Our private tour to Chichén Itzá with Alex was amazing! He was friendly, informative, and made the history come alive. The early start let us enjoy the site before the crowds, and everything was perfectly organized. Highly recommended!
Well worth the early wake up to beat the crowds and the heat! Our tour guide, Rosendo, was brilliant. Knowledgable, interesting, clear and kind. We rode in a comfortable minivan with airconditioning and the driving was safe. On the way back we were driven by car since we weren’t carrying onto the other places on the long tour. While the tour itself was great, we were disappointed with the tour company messaging us less than 24 hours before the start saying they didn’t have availability for the express tour as we were the only 2 who had booked it, wanting us to join onto the full day tour. They made it clear they wouldn’t charge us extra (although we would have had to pay more for cenote entrances) although it seemed like the full day tour looked cheaper than the express tour regardless… We had specifically booked the express tour as we didn’t want a 12 hour day going to so many different places in 35° heat. We were then scrambling around trying to find somebody else to take us as it was going to be our last day in Merida and we were desperate to see Chichen’Itza. I asked them for a refund but they didn’t reply to me for a long time, leaving us a stressful few hours of not being able to book another driver without refund confirmation from them. After a few hours they said that luckily 2 other people had booked onto the tour so they could take us as planned in the end. However when we spoke to the other couple on the express tour the next day, they told us they had booked it weeks ago. Overall a great tour but it’s a shame the company lacked professionalism the day before.
Good.p tour with my interesting insights hto Chichen Itza. Guide was flexible and dropped me at the Tren Maya station.
Expect a wonderful time. Our guide took care of my needs from start to finish. Rosendo was marvelous, the whole tour took place with the punctuality of a German train schedule, but was as forgiving as Hawaiiian Time when the need arose. Rosendo speaks perfect English and also French, and he’s very passionate and knowledgeable about Mayan culture and history. I can highly recommend this tour.
My tour to Chichen was canceled due to protests but was assigned to another one to Ek Balam and honestly I'm glad it went that way. Rosendo was an incredible tour guide. He was very patient and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend booking with this company :)
Freddy and his driver provided a great tour experience. Even though we met very early (6:00am) I believe it was well worth it to get to Chichen Itzá as it was just opening for the day. Freddy gave a fantastic presentation in the van before arriving about the history of Chichen Itzá which made being on site even more incredible. Highly recommend this tour if you have plans for later in the day. We had a wedding rehearsal to get to so this is was a great option to have in the morning. It was also nice to be part of a small tour group (4 people) compared to the large cruise tour groups we saw.
Freddy and his assistant were delightfully engaging with the talent to convey their in-depth knowledge while keeping it light and entertaining. The temple of Chichen Itza was wonder to dwell inside with the ancients. But the Cenote was the jewel of the day. Taking the early start tour at 6:00AM was a defiantly a benefit. We arrived before the heat of the day as well as the incoming tour buses of tourists. They kept us one step ahead. They accommodated the very young to the other end of the spectrum. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend anyone with an interest in ancient history not to miss this tour.
Our guide Freddy gave us a fascinating master class on Maya culture and ingenuity before we even arrived at Chichen Itza. Our group ranged from 8 to 66 in age, and everyone was engaged. We were well prepared to understand what we saw once we arrived. If you book this tour, ask to go with Freddy. We got there before the crowds and left before the hoards from the cruise ships. It was amazing!
Great guide 👍 so friendly and knowledgeable but too many people; Although much more difficult enjoy UZMAL more because not many tourists.
Enjoyed the visit to Chichen Itza. We did not want to extend the day trip to 12 hours with the other offerings so pleased we could just do this & return to Merida.
Great tour without all the add ons - it was half day from Merida - spent 2 hours on site which was perfect! Early morning departure - worth it was very hot by the time we left the site around 11 am. Guide was knowledgeable. Well worth the visit - lots of vendors inside which is unfortunate . Tour operator was ok - contacted us day before saying we were only 2 people on express tour and could not deliver they wanted to put us in full day which we turned down as we were not interested in other activities - asked for reimbursement - in the end they agreed to take us and bring us back as we had originally booked.
This tour was an awesome way to see Chichen Itza if you’re short on time! We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made it super easy for our large group. Special shoutout to Freddy, whose interactive presentation of Chichen Itza’s history on the van ride was much appreciated!
The 6am departure meant we arrived before the heat of the day. Julian was an expert guide, providing context and insights.
We had a great tour with Freddy and Diego! Freddy provided amazing content and made the experience so fun. 10/10 recommended this group!
Freddy and Abram did a great job. Freddy's explanations and more fact based telling of traditions was valuable and appreciated.
I personally really liked the express tour as all I wanted to do was visit Chichen Itza and I did not need all the other excursions that most of the other tours provided as well. Resando was a perfect tour guide and I highly recommend everyone get a guide like him as I learned so much fascinating information. It would not have been the same experience without a guide.
This was a great way to see the site as getting there early before the heat and the crowds is the way to do it. The pick up location was super convenient. Don’t let the early start time put you off.
Julian was very knowledgeable and going to the Chichen Itza with him was very educational. I don’t know a lot about the history here and this was an amazing trip. Highly recommended.
This tour was excellent! The early morning departure gave us the opportunity to see the site before the crowds arrived, and they did! It was a foggy morning and we left the site as the sun had broken through and was heating things up. Our guide, Rosendo, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. We would highly recommend this tour.
