Our stay at Clove was amazing! The hotel room is one of the nicest we stayed in, it was immaculate and very clean. The two pools and sunbed area are perfect for chilling out, the food is great and some of the best we had in Tanzania & Zanzibar. The breakfast buffet was a highlight for us! The hotel are creative with ways to entertain guests with different events on each day such as live music, taco night etc and Julie made a card game of a questions to ask your partner on different subjects, it was perfect addition to a romantic dinner! The staff are amazing, special shout outs to Julie, Megan and Rosie who helped with any out of the ordinary requests we had. My wife fell ill and the staff were very accommodating and made sure she had everything she needed. I would recommend getting a massage at the spa whilst staying here, as we had a lovely couples massage which was very relaxing. Overall, we loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Matemwe.

Paradise on Earth! We had such a lovely stay at Clove Island. Olena and Miroslav were incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming, and really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We loved everything about our stay, the beautiful location, the incredible breakfast and especially the pool. The staff were all fantastic and the service throughout our stay was excellent. We also did the spice tour at Ali’s Acre, which Olena suggested was super fun and interesting and definitely worth doing. The cooking class they recommended was also fantastic it’s a on a real farm and you can pick your own veg— we really enjoyed it. We stayed in a studio, which was perfect for us, especially with kids. Having a cooker in the studio was a really useful touch and made things much easier. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Clove Island to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!
Had an amazing time at Clove Island. The whole place is just pure peace and quiet, the pool overlooking the ocean is gorgeous, and the team there makes you feel right at home from day one. Can't wait to return.
We stayed here for two nights. The staff were nice. The food was good. The rooms were great. Nice and quiet. Overall it was great stay. Away from everything though. And drinking water costs money - otherwise nice place. We recommend
We stayed at Clove Island Villas & Spa in Zanzibar for four nights and had such a wonderful, relaxing experience. Our apartment overlooked both the pool and the beach, which made it the perfect place to unwind. Waking up each morning to the most incredible sunrise directly from the bed or our balcony was absolutely magical. The whole place has a really calm, chilled atmosphere. It’s peaceful and quiet, making it ideal if you want to completely switch off and enjoy the surroundings. The service throughout our stay was excellent the staff were warm, attentive, and always happy to help. We also really appreciated the evening turndown service, which was a lovely touch at the end of each day. The food was fantastic, especially the breakfasts which were huge and delicious. The daily fresh juices are an absolute must and a perfect way to start the day. The resort also offers a huge variety of activities if you want to explore the island from snorkeling and mangrove tours to spice farm visits and trips to Stone Town, plus many more options. One of our favourite things was simply strolling along the beautiful beach and diving into the warm, crystal-clear waters. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and you can truly relax. We would absolutely recommend Clove Island Villas & Spa to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Zanzibar.
