We had a delightful & conscientious guide that checked in prior to the tour & assisted us with a cooking class post tour. She was familiar with locals & added sampling of items that increased our knowledge of the area.

This tour was just awesome. Our guide Dorja was fabulous. She knows how to be a tour guide. Just the right amount of history, at a great pace, and super friendly. Her English was excellent and we could easily understand her. The walking tour did not feel too long and hit all the spots. Had a couple of samples along the way. I wish she had done all the tours while we were in Croatia because she was by far the best one. And we did 4 ports of Croatia!
Doria (sp?) was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend her. We opted for this instead of Viking excursion and we were completely satisfied.
Very informative tour, yes you can find all the sites without a tour. That is like walking around blind, you see things, but don't have the back ground information. This tour is well worth the money, very informative.
Dorja was our guide and gave us a great review of Zadar’s history as we made our way thru Old Town. She was very knowledgeable and made our tour interesting. She gave us recommendations for places to eat and things to do while in Zadar. Highly recommend this tour.
You cannot miss Zadar. Make time to listen to the sea organ. The tour was very good and the guide excellent.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the region in general, and Zadar in particular. My only suggestion would be a headset. There were maybe 15 in our group and at times I couldn't hear what the guide was saying.
Lots of walking. No place to sit. No toilet breaks. Lots of information about the history and town. Beautiful city,l and scenery.
We were told a pick up time and port / didn’t get picked up - missed the tour and then got a very rude email from the guide. Didn’t get a refund either. Very disappointed.
Dorja was a terrific guide! She was a wealth of historical knowledge and gave us a great understanding of all the beautiful sites we saw. She moved at a perfect pace and her tour was well worth it!
Very informative guide who gave us a very good insight into the history and culture of Zadar. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our Guide spent a lot of time talking about her personal political beliefs and disappointment with what is happening in the area. Removing that issue, I learned a lot about the town and seeing the sites.
Dorja was full of information from centuries ago to the present. She also answered our questions about local life. We enjoyed her talk and walk very much.
Our Guide was outstanding, she was extremely knowledgeable and her information was relevant. I our guide was Daria (sp?)
Relaxed and not rushed, seeing the main attractions of Zadar in a concise but well thought out route.
We enjoyed this old historic city charm on an amazing tour. Woth our fantastic guide we were educated with a lot of Zadar's past. Highly recommend this adventure.
Doria was an enthusiastic ambassador for Zadar and Croatia. She was very knowledgeable and spent the 2 hours of our tour guiding us through the many periods of Zadar history. Glad we booked her.
The tour covered a relatively-small area, just the old-town area on the little peninsula where the cruise terminal is. Our guide, Dorja, was a font of information about the WW2 damage the area sustained, and also the ruins of what was once a Roman marketplace, among other landmarks. She also took us to shops to sample cherry liqueurs and local cheeses, and generally made some real (and successful) efforts to give us a realistic feel for the town in the 2 hours she had with us. Her English was very good; we had no trouble understanding her. We highly recommend her.
Having a tour guide that is a native local is the way to go. Dorja was very well informed of every site we saw, and also took us to a few local shops and suggested local spots to try for meals of local dishes.
Our guide was wonderful! She spoke fluent English which was a plus for us and very knowledgeable on the city and its history
Very informative, covering very much of Zadar old city history. Friendly tour guide with wealth of information. Includes food and drink topics also.
Dorja kept us moving. We covered lots of ground and time periods. Got a taste of cherry liqueur and local sheep milk cheese. She answered all our questions and added personal interesting stories about her grandparents who were local.
Excellent guide Dorja in Zadar. Very informative and interesting - easy to follow and gave us lots of useful information. She had a great sense of humour
Was a great way to see the city and learn about its history. Siena was a knowledgeable guide who was passionate about the city
Great overview of the history of Zadar from our guide whose family lived it. Beautiful walk and insight on the city, culture, shopping and food. Just the right amount of time.
We had such a good time on this tour - learning about history, seeing Roman artifacts, tasting maraschino liquor, and watching the sunset at the Sea Organ and Salutation to the Sun. Our guide was well-informed, engaging, and fun. We highly recommend this tour!
Dorja was very organized and helpful, and wrote to confirm whether I needed transportation to Old Town. That prompted me to confirm where my ship was docking, and I did in fact need transportation! She provided very clear instructions where and when to meet the driver. As the tour guide, she provided an excellent overview of the history of the old town and got us back to the ship on time! We got to sample some local maraska (cherry liquor) and some sheep cheese, both of which we delicious.
Dorja was absolutely fantastic - she blended history of the region with a locals perspective in an incredible way. Very friendly and with a great sense of humor, I have such an appreciation for Zadar now. Thank you, and I hope the knee gets better!
Our walking tour with Dorja was fantastic! She guided us to all the sites and loved to share the history of her city. The tastings were a special treat. If in Zadar book a tour with Dorja!
