
Management is great! Service is great! Staff is great! Kitchen is great! Garden is great! Location is great - a bit off the main road, so it's quiet and you kind of have your own beach. All 7 rooms have sea view with balcony or veranda, there are two small pools, a fire place, a outdoor bar and a fun area in the villa: pool billiard, table tennis, table soccer, dart and a few gym machines.
One huge down, hopefully just during our weekend: there was barely running water, you had to catch the right moment to have a shower. This has to be fixed before we would come again.
