The reception staff is awesome, especially Jessica and Anna. Do not take shisha at fisherman’s. It is not possible to smoke it. Tabac is very bad. The breakfast is the same everyday and selection is poor. Special thanks to eggs station, it is possible to eat the eggs, and to the chef due to his personal attention to guests when he is out of the kitchen. Rooms are tired enough. There was broken bed in our room, mattress is also old enough. Getting towels is always a competition. You should remind them to bring towels every day… Staff makes this place better than it is. Management must take care of the hotel renovation. Then it will be 5 star Marriott hotel worthing it’s money. There are enough places to eat in the neighborhood if you choose between BB and HB/AI.

A massive shout-out to the front desk team, and a special thank you to Evans! His genuine passion for sharing the island's rich history brought so much life to our trip—he even convinced us to take a tour of Prison Island, which was a highlight. We also want to commend the wonderful bar staff for their warmth and relentless hard work. They consistently made sure our time was relaxing and pleasant. Thank you all for the extraordinary hospitality and attention to detail. We are heading home with wonderful memories and will genuinely miss you. For sure, the greatest gift of Tanzania is its people!

Located on the quieter side of Nungwi Beach, Turaco Resort was the perfect spot for us. The staff were so kind and made our stay super fun and relaxing. We were able to make the most of the daily breakfast and also book tours directly from the resort. Being on the calmer side of Nungwi Beach, you also get to experience a local side of the island away from too many tourist crowds or beach sellers.

Beautiful hotel with excellent customer care We experienced a couple of minor issues during our stay, such as no cold water from the bathroom tap and a telephone that was not working. However, as soon as we spoke with the Customer Manager, everything was addressed and resolved immediately. We also received a lovely gesture from the hotel, accompanied by a thoughtful handwritten message. This made us feel genuinely listened to and cared for. For us, this is what great hospitality is all about: problems can happen, but the way they are handled makes all the difference. Congratulations to the entire hotel team for their professionalism, attention and kindness. A beautiful hotel and a very positive experience overall!
