Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera

Fantastic hotel, outstanding staff & wonderful food We are currently staying at the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera and are really enjoying every day here. The absolute highlight is the staff – exceptionally friendly, attentive and professional. We were particularly impressed by the many young, highly motivated team members who genuinely seem to enjoy what they are doing. Always a smile, always helpful, and a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. The food is excellent, with a special mention for the Bracera restaurant. Great quality, beautifully prepared dishes and excellent service – definitely one of our highlights. Our room itself is perhaps a little simple for a hotel of this category, but this is more than compensated for by the huge balcony (around 3 × 5 m) and the absolutely fantastic sea view, exactly as we had requested. Waking up to this view over the Adriatic is simply wonderful. Yes, the Iadera is not inexpensive – but you get what you pay for: a fantastic seaside location, excellent food, great facilities and, above all, a truly outstanding team. We feel extremely comfortable here and would definitely come back.

The hotel itself was decent, although the staff could be better trained and some details like obtaining towels could be easier. It’s worth mentioning also that, in addition to those details mentioned earlier, the lights at the sports center shouldn’t get turned off at 12 pm… That said, I have to point out the excellent work of the Fortis team— Alexa, Jakov, Miško and Andrej. That team of 4 was wonderful. They were always helpful, professional, and went out of their way to assist whenever I needed something.

A wonderful hotel with a large, well-maintained property, a pleasant atmosphere, and a high level of service. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We especially enjoyed the spa, and the Thai massage was truly professional and very relaxing — highly recommended! The only minor drawbacks were the rather limited dinner selection and the high prices in the restaurants and for additional services. Some areas and details of the hotel could also benefit from renovation. Overall, however, we had a very positive experience and are happy to give it five stars.

I am extremely disappointed by my experience with this hotel. We visited the hotel’s beach as paying external guests. As we were leaving, a member of the hotel’s security staff physically assaulted a woman in our group with such force that she fell to the ground. The situation was so serious that we had to call the police, who came to resolve the incident. What was even more shocking was the hotel’s response. We immediately reported what had happened to the reception, but the hotel took no action, showed no concern, and made no effort to address such unacceptable behavior. I have never felt so unsafe in a place associated with a hotel. What makes this even more disappointing is that I was previously a guest at the same hotel brand in Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic and had a positive experience, so I expected a completely different standard of professionalism and guest care. No one should have to worry about their safety when visiting a hotel or its facilities. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place. If this is how the hotel handles such a serious incident involving its own security staff, it raises serious concerns about guest safety and management’s responsibility.
