Perfectly situated on the beach facing sunrises. There's always a breeze, making it easy to tolerate hot temperatures, laid back and relaxed, with only 17 rooms it feels comfy and cozy. The, pool, beach, bar and restaurant are ideal for staying in. 1h from stone town and 5 minutes Taxi ride to the town of bustling town of Paje, it was an ideal relaxing holiday place for our family of 4.
The plan was to stay for just one night and see how things went, but from the moment we walked in, it already felt like coming home. We were welcomed with the warmest, most genuine smiles by Cristina and Filomena, who immediately made us feel comfortable and right at home. They gave us a tour of the property, and before we had even finished exploring, we had already decided to extend our stay. The place is incredibly charming, peaceful, and full of character. It opens right onto a stunning beach, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. What was supposed to be a one-night stay turned into four amazing days, and we loved every minute of it. Each day was exactly what we had hoped for in a holiday: slow mornings, beautiful views, relaxing by the beach, chatting with the locals, and enjoying the wonderful hospitality. The service was consistently excellent, and everyone made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. This place truly exceeded our expectations, and leaving was the hardest part. I already miss Dorikas, the sweet little Maasai girl who always greeted us with the biggest smile. She was so friendly, kind, and full of warmth, and she made our stay even more special.

From the very first moment, we were greeted with a lovely welcome by a trainee who guided us through the property with great care, setting the tone for a stay defined by kindness and joy. The accommodations in the main building were a haven of comfort. Our room on the upper floor was pleasantly quiet and well-sized, featuring a remarkably cozy bed and excellent air conditioning that ensured total relaxation. What makes this place stand out, however, is the people. Whether it’s the management, the maintenance crew, or the service staff, everyone treats you with a sincere smile and a proactive spirit. Any request is met with an immediate and heartfelt "can-do" attitude. The culinary experience is a true highlight. Breakfast is a daily celebration, starting with beautifully presented fresh fruit, followed by the aroma of homemade bread and a superb à la carte selection. The coffee is top-tier, and the freshly squeezed juices are refreshing and vibrant. Every meal is served with such a lovely, personal touch that it feels like being cared for by friends. We want to extend a special thank you to Vee, George, and the entire team. Their warm-hearted nature and lovely personalities made our visit unforgettable. There was absolutely nothing to fault; every detail was executed to perfection, that’s why we extended our stay for one Night. If you are looking for a place where you are not just a guest but truly cherished, this is it.
We had a wonderful stay at Sahari and felt at home from the moment we arrived. The staff are exceptionally friendly; we’ve honestly never experienced anything like it. It often felt more like spending time with friends than with hotel staff, especially when we played cornhole together. We even joined some of the team on excursions, which made everything feel extra personal. Everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. Breakfast at the restaurant was a highlight each morning, with delicious local treats and an à la carte menu for extra options. The food throughout the day and evening was so good that you could happily spend your entire stay without leaving the resort. At the end of our stay, the team surprised us with a private dinner on the beach. It was set up so beautifully that it nearly felt like a proposal moment. This thoughtful gesture summed up the spirit of the place: genuine hospitality, care and joy. There’s also plenty to do. You can book almost any excursion you could wish for directly through the hotel, which makes it so easy to plan your days. We joined a cocktail workshop that was great fun, and although we skipped the Swahili cooking class at the time (I have to admit I regret not doing it) Sahari truly captures the soul of Zanzibar and the feeling of home.
