At 9 o'clock in the morning, we meet at the bivouac to get to know each other and organize the loading of the camels. When everything is ready, the caravan sets off for this first day of trekking. About 5 hours of walking per day (20 km), a good lunch break to eat and rest. In the evening, the guide and the cook set up camp for the night and prepare a substantial meal for us. During 3 days, our journey takes us through varied landscapes and terrains. Walking in these large open spaces, the simplicity of life in a bivouac, immersion in nature and the silence of the desert are an experience often described as deeply refreshing. On the evening of the 3rd day, we arrive at the magnificent site of the large dunes of Chegaga where we can climb to admire the sunset. The next day, the 4x4 picks us up for the return trip. In 3 hours, we make the route of our three days of walking in the opposite direction and discover the landscape in a different way. At the bivouac a hot shower and a last midday meal await us. End of stay, goodbye and thank you all.
Pascale scheduled a great tour for us--we chose Berber accomodations and the man running the camp was wonderful; he provided simple, delicious food (and made rice for me when I was sick.) Pascale provided a great packing list and although it was a lot of time in the car from Marrakech, the Chegaga dunes were beautiful.
Mubarak organised us a, fantastic trip to some beautiful sand dunes around 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours walking with camels. We put up two tents and had a delicious tagine dinner and fruit and sat around the fire with our two guides Mbrek and Ayoub. They were very kind and we had a fantastic time with our 4 year old daughter it was an amazing experience for all of us even though it was just for one night in the desert. We slept amongst the dunes, trees and plants and enjoyed the walk very much. Our little daughter sat on the blue eyed camel Azulwad for the 2 hr and loved every minute! We thoroughly recommend this experience if you are looking for a peaceful and truly authentic adventure into the Sahara.

Ibrahim and Atman took us out into the Sahara. If you want a touristy thing, go somewhere else. If you want the absolute real deal (authentic food and tea, not another soul in sight besides some wild camels, 3 nights of watching the stars), this is the trek for you
Had an amazing stay at bivouac sahara peace, thank you Moubarak. Its a remote and magical place. We stayed 1 night at the Bivouac before doing a trek with overnight camping in the desert with Atman. Atman is a quiet but really nice guy who took good care of us.Atman is responsible for the camels, which he took really good care of. After our day and night with Atman, Moubarak picked us up in his 4x4 to go to Erg Chigaga, we stayed in a nice glamping. I can’t recommend this place enough its a must see. Moubarak is a fair guy and the prices for everything we did are really fair, very good service and everything was included. After Erg chigaga Moubarak dropped us off again at the shared taxi. When we came to his place he had even arranged a shared taxi that picked us up at out hotel in Ouarzazate. I would come here again! Thank you Moubarak and the team!
Super nice tour that shows you the real Sahara experience. The guide is very involved with the locals and introduced us to local cooperatives. The guide communicates very fluently in French and English, drove us from Marrakech via a scenic route, stopping at lesser known views and places. Finally, hedropped us of at any place we preferred at the end of the trip. The food was excellent and the bedrooms, bathroom, showers were very clean. He was very helpfull and gave us advice for the rest of our journey in Morroco. I did the tour 2 times and both were immaculate (first time romantic with a girlfriend, 1 time with a group of friends) A wonderful experience we would definitely recommend and book again.
Fantastic tour with Mubarak in M'Hamid and Erg Chigaga desert. We took a beautiful walk on sunset time with the dromedary until Mubarak's family camp, had very tasty food with the locals all the time and watched the beautiful stars at night. The people are very genuine and hospitable. Recommend this 100% to anyone looking for a real experience without lots of tourism.
We left for a night in Erg Lihoudi, reaching it after 2-3 walk, with dromedaries carrying all the necessary for the night. It's a rustic way of sleeping under the stars and one I will never forget! From when Mubarak picked us up all through the time at base camp and in the desert, we (2 females) felt safe, welcome, and in very good hands. Muhammed who took care of the animals also was a great companion, kindness showing despite the language barrier. And it was nice to have a good conversation with Pascale who worked at base camp. Would definitely recommend and may go again for a longer trip!

Even if on this 28/03/26 the improbable happened with the storms that caused the start route to be turned upside down. The water stopped us in the desert. My trek in the Moroccan desert with my 4 teenagers was an unforgettable experience, marked by the kindness, the warm welcome and the remarkable professionalism of Moubarak, Hassan, Brahim and the entire team. Great discovery of the Sahara Peace fixed bivouac where I slept the first night, before starting a 5-day trek in the Moroccan desert. Great welcome from Pascale and the men of the desert, all in friendliness and sharing. Top organization and tasty meals. A timeless break that allowed me to reconnect with the essentials.
It was a unique experience that we had. The welcome is warm, the departure into the desert with the camels is moving. The guides are attentive and very experienced. They have Berber GPS! Walk in the morning and late afternoon. They cook Tagine, Berber omelette, soup in the middle of the desert around mint tea! The bivouac consists of small mattresses and blankets on the large mat. Everyone brings their own sleeping bag. There is the Berber fire of course under the celestial vault! Exceptional experience for discovering the desert of sands, dunes and desert of red-brown stones. I recommend to everyone. It is not a sporty walk but a contemplative one, accompanied by camels. Go for it! Take the plunge, you will come back different.

Second time at the bivouac for me, I had come two days in December and I had fallen in love with the place, the desert intoxicates you and plunges you into a rhythm so special, so soothing for the heart and mind. I wanted to come back to it for a while. This time I stayed a week and went on a three-day trek in the desert with Atmen, the guide who works for the Sahara peace bivouac. Two camels accompanied us. All the people who work here are of rare generosity, they transmit to you this rare and clean energy of the desert. Memories for life. Thank you.
Excellent stay in the company of the excellent team of Sahara Peace, hospitality and benevolence are at the rendezvous, the cuisine is excellent, the camels always there to provide Service during the trek. Change of scenery in this vast desert to find yourself in a masterful silence far from the night pollution of our cities... I had a pleasant time and it will be a great pleasure to come back to this excellent setting when I return to Morocco.

Very nice adventure where you dive directly into the world of the Tuaregs. The dunes of Chgaga are fantastic. The bivouacs of Sahara Peace are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms worthy of a 3 star hotel. Guide and attentive staff, friendly , always available and smiling. I kept a very good memory of the desert trek it was like a dream crossing with the camels. I thought the animators took good care of us! Very good organization. Camping in the middle of the sand dunes was a great experience. The songs around the fire are magical moments. What an unforgettable trip nothing to say!
