The Zanzibari

The best hotel on Zanzibar! We are so happy with our stay at Zanzibari Hotel! The staff and service was outstanding, especially Rose who made sure that we had the best stay. The restaurant and pool area was perfect and we truly loved our villa! Would definitely recommend staying at Zanzibari Hotel if you’re in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at the Zanzibari. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The staff is so kind. John at reception and Elizabeth in the dining room kept us throughout our stay. We REALLY appreciated being able to get into our room early after an extremely early morning flight! I definitely recommend staying here. Can also walk to the turtle sanctuary from here.

Room was an odd setup, but the AC was fierce. Rest of the facility was great, with an excellent setup. Nice little saltwater pool. Sandy area with chairs. Outdoor spacious restaurant. Front desk provided great service. Location on the north shore was a bit isolated, but I liked that.

Unfortunately the management of the hotel is misrepresenting the level of service and the quality of the hotel. This is not a $400/night experience : the water is dangerously hot, the rooms are still being built, there is no connection, the light is still preventing people from sleep - even though this has been reported numerous times, the hotel just does not care. Avoid going, it’s a scam! The hotel will deny everything but if you check other guests comments you will see same issues have been reported in the past.
