We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as a family of 4 at La Perla for 10 days. What a lovely time we had from the moment we arrived. Jamil and the staff over exceeded our expectations. They were attentive to all our wants and needs. Never a dull moment with the friendly staff, delicious food and fantastic views. The surprise entertainment was enjoyed by both young and old. A perfect place for families or if you just need to relax from all the hustle and bustle of life. Our daughters received a lovely message and breakfast take away on route to the airport. This was very thoughtful and highly appreciated. Thank you so much and may we see you soon Inshallah.

A wonderfully quiet and relaxing beachfront hotel with an excellent swimming pool. The front terrace is lined with plenty of sun loungers, all enjoying lovely sea views, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, featuring big beds, effective air conditioning, and good, reliable showers. Worth noting that the hotel doesn't serve alcohol, but this is easily sorted as there are other hotels just a two-minute walk away where you can grab a drink. One other thing to know before you arrive, and it's no fault of the hotel, is that the public beach can be a challenge. You'll be approached frequently by beach vendors the moment you step onto the sand, and the shoreline itself suffers from litter, with plastic a common sight. The good news is that La Perla works hard to keep its own stretch of beach clean and tidy, and the effort really shows. If you go knowing what to expect from the surrounding beach, you'll find the hotel itself a genuine pleasure: peaceful, well kept, and great value for a restful stay.
I recently visited La Perla Resort with my wife and children for a family vacation and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived everything exceeded our expectations. The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury and affordability, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was exceptional, the staff was professional and courteous, and the overall ambiance was calm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The beach view was absolutely breathtaking and truly unmatched. My wife and children thoroughly enjoyed every moment and we created some unforgettable family memories during our stay. We had an amazing time and will definitely be visiting again in the future. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
I visited La Perla Resort with my wife and our experience was excellent. We spent 2 days and 2 nights there. The ambiance was absolutely amazing and the food was high quality and delicious. We enjoyed the beach point the most. The staff was very friendly and the overall environment felt just like home. We will definitely come back here again in the future.
I don’t like to leave negative reviews and only do it when the there is no other way to communicate but to write the review. As a small boutique agency, we’ve booked 7 rooms in La Perla for first few days of our trip in Tanzania. On arrival I found out that there is a construction right on the beach and the noise and smell was coming to the hotel. (I believe I should have been informed about this in advance). Considering that the situation is out of hands of the management I will skip this part, but as an agent I was put in a very uncomfortable position to apologize to my tourists who were not able to relax and had to experience all of it. The noise was there most of the time, including New Year’s Eve, and 7:30 am on the Jan 1st. But the main issue that made me to write such a lengthy review is the manager’s attitude. Starting with me trying to resolve an issue with my AC and chasing him half of the day (after a sleepless night from arrival). At some point he just slammed the door showing that he was tired of going with me to the second-floor multiple times to check the room (as I was not!) Together with that I had to make sure that all the rooms that were allocated to my group had ac properly working. With the change in attitude, he still helped me. After that we started to discuss the new year's eve where he was trying to convince me that everyone will sleep early and we HAVE to celebrate New year early. On the New Years eve itself at 23:40 our group was asked to move a table since they had to use those tables for breakfast! 20 minutes before NEW YEAR! At some point he just started to avoid me, and I had to seek for help from the other staff members to get things done. This is the most unprofessional behaviour of the manager I’ve ever faced in my life. And I do travel to countries way poorer than Tanzania, but even in Madagascar people at least were trying to be helpful! Here I faced with an attitude to the extent that all tourists could see it + they also said that my name was regularly mentioned around. Once we were leaving, he didn’t even come out to say goodbye to tourist (I am not talking about myself in this case). Additionally, he was trying to charge me for the early check in (mentioning that he just will charge for the electricity that was used. I was trying to explain that those things should have been communicated in advance and if there were a charge I would have informed tourists before). It was impossible to communicate at some point as it felt like we speak different languages even though never had issues in communicating with people around the world. Breakfast choice is very poor too and if you stay more than a few days you simply get tired of it. There were many other things that I just don’t want to mention here, but as an agent I had to go through hell with trying to maintain the positive atmosphere in the group when being completely ignored by the manager. On the other side I would like to thank staff as they were very sweet and helpful. I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in Zanzibar since it was my third time there, but I've never experienced anything like that. On the same trip in the hotel of the same price we’ve got completely different service and people were happy, so it is not about difficulties of business in Zanzibar (the main excuse that I was getting from the manger), but a poor management.