This was a great way to see the site on a limited schedule. Rosendo and Abraham were fun and very informative.
Chichén Itzá was amazing. Glad we chose to see it site. Our tour guides Rosendo and Freddy were fantastic. Had so much knowledge of the site and Mayan history.
So glad we went early in the morning - we beat the crowds and the heat! Our guide Rosendo was amazing - very friendly and knowledgeable!
Great experience our tour Guide Carlos from Guias de Yucatán was awesome patient and very knowledgeable.
Excellent tour! Very knowledgeable guides and they made travel very easy and flexible including dropping us off right at the airport on the return trip. Highly recommended and completely worth it to get the most out of being there.
Rosendo was a great guide - very accommodating, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about chichen itza and Mayan culture. He was very happy to answer questions and the whole tour went very smoothly
Awesome tour, highly recommend + our guide Rosendo P. was very helpful, informative, and kind to us all since there was a mix of English and Spanish speakers. Gracias Rosendo por todo!! 🙌🏽
Such a great experience! Pick up was early in the morning which is convenient regarding the heat and the amount of other tourists. Julian was a great guide with a lot of relevant explanations that he told us troughout the site in a vivid and fun way. Would highly recommend!!
I can honestly say I had the most incredible day! Julian our guide was wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable and great company. He was very passionate about Chichén Itza and taught us a lot - great at answering any questions. The cenote was absolutely beautiful and we had more than enough time to swim and eat. Neither place felt like we had too little or too much time. Definitely book with this operator, you’ll have a great experience! Thank you Julian ☺️
Tour was very informative and professional. Our guide was accommodating and made sure we had the best experience possible at--what could have been--an overcrowded tourist spot. Getting up early was worth it!
David, our guide, was wonderfully informative and the small group of 4 was very nice as was the air conditioning in the comfortable vehicle
Loved the excursion to Chichen Itza. Our guide Freddy and driver Efrain were great. Freddy was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our tour because of him. He had great suggestions. We wanted a short tour since we had our granddaughter and it was perfect. It was also at a perfect time where it was early with not a lot of people.
The tour was good but not great. Good - we left early at 6am to miss the crowds. Chichen itza was quietish. The cenotes and the yellow city was good. Lunch was good. A small friendly group. The guide spoke clearly in English and Spanish and was informative. Not good - although it probably said in the info we seemed to be paying a lot for entry to all the places. The tour guide slept for around 3 hours throughout the day while we travelled from place to place. A bit of snoozing is fine but it seemed excessive. He kept the change when we booked into one venue. My friend asked for hers back later in the day on principle. It was only around 28 pesos each but it didn’t seem particularly honest.
Freddie was a fantastic tour guide, telling us the history of the Mayan civilisation in a fun and interesting way. We learned a lot and enjoyed the fact that the tour focused on Chichen Itza with no other unnecessary distractions, meaning we returned to Merida by 13:00. Great for those short on time or (like us) who just wanted to visit the site and learn about the history. Highly recommended.
The guide David E. Garcia brought the whole tour to the next level. He was very informative, and funny. He provided a lot on information on mayan culture and history. Give this man a raise! The pace of the tour did not feel rushed and there is time to walk the site on your own. What I also appreciate is there no additional side quests to other tourist sites which I am not interested in, you literally go to Chichen itza and back to Merida.
Our guide was Freddy, who gave our group a thorough history of the Mayan culture and history. We started early in the morning to avoid all the crowds, which was great. Already in the car Freddy gave us some basic information about the mayans, which made it easier for us to remember the information and also understand why Chichén Itza is such a special place. Warmly recommend this tour. Five stars for Freddy!
Definitely worth getting up early for. We had to get up before 5am in order to be at the meeting point at 6am. Arrived just before 8am but there were already a lot of people queuing up for tickets. If you brought cash, the tour guide could get group tickets for us while we used the bathroom & bought coffee (very convenient). Tour guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour very much. When we left around 10:30am, the amount of people waiting to get in was more than double. So glad we came early to avoid the crowds. Happy experience.
Very good experience; Freddy and Abraham were very good hosts and guides throughout the trip, quite professional, and their knowledge and passion for the places visited were quite evident.
Excellent. Freddy is an excellent guide, he gave us a lot of very interesting information before we got to the site. It made a big difference to be able to appreciate what we were visiting. Highly recommended. Thank you very much
They are attentive, friendly and timely, and transmit their knowledge not only of the Archaeological areas, but also that I walk to them they talk more about Merida, the small Mayan communities, about their food, their flora and fauna, the very comfortable transport, their planning very well done, so that you are of the first people to enter and avoid crowds. Which leads you to experience the true essence of the place and to be talked about envelops you more in the atmosphere of discovery and awe a great experience that leaves my heart full of beautiful emotions and mind of wonderful memories. You can go alone as a couple as a family are excellent I don't regret going with them I took 4 tours and all amazing went through us early to be the first to enter and in most we were the only ones to be there which made it even more amazing to have such wonderful paradises for one only more than 5 stars were won 🌟 when I go again without a doubt they are my only option to know amazing places.
Very nice to visit as a family don't forget to bring your blocker or umbrella don't forget to visit the small places around
Super recommended... Almost personalized experiences. Amazing attention. Suggestion, switch buffets on the chichen tour.
