This particular tour was over 14 plus hrs, so plan for that. The Mayan lunch was nice and informative.

Great experience, booked premier. Guide Hector and Victor were awesome. Picked us up from our hotel around 7 AM and dropped us back at 10 PM. Hector told us about Mayan history. Vus was very comfortable. Overall great experience
It’s a full and long day. Wear comfortable shoes, bring effective bug spray, and carry some extra snacks with you. Don’t expect an in-depth history or whole walkthrough experience at Chitchen Itzá. The tour guide is great and knowledgeable but you’ll only get a chance to truly see the main attractions: pyramid and ball court.
Although the process of getting onto the bus and our experience at the actual sites we went to was great. The company that is responsible for the experience has a LOT of flaws. First make sure you bring lots of cash because a lot of the things you need to pay for are not included. Once you get to the Cenote they just let you loose and don’t give you any instructions and everyone there is so rude. You’ll need to buy your locker pass in the front where you walk in not at the actual lockers. We spent 30 minutes trying to figure that out and our guide was nowhere to be found to ask:(. We got to swim for max ten minutes before it was time to hurry up and get ready to get back to the bus. Finally, the alcohol bottle that is very nice souvenir that they will sell you on the bus with your picture on it is very cute indeed. BUT SECURITY CHECKPOINT WILL MAKE YOU THROW IT OUT. Our guide lied to us and told us there will be no issue getting it back to America. He indeed lied. Really upsetting because it wasn’t cheap and we wanted to take our unique souvenir back :/. All in all I think you could find a better experience to visit the beautiful place.
This is my second time taking this trip. This one is pretty much exactly the same as the last one I did 10yrs ago. U can pretty much book from anywhere and u will end up on the same bus(if it has buffet included). Our biggest issue is that yhe whole tour/announcements were in Spanish because the majority of customers r Hispanic. For the remaining 25% non-spanish speakers, u just have to guess and keep ur fingers crossed for the departure time. The majority of our time on the bus is in silence meaning that the guide totally can repeat the same info in English but he choose not to. Otherwise, its a good deal of u want to go visit chichen Itza and a cenote.
Great tour of Chichén Itzá, very knowledgeable tour guide. Enjoyed lunch and cenote. Although could have used more time at the crnote
Tour was interesting. However, the drinks were not good. There is no unlimited premium open bar. We received two cups of juice and they added tequila to it. We were picked up at 744am and dropped off at 1030pm. This tour is many hours. I would recommend but you may be better off taking the basic package. Lunch was also horrible.
I would definitely recommend this trip if you want to get an authentic Mayan and Mexico cultural experience.
The places we visited on this tour were amazing, although the tour between each places was slightly rushed and not enough time allowed to buy things and sightsee while at Chichén itzá. The lunch buffet should be done after Chichén Itzá as to much time was spent here and walking through Chichén in the middle of the day versus the morning makes all the difference as it’s extremely hot and humid afternoon. They charged us $970pesos per person on the bus for taxes, Chichén itzá, life jacket rental, cenote. They charged everyone the same including children, seniors and Mexican nationals even though seniors and children under 3 enter Chichén Itzá free on Sunday and Mexican nationals get a discount to enter as well on this day. Transparency about this up front would have been helpful as I was traveling with a group of 16. I did not like the constant need to take videos or photos of the group which they said was needed to show there internal company
Awesome full-day trip! I was picked up from Cancun, and there's lots of hotels that they will pick you up from. Comfortable ride with A/C. The bus was a little later than the expected time, but that doesn't really bother me given the price. Also they kept me updated via WhatsApp. Itinerary: 1: Kaua. Food and souvenirs - Lots of sales pitches, but it's whatever if you don't really care about souvenirs. Included buffet had great food and service! 2: Chichen Itza! Amazing history, great sights, and PLENTY of vendors to dodge. Again, if you don't care about souvenirs, just keep walking. Not too much time to roam here but it was enough, with good explanations from our guide. ~$50 for entry, collected on the bus. 3. Cenote Saamal. Beautiful! Very refreshing after a hot stroll through Chichen Itza. Roughly $10 for locker/required life jacket. 4. Valladolid. Neat little city, pretty architecture. Only stopped about 30 minutes so it's enough for food or quick views/souvenirs. Roberto is a hilarious and fantastic guide. Luna was communicative for the pickup. And Reynaldo was a great driver. All-in-all, GREAT trip for $25 (plus additional $$ for activities).
