Eco Safari Through The Ria Lagartos Natural Park

We absolutely loved this experience! Our guide was incredibly kind, friendly and caring throughout the entire trip. He constantly checked if we were arriving safely and if everything was going well, making sure we felt comfortable and taken care of at all times. He explained everything really well and was genuinely so nice. We saw flamingos, crocodiles and many other beautiful birds, which made the experience even more special. Thank you so much for such a wonderful adventure and for taking such great care of us! Highly recommended!

Uriel was amazing! He's very empathetic towards nature and animals. His love for Rio Lagartos cannot be measured. He's passionate and loves what he does for living. He took us to a well hidden spot where other commercials tours do not take you. This helped us get an up close view of Flamingos and Crocodiles. I cannot recommend this your enough! It was greatly worth it!

Uriel.was a very knowledgeable guide able to share lots of information along the route . His knowledge of both Spanish and English was perfect! He was very patient and spent much time with the flamingos, sharing his considerable knowledge of their habits.

Uriel was awesome and super friendly. We had a great time out on the water with him—he really knows his stuff but keeps it very laid back. You can tell he actually cares about the animals and isn't just rushing through to get the tour over with. Even though it was cloudy and really windy during our trip, we still managed to see a crocodile, flamingos, and tons of other birds. It’s his own company and he speaks great English (which he actually learned from his clients over the years!). He doesn't just see you as a tourist; he truly treats you like a friend. I am honored to have become his new 'friend' from Edmonton! He just made the whole experience easy and fun. Definitely recommend him!

Very good experience, boat tour allowing to see flamingos, crocodiles and some other birds, mangrova, and Las coloradas. Also we can have a little time to relax and swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Uriel was very friendly, and took time to explain and show many things

If you want a tour for enjoying al the nature of the Rio Lagartos reserve; Uriël is your perfect guide. It is clear he knows a lot about the flora and fauna of the region. His English is great; and he gives you an amazing experience. We thougt it was totally worth the money.

I just had an excellent trip this morning with Angel. He spoke great English, talked knowledgeably about the area and the wildlife and stopped to show us flamingos, crocodiles and birds. It was a beautiful 3 hours at sunrise. He was polite and kind throughout.

Angel has proven an expierienced guide with a love for nature ! Thanx to his good senses, we had dates with two crocodiles, one old and big (and not hungry), the other a teenager who took a dive when coming close … We also had an awesome moment, when a huge flock of flamingos took flight at their home sea ! The tour was great. The guide was on time outside our hotel and he was very friendly. He also knew a lot about the area and the fauna and flora nearby. Answered to all our questions and gave us extra explanations. Will definitely recommend to do the tour with these guys. Thanks.

We found Angel through our hotel and we couldn't be happier about this choice. Angel is a very sweet, young guide that has patient, knowledge and is willing to do the extra mile for his guests's happiness. We spent 3 hours in the Biosphere, we saw crocs, flamingos, many birds, we did the clay bath (maya bath) and a quick dip in the water. Angel explained a lot of things about mangroves and the whole ecosystem and this has been one of the highlights of our trip for my kids. He also let "drive" my kids his boat :-D Highly reccommend it!

The trip was beautifull. We spotted lots of birds and 2 crocodiles. Our friendly guide Angel could tell is a lot about the mangroves. If you love nature you should go with biofriends.

We had a great tour with Uriel. Hé spotted a lot of birds and crocodils. He speaks also english and gives a good explenation. We have seen a big group of flamingo’s. We loved it!

Had a boat ride with Yuri this week (didn't catch your name exactly there mate) and it was an amazing experience! We were guided by the boat captains and had a great time sailing through the mangroves of Rio Lagartos. Would definitely recommend! For nature lovers this is a must-do experience.

What a great experience in the beautiful biosphera of Rio Lagartos. Angel takes enough time to explain everything you encounter (birds, mangrove, …) and also highlights the importance of being eco sustainable! Cherry on the cake were 3 close encounters with crocodiles! We love it!

Lovely boat trip through the mangrove. Truly a beautiful piece of nature with many different birds, fish and also crocodiles. The Biofriends guide speaks good English and knows a lot about nature and the animals. He also took the time for us, the tour lasted almost 3.5 hours instead of the planned 2.5 hours.

It was the best experience of our stay in Yucatan! Uriel, our guide is available and very passionate! Context: we came at the end of March so low tourist period. We enjoyed having a boat just for us, it made the moment all the more pleasant. We were able to see crocodiles and various birds, including pelicans very close! Un tour très agréable avec Angel, un guide compétent et sympathique! Il y avait peu de flamants roses à cette période mais nous avons aussi vu des crocodiles, d'autres oiseaux, passé un moment dans la mangrove... Angel est aussi volontaire pour la protection des tortues qui pondent à proximité. Ne manquez pas de passer aussi à son excellent petit café (Áak Káapej Bistro & Café) à Rio Lagartos également !

