Kiwengwa Beach Resort

This was not my first stay at a five-star hotel; however, the beach service at this hotel fell far below the standards I have come to expect from establishments of this category. I find this situation absolutely unacceptable, and it significantly spoiled our stay. The staff responsible for beach service did not assist guests as they should have. On the contrary, they made guests’ experience considerably more difficult and unpleasant. Every morning, very early, they reserved all the front-row sunbeds on the beach and allowed only those guests who paid them to use these places. Such conduct is completely unacceptable at a hotel that claims to offer a five-star standard of service. I raised this issue directly with the beach supervisor. Unfortunately, instead of taking my complaint seriously or making any effort to resolve the situation, he failed to take any action and simply responded with laughter. This reaction was particularly disappointing and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and respect for hotel guests. This situation had a profoundly negative impact on our entire stay. In my opinion, this behaviour is incompatible with the standards one has every right to expect from a five-star hotel. I consider this matter extremely serious, and it significantly undermined our overall experience at the hotel.

Wonderful Stay at Kiwengwa Beach Resort! We had a wonderful experience at Kiwengwa Beach Resort! Beautiful surroundings, a lovely beach, and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A special thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

We had a beautiful 2 week stay at Kiwengwa Beach Resort. It’s a beautiful hotel and every single member of staff is so friendly and welcoming - ‘Jambo!’ The food was lovely, great range and choice and the African and Seafood restaurants were particularly delicious - a real treat. The bar area was spacious and relaxed with diverse entertainment every night - something for everyone. The pools were beautiful. The crab pool - outside our room - is saltwater. The main pool had daily organised activities - water polo; aqua etc which were lots of fun. There are also lots of other organised activities to get involved with. The gym was well equipped. If you’re on all-inclusive, the staff will prepare a plentiful breakfast box to take out on any excursions you are doing. The beach and the sea are stunning! We found our rooms lovely and relaxing and the air con was great. The free WiFi worked well across the whole hotel including the rooms. We loved our stay and wish we were still there!!!.
