I appreciated the artisanship represented in this shop and the hand craftsmanship. Jose did a lovely job coaching me through the tasting so I could appreciate the flavor profiles. And the flavors and mouth feel were very different from the big industry mezcal picked up in the airport. Definitely worth a stop!

This is not your odinary bar. It is more an experience. First you get shown an art collections with beautiful pieces ranging from toys to kitchenware to jewelery. Our guide Maria was very helpful in showing us everything and explaning the history. Afterwards you can, if you want, go for a Tequila/Mezqal/Mexican Wine Tasting. Very recommended.
Really beautiful with unique pieces made in Mexico. Gabby, our guide, was great and gave us lots of information on the pieces. Wish we had more time to spend.
We wanted to get a bottle of mezcal as a gift and ended up at this place . It was a lovely experience to walk round the art rooms . We were guided by Jose who was very attentive and helpful with the mezcal selection . He was very patient and could give us valuable advice in assisting us to choose the mescal . Worth the visit !
Gabby gave me a lovely tour of the art gallery and Fede gave me a tour of the mezcal and liquor part. They are so lovely and welcoming! The art is beautiful and the alcohol is tasty 😋 PS. My favorite was oaximo coffee - wish I could take a box home!
Very impressive art collection, it's all for sale but very worth going to take a look at. Mezcal tasting at the end was very good, Federico explained it very well in English for us
Mezcal tasting and the art gallery was absolutely stellar! Absolutely will come back and everyone who is visiting should come here as well - well worth every penny! Manuel & Arturo had top notch quality service!
Had a nice time seeing the very impressive art for sale as well as the mezcal tasting which was superb. I do wish we had been able to take a bottle with us. Laureano was a good and patient guide for the tasting.
Such a neat place and great experience! We had Arturo as our guide for all the beautiful art and jewelry, he was very sweet and helpful. Sergio assisted in our mezcal tasting, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved Xoul:)
A hidden gem and a must. We happened upon Xoul when we saw 'Art + Mexcal' and were in for an absolute treat. Eva gave us a private and detailed walk through the incredible art by local artists (paintings, pottery, glass, jewellery and more). Then Serjio guided us through a great introduction into mezcal where we got 3 samples of our choice of 14 and a cocktail for a very reasonable £12. The gallery and bar are exquisite and it was tough to pull us away. We will probably be back again before we leave Valladolid....
Gorgeous colonial space restored to host a finely curated collection of the best Mexican art highliting the individual story behind these multi generational master artists. All the pieces are esquisit. Not the usuall repetitive cheap crafts you find all over Chichen Itza or other tourist traps. These are masterpieces. One of a kind. We did the walk though with explanation and then had the mezcal tasting that was esquisit. Very unique, delicious and varied. All based on máster mezcaleros and wild varietals, carefully produced based on the tradition of each village or region. The cocktail after the tasting was yummy and the host explained the mezcal very well. We loved our visit and will definitely come back for more. My wife found a very nice necklace and I want to come back fror an alebrije I loved. If you are short on time this is a one stop for the best craft to take home. Would highly recommend. There is also a small cafe with delicious pastry and melipona honey
Very pleasant experience. The museum/shop area is very nice with artisanal products specific to Mexico. The mezcal tasting part was great with the explanations on how to taste, as well as on the mezcals (production and the different notes). A big thank you to José, Andy, and Félix for the guidance throughout the experience. I highly recommend it.
Very polite and competent staff. The gallery is stunning, and the wine and mezcal I was able to taste were fabulous. Felix, the waiter, had profound expertise. Anytime again :)
We loved visiting Xoul. Gaby gave us a very friendly and detailed guide to the different Mexican exhibitions and artists. First-rate crafts. It is very worth visiting this place if you are in Valladolid.
Visit of the gallery very interesting with Mafer who explained to us in a funny and lively way Mexican art and crafts! We loved it! Thanks to Mafer:)
I had the good fortune to spend a nice afternoon of mezcal and art thanks to Gabi and José. If you want a 100% mezcalera experience this is without a doubt. José guided us through each tasting with great detail and professionalism. Although we had no idea mezcal is was a nice experience to spend the afternoon. We thought we were going to go to a mezcal tasting with drink combination, what we found was pure mezcal... It is important to eat well before or book in a good restaurant when leaving, wey farts will go well. What's for sure is that you're gonna have a lot of fun with mother. After enjoying the mezcals, we discovered different techniques and pieces by local artists, (jewellery, ceramics, minerals...) with the careful guidance of Gabi. It was an excellent guide that allowed us to know in depth the art of the Yucatec artisans. . P.S. They will give you a combination of mezcal, the best you can have.
We found this place walking. Inside it is full of really well made craft pieces, great if you want to find something unique. You can also have a tasting of mezcal or tequila. Josè is very prepared and managed to meet our requests. During the tasting he guided us clearly and precisely. The outdoor garden is very relaxing and everyone was kind and hospitable. I recommend it
Beautiful place, very rich drinks. Thanks Fede!!! Excellent explanation and tour. It's a place to visit
We made the turibus and in the end we were left in the gallery where we were offered a free lemonade as a hook to enter. They have many beautiful artemexican pieces but what captivated us was the mezcal experience. For a good price they offer you tests of different mezcales and the best thing is that they give you a detailed explanation of the plant, the process, the master mezcalero and sommelier. It is definitely worth paying for that extra experience. The very attentive boys, excellent service from Federico our mezcalier.
Very good experience both the visit and the mezcal with Federico Great tour with nice context and first-rate explanations
We got a little tour of the exhibition and then did a mezcal tasting with Frederico. He has met our taste very well with his recommendations. All exhibits are beautiful! If you want to bring something special from your holiday, you can find it here.
Wonderful place and knowing more art and culture of Mexico and above all supporting the creators of the works is amazing. Gener explains the whole tour and gives you a friendly tour
I would like to express my admiration for the traditional craftsmanship on display at Xoul. The alebrijes are of exceptional quality, and the variety of mezcal, together with the history of each agave, make Xoul a truly unique concept in Valladolid. In addition, I want to highlight the extraordinary attention I received from Eva and her team. His passion and knowledge made the tour an informative and enriching experience.
We loved the experience of visiting, touring the national art, and to taste mezcals so rich and unique. Thanks to Arturo and Manuel for their attention. The experience was too unique. Thank you!
Great experience, selection of the best of rich Mexican craftsmanship. Very nice unique pieces. And the tour ends with a mezcal tasting... Just unforgettable Thank you again for your welcome
We came to try some mezcals, but we took the opportunity to take a tour of the Galeria which is really STUNNING. The tasting of the mezcal then was amazing, there are two options: either from 3 + a cocktail or from 5 + a cocktail. We tried the 3 (for 300 pesos) being in two we were then able to try 6 different mezcals: the guy explained each flavor, each producer, accompanying us in the tasting with a lot of experience. The inner garden is lovely and little frequented (we were alone!) Really nice and recommended!
Amazing place! With Mexican art at a very good price, with parking and clean bathrooms. I recommend trying mezcales