Ich habe sowohl eine Tour in die Mangroven mit Uriel als auch eine Stargazing-Tour mit Angel gemacht. Beide Touren waren wundervoll, beide Guides sind sehr professionell und haben ein breitgefächertes Wissen. Sie sind sehr darum bemüht, so wenig wie möglich in die Natur einzugreifen, was sie sicher von vielen anderen Guides unterscheidet. Ich kann die BioFriends nur empfehlen und werde bei meinem nächsten Besuch bestimmt wieder eine ihrer Tours buchen!

Angel est un guide passionné et soucieux de l’environnement dans lequel il travail. Il ne jette pas de poissons aux mouettes pour amuser les touristes mais il vous apprend énormément de choses sur les crocodiles, les flamants roses et autres oiseaux vivants à Rio Lagartos. Il connaît ces animaux par coeur et vous partage son savoir avec enthousiasme. Nous avons pu approcher les crocodiles de très près. C’est la meilleure activité que nous ayons fait durant notre séjour, nous la recommandons sans aucune hésitation !

El Eco Safari que nos ofreció Uriel fue muy impresionante. Como sabe mucho sobre el ecosistema y su flora y fauna, el tour no solo permite vistas fascinantes, sino también transmite mucha información. Vimos a los flamingos caribeños y cocodrilos moreletii y diferentes aves desde muy cerca! Después del tour Uriel nos invitó a una terraza dónde él y su grupo tocaron unos boleros. Muy buena experiencia, recomendable 100%. Die Eco Safari, die wir mit Uriel gemacht haben, war beeindruckend. Er weiß sehr viel über das Ökosystem und dessen Flora und Fauna, sodass die Tour nicht nur faszinierende Aussichten bot, sondern auch sehr informativ war. Wir haben Flamingos, Krokodile und verschiedene Vögel ganz aus der Nähe gesehen! Nach der Tour hat und Uriel zu einer Perfomance seiner Band eingeladen, die boleros gespielt hat. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich sehr empfehlen kann!

Met ons gezin van vier een boottocht door de mangrove van Rio Lagartos gedaan. Wat ons opviel was de passie van onze gids voor bescherming van de natuur. Hij wil zijn klanten echt iets bijbrengen rondom duurzaamheid, klimaatverandering en natuurbescherming. Omdat we allemaal ons eigen steentje (hoe klein ook) kunnen bijdragen. De mangrove met vele soorten vogels (o.a. de flamingo's) is prachtig, net als het dorpje.

Increíble lo que vivimos, los guías muy profesionales pero sobre todo entregados y enamorados de su lugar, 100% lo recomiendo, estos son tours donde su costo se entiende por su calidad!!

Oriol es guía muy atención y sabe mucho sobre la flora y la fauna de la zona. Sin duda volveríamos a repetir con él.

De tour was prachtig. Angèl spreekt heel goed engels en wist ons heel veel te vertellen over de omgeving. Op alle vragen had hij een antwoord! Wat wij ook bijzonder vonden was dat hij zo veel waarde hecht aan het behoud van de natuur en zo goed omgaat met de natuur en de dieren. We hebben een geweldige tour gehad en raden Biofriends zeker aan!

Une superbe expérience avec Angel. On a pu voir crocodiles et flamands roses, sans oublier tous les oiseaux qui composent ce parc naturel. Le bain d'argile à la fin est vraiment sympa 😊 Je recommande d'y aller le matin au levé du soleil pour profiter au maximum. Le prix est correct pour la qualité du service (nous étions les seuls à bord).

Angel was onze gids. Een jonge vent met oog voor de natuur en het behoud ervan. Weet met veel passie en enthousiasme te vertellen over de mangrove en de dieren die er leven. Leuk om te doen met jonge en oudere kinderen

Met ons gezin, een hele leuke en leerzame toch gehad door de mangrove van Rio Lagartos. Muriel sprak prima Engels en kent nu ook wat woorden Nederlands. Mooi om te zien dat ze niet alleen een gids zijn die wat dieren laat zien maar hij probeert je ook echt wat te leren. We hadden ook nog eens geluk met vogels, flamingo's en twee krokodillen. Maar alles keurig op afstand om de natuur te respecteren. Absoluut een aanrader.

Super ontvangen door deze enthousiaste jonge kerel. Hij nam overal ruim de tijd voor. Wat vooral erg leuk was dat hij vaak vroeg hoe bepaalde dingen in het Engels genoemd werden. Erg leergierig dus. Tevens hem gaan volgen op instagram waar die zelfgemaakte natuur foto's plaatst.

Uriel es un excelente guía con sentido de servicio y muy buen humor. Nos divertimos mucho en el paseo, pudimos tener la lancha para nosotros y se ve que estudia e investiga mucho del tema. Creo que si contratas sus servicios tambien te la pasaras muy bien!

Nos encantó la experiencia! Hicieron el tour de forma súper ecológica, sin molestar a los animales y aprendiendo de ellos en su hábitat natural. Ángel, nuestro guía, nos habló tanto de la fauna como de la flora. Vimos cocodrilos, flamencos y un montón de aves. Repetiría la experiencia con ellos, sin duda.

Los chicos son amables y puntuales. Hicieron de mi experiencia en Rio Lagartos una aventura natural muy buena. Han tomado cursos y saben muchas cosas de área. Recomendable.
