We had the experience of a lifetime. A two-day and one-night trip to desert because we were short on time but it was all we could have wished for. Quad (4x4) ride through the dunes, sleeping under the stars, watching the sun rise in the dunes, playing music with the camp team at night. We arranged for different length journey because of our time constraints with their help. They even took us to Tamegrout on the way back! They are truly wonderful and welcoming, genuinely good Moroccan people. Already wish to go back for a longer stay. Much love from Portugal. 🇵🇹

It was really amazing, everything was just right. An hour camer ride was just perfect. Driver was very friendly! Totally worth it! Recomend!
Very nice experience, long trip to the Sahara desert but worth it! Clean stay, nice food and great camel ride with local berbers.
We had a very nice expirince in and out the sahara, we went together with zagoro desert travel very nice people they really do there best to make the trip a good trip for you. They have a lot of exprince, and a very nice group. We met with rachid hicham and beladi mohammed was or driver. Thanks for the great trip😁😁
When I arrived in Zagora, I found a comfortable accommodation (paradis touraeg), where I got a good offer for a day trip with camel ride from Ismael. We drove with a grand taxi (35Dirham) around 45min to the village, where the tour begun. The camel ride needs around one hour through the desert, the dunes wasn’t spectacularly, but we had a great sunset and sunrise there. Isn’t season now in morocco, just few tourists there and I could spend the night under the stars. What I missed was an english speaker and a campfire, but in the Ramadan the people are to exhausted. But in all I had a great experience my first time in the Sahara desert. Cheers
We (4 adults) planned a trip to Zagora while exploring Morocco with a small aircraft. As weather is not always stable, Ismael agreed nonetheless to make preparations for our tour despite the chance we wouldn’t make it to Zagora. Luckily we made it and were picked up by our nice guide Rashid and the skilled driver Ali with a very comfortable 4x4 car. It sported also a fridge with cold water at all times. They were very flexible with our demands to stop and eat and so on and drove us into the Sahara desert to a camp with a short stop at an interesting Berber village and pottery (also a guided short tour) and a detour to some palm plantage. On the way we learned a lot about the culture from our guide. We had the so-called „luxury tent“, we didn‘t know what to expect - but it was luxury indeed with very comfortable beds, nice furniture, a bathroom with shower and toilet. At first the electricity was broken for the whole camp but they fixed that later. We did than an 1hr camel trip which was amazing - also with a friendly camel guide into the wonderful sunset. Later dinner with several courses of typical Marocco dishes was served. The planned music session after was canceled unfortunately because other guests decided to go to sleep very early. But the silence helped to enjoy the desert under the starlit breathtaking night sky. We slept very well, had been offered a good breakfast and a flawless trip back with some further places like a carpet manufacturer in a nice Berber village. We recommend wholeheartedly this agency and the trip into the desert from Zagora.
Great experience We were both with elhoussin, very intimate and welcoming camp, we eat well, the musicians are at the top Total confidence
Very good day trip + overnight stay in the desert. Sunset on the Erg Chegaga was magical. Elhoussin was very good driver and pleasant attendant
A wonderful day spent with Hassan who made us discover the road to the desert with many interesting stops. We then benefited from his knowledge of the desert to allow us to live a beautiful day with him. Discovering the desert and the dunes was superb. What kindness and generosity in sharing knowledge. Hassan is very generous and exciting.
Incredible organization and very competent staff. Eat well and yurt very beautiful. No offense, I'll be back.
Superb trip with an expert guide with good knowledge of the area, friendly and professional, like all the staff. Excellent lunch and dromedary ride. To do
we spent a night in the bivouac with a camel walk. Beautiful scenery, superb sunset walk. relaxation, quiet, no noise, beautiful colors. driver, mouloud, driving professional in the desert. very nice. smain and Ali and choumada, the camel. very nice. And last but not least, Rachid, the leader of the trailer, always helpful. Everyone who came home is so attentive to us.
Traveling to the Zagora Desert from Marrakech has been an unforgettable experience. Unforgettable for the beauty of the landscape we find on arrival, the starry sky and the calm of the desert (even though we knew it is a much smaller desert than Merzouga). Unforgettable also because of the heavy travel (8-10 hours) to which is added the continued attempt to get you a little more money at each stop. We booked the trip in advance. It cost us 75€. In the minibus we met people who had paid 55 and up to 50€ hiring in their hotel or riad. So first notice: if you can, HIRE HIM THERE. Don’t worry about whether one Enterprise or another will be better or worse, in the end, they all work with the same Bus Enterprise. About private car tours I can no longer have my say. The prices do not usually include food during the journey and at the different stops, they take you to eat at places previously agreed by them, where they serve you menus of 120-150 dirhams (12-15€), a very high price in Morocco, where you can eat for 5-6€ quietly. Some places where they also seem to be in a hurry for you to leave (they expect more groups to arrive) and do not treat you very well (rare thing in Morocco where everyone is usually friendly and hospitable). Second tip: don’t follow the guide on duty for lunch, explore a bit and save money. Finally, I don’t know what it will be like in Merzouga, but in Zagora the Berbers who received us in the camp seemed a little tired of their work with the tourists. If you’re expecting a warm welcome, an unforgettable dinner full of flavor and a nightly party on top, it’s not what you’ll find. Everything is prepared and timed to spend the minimum and to bother you little. In conclusion: I think the best way to visit the desert is on your own if you have a chance. Rent a car and follow the route that marks google maps. The roads aren't as bad as you'll be led to believe, a lot of mountain bend, yes, but in good condition. You'll stop where you want and see and eat what you want. If you can’t and hire a tour, don’t hire it beforehand. Ask at your accommodation and NEGOTIATE. I don't know what private tours are like, but if you hire a group tour, be prepared to have your rooms taken out whenever you can. If you finally reach the desert, you can see the beauty of the barren landscape and sleep in the open under a sky full of stars.
Very good experience, and very good treatment by the workers, very cheap. With thoughts of coming back.