A full day of wonderful sightseeing experiences! The tour was perfectly curated and well worth the trip. Our group leaders, Charlie, Christian, and Porfidio, were incredibly informative and perfect hosts. The air conditioning on the bus kept us cool in the hot weather, and both the guided tour and cenote experience were fantastic. The included lunch buffet was a perfect addition. You simply won’t find an all-day tour at this price with so much included. It was absolutely worth it! Thank you for an unforgettable day!
⭐ 1/5 — Very disappointing customer service. I booked a tour with this company and unfortunately lost my camera in one of the cenotes. At first, they offered to help bring the camera back with one of their next tours if it was recovered. The cenote staff then gave me the contact information of a diver and told me to speak with him directly, so I simply followed their instructions. After I contacted the diver, the company suddenly withdrew its previous offer to help transport the camera, saying that everything now had to be handled directly with the cenote and diver. I never asked the company to take responsibility for losing my camera or for the recovery itself. I was only asking them to honor the simple help they had already offered—bringing it back with a tour that was going to the same cenote anyway. What disappointed me most was how quickly their willingness to help disappeared. It left me with the impression that customer service and helping tourists only goes so far when there is no additional payment involved. A good tour company should not only care about customers while they are paying for the tour, but also show some goodwill when something unexpected happens. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion of the company. I expected much better customer service and would think twice before booking with them again.
Pick up on time and transfer to big coach seamless It’s a very long way on the coach at least 3 hours but Robert, Christian and team kept us entertained and informed on the Mayan culture Chichen Itzá was awesome and our guide amazing - it’s a must see The Cenote was also unbelievable (not cold!) and like watching TV All in all an amazing day but it did last 15 hours so be prepared
José Luis, Charlie, and Reynaldo were all an awesome team. Tour is long but one of the best ways to see a bit of everything. We started in the City of Valladolid, then over to gift shop/lunch, followed by Chichen Itza, and then Cenote Saamal. This was our first time in Cancun so having a tour like this made it easy for us to move around, and with the plus package, it came in handy. Overall I would recommend this tour!
Absolutely amazing! If you're interested in history, knowledge and learning a different perspective than just the European tapes we've been told, this is the tour for you. Guides we excellent and flooded us with info on Mayan history, culture, customs, and modern day happenings. The cenote was a lovely soak and the Mayan descendants, Mexican peoples, and all the staff & vendors at different establishments were fantastic!
Great Trip! One Recommendation - more time at Cenote is needed. So maybe 15 min for lunch and Chichen Itza can be taken and added to cenote. Also, 13 hour trip - we got home at 8:30 PM and left at 7:15 AM.
We were disappointed with this tour because it was conducted approximately 75% in Spanish and only 25% in English. Since most of the people on the bus were Spanish speakers, the guide naturally spent much more time speaking to them. As English speakers, we felt left out for most of the tour. We booked this experience expecting the tour to be delivered equally in both English and Spanish. When we politely asked the guide if he could provide more information in English, he seemed offended and firmly told us not to ask him to speak more English because he was already doing his best. He said English is not his first language and that he was trying. While we appreciate that, the way he responded felt dismissive and made us uncomfortable asking any further questions. The guide was very engaging with the Spanish-speaking guests, sharing jokes and stories that they clearly enjoyed. Unfortunately, we missed much of that interaction because it was mostly in Spanish. At one point, we found ourselves using Google Translate on our phones just to avoid missing important information. I’m sure Spanish-speaking guests would have a wonderful experience on this tour, as the guide appears to be a good storyteller in Spanish. However, if you do not speak Spanish, I would not recommend this tour unless you are comfortable receiving only limited information in English. We paid for a guided tour because we expected an informative and educational experience. Instead, we felt we would have received better value by simply renting a car and visiting these locations on our own. We previously booked tours through Viator during a trip to France and had an excellent experience, which is why we chose them again. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet those expectations, and we left feeling disappointed. Having said that, when we got to Chichén, the group was split into two: English speakers and Spanish speakers. We went with the English speaking group to the actual location and that was helpful. The tour guide we were given spoke in English and explained well. That was the only place we felt included.
Really great tour. The guides are so knowledgeable, the buffet lunch was delicious and the whole day was organised to a tee. It's a very long day but you get to see and learn lots. Would definitely recommend!