The Zadar City Walking Tour began by the Sea Organ and we worked our way to the other end of town. Our tour guide told us about the history of Zadar and described the sites. Interesting input as she grew up in Zadar and offered personal insights. Also had a couple of surprise stops on the way.
We had to cancel the tour the morning of the tour. My husband came down sick I want to say the communication with Dorja was excellent. She helped me prior to the tour with pictures of the car picking us up port side plus more. The responses concerning us canceling at the last minute were prompt and well meaning. We were disappointed not to be able to tour but I would not hesitate to book again if we ever get back.
This 2 hour walking tour was full of interesting facts and history of Zadar. Our guide, Dorja, was knowledgeable and friendly. She took her time to answer all of our questions. We covered most of old town. We had a small cheese and marrichino wine tasting. I would recommend this tour with Dorja.
The tour was very interesting, we learned a lot not only about the history of Zadar but also about its people. Our guide was very entertaining and got us to taste local delicacies. I would 100% recommend if you would like to know more about the history of this place.
Doria is incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture and architecture of Croatia. Highly recommend not missing this tour.
Wonderful guided tour with Doria. Lots of historic information as well as information about everyday life today in Zadar.
Dorja was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the sites and history of Zadar. Transfers to and from cruise terminal were well organized.
The tour was super informative! I would have never imagined the rich history of Zadar, but Dorja really brought it to life! The pace was perfect. Walk a little, listen a little. :) We enjoyed the cheese and maraschino liquor tastings. Nice touch! It was a little over 2 hours well spent! Please note if you are on a cruise ship, taking an Uber to the meeting point is the cheapest option. We took the 11:00 tour but then went back close to sunset to see the Greeting to the Sun in action. Spectacular!
I’ve been on many excursions and this tour is the only tour that left you behind. At pick up we messaged we could not find them and said where we were outside the Port. The response we got was “Hurry” after finding out our guide left us we decided to take a taxi to catch up. Unfortunately the taxi driver knew our predicament and took advantage of us gouging the cost and wanting cash only once we caught up. Once with our tour we found out the others were from the same port-so why would looking for us be a problem? I was hoping for an acknowledgment from the tour guide- did not get one. Not even a glad you found us. When the tour was over we were asked if we wanted to go back to the port now (1:30pm) or walk around town and get picked up at 3:00pm? We said we would like to be picked up at 3:00pm and the guide told us to be exactly where we were a little before 3:00pm. We were 20 minutes early and at 3:30pm ended up calling for another taxi. Again tried to contact the company and had no answer. On every excursion someone tends to be late for many reason; making a purchase, using the toilet, or even getting lost. I have never been on an excursion where the guide decides to leave their guest behind, especially knowing we were waiting for them.
Dorija was a fantastic guide, passionate about her city of Zadar. She provided us with a great deal of knowledge and facts about the history and points of interest. This tour is well worth doing
Dorja is an excellent guide. She brought us to many interesting sites, answered many of our questions and shared from her own personal experience growing up in Zadar. We also got to taste cheese & cherry liquor!
Excellent guide, knowledgeable and easily communicated cultural, ethnic and religious history. She was easy to hear, kept the pace right for seniors and brought life to Zadar’s past
Great walking tour. Guide was very informative. 2 hours was the perfect length. Enjoyed learning the history of the area.
Very informative tour of the history of Zadar. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke clearly in English
Dorja was an awesome tour guide. She packed so much information in to this terrific city tour and was so relatable. I learned so much about Zadar and its history. 2 hours seemed just right and the price was more than reasonable. Highly recommend!
Loads of information and history of zardar. What a fountain of knowledge our guide Doris is. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour
This was a fantastic tour. Our guide was very informative, did a great job teaching us the history of Zadar and Croatia. I highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the the tour of Zadar with our guide Ivan. He is very knowledgeable and his presentation was very clear. The included tasting of maraschino liqueur and cheeses were a nice addition also. Would recommend this tour.
Zadar proved to be an unexpected treasure to visit. The new Hyatt Regency is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beautiful styling , well thought out bedrooms and bathrooms. Fun ride in the rowboat for 2 euros to the Old Town, which is mostly flat with marble walkways. Lots of Roman ruins, beautiful archeological museum. Lots of shops along wide and narrow lanes. The "Sea Organ" along the Riva is a technological marvel, as is the Led lights tribute to the sun. Lots of great restaurants. Zadar is a terrific city to visit along the Dalmatian Coast.
Our guide, Dorija , was very knowledgeable about each of the specific sites that we visited on our to tour of “old town” Zadar. She took her time and our tour never felt rushed. She interspersed historical information with commentary on contemporary life in Zadar. The tour was quite an enjoyable experience.
Very informative tour from Darija! She was full of knowledge of Zadar including all its rich layered history! It never felt rushed and even went into overtime. We are very glad we spent part of our day doing this!