It was awesome. Many things to see I. One day and enjoy. The cenote was just what was needed after that hot day and much walking at the temble
Did our tour with Gonzalo. Amazing experience. Very educational and interactive. We experienced a lot of rain, but I think it only made it more special. Thank you to our amazing driver as well. Gracias por todo. Fue un placer conocerlos y aprender mucho de la gente maya. Malikim
Got picked up at our resort (Planet Hollywood) at 7:15am and picked up two other couples at two other resorts. We then met up with the tour bus in Cancun. We received our boxed lunch (deluxe package) of a sandwich, cookies and a juice box. We made our way to Chichen Itza with Abel as our very knowledgeable guide. Once there, we were separated into 2 groups (Spanish and English). The ruins are beautiful and the whole tour of the area is fantastic. I do recommend that you bring more water (we were given one bottle each, but that is not enough) and make sure to have a quick snack before starting. It was a cloudy, breezy day and believe me, it was better this way! We were given an umbrella which came in handy for when the sun peaked out! The guide was very clear telling us to stay together as a group and to follow all directions. It is very unfortunate when some people don’t follow these directions. We had to wait a good ½ hour for some people who got lost. This is not fair for the others, AND it prolonged our tour (you will understand why this was a problem later in my review). Next stop: authentic Mayan lunch and cultural tour in Kaua. During his lecture on the bus, Abel talked about A LOT of different things, one being the Mayan calendar and birth certificate. He then gave everyone a paper and pen and asked us for our name and birth date. He talked about the cost (35US$) of said certificate and where that money went (Mayan people and school children). The buffet lunch was very good: 3 different meats for tacos, salad bar, desserts… My husband and I got a beer each (part of the deluxe package). After our lunch, we toured the village and then we finished in an authentic souvenir shop. This is where we found out that our certificates had already been made, and therefore we were expected to pay for them. We did ☹. When we went to get them, we were asked to wait 15 minutes. Um, so they weren’t ready? They hadn’t already been made? If you don’t want to get caught up in this, don’t fill-out the paper. We then got offered another beer in the bus (part of the deluxe package). Next stop: cenote. These have never been a disappointment for us! We got a free locker, part of the deluxe package. We had one hour to spend here. Final stop: Valladolid. It is a quaint little place, but by this time, we were done! More shopping for stuff you don’t need! Got back to our hotel a little after 9:30pm. I do not recommend this tour from Planet Hollywood. The tour was beautiful, just don’t do it from this resort. Finaly, the deluxe package is absolutely NOT worth the extra money.
Dont do it, it says it is in English but it is 2 words English and 10 in Spanish and it is like that through the whole trip. They say they will contact you the day before to schedule pickup, never happened, had to contact them instead arranged 7:50am pick up with a clear threat from them not to be late or you will be left behind they said. We were waiting from 7:40am and yet the bus stayed in the same location until 8:30am waiting for other guests. Then time was wasted at every single stop. First stop- tourist trap, lunch was not ready so wasted another 30min by literally being imprisoned in a chocolate shop. Most of lunch items were gone by the time we arrived and were never offered. Got to Chichen Itza at the hottest time of the day. We were all melting. Got to cenote 30min before closing and 20min was allowed for the last stop as we were running so late. Some people decided to take taxis and go home instead as no one knew when we will be back . And at the end with all of this poor organisation and time keeping they had the audacity to ask for tips. Come on now! Do better! 14 hours gone from our lives that we will never get back
Our guide Ave and driver Victor were just good vibes from start to finish! The price of the tour is definitely worth it! The food, the amount you travel and places you visit. Very much happy with the day. The whole tour lasted around 15 hours total so have a bag prepared for that!
Swimming in both Cenotes is beyond amazing, the service was superb, music from driver Victor was lit and the tour from Ave was informative, easy to understand in English and a wonderful all day experience
Very good service. Learn a lot of Mexico’s history from Avelino. Very smooth drive.
It was an absolutely amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone! The mexican buffet was lovely, and seeing and experiencing traditional Mayan history was great. The experience at Chichen Itza was great, there is so much to learn our tour guide was good at explaining things. The Centote that we experienced was absolutely breathtaking, and such a unforgettable thing to do. Everybody that we met were really helpful. Ave, the tour guide for the whole trip, was great, explaining lots of things from Mayan counting and how it links with the Chichen Itza itself. We left at 7.30 in the morning and arrived at just after 9 at night, but the amount that we managed to do in that time was brilliant.
It was really good and I loved the guide
Great hosting by Jerry and overall good experience.
Very good your with Ave &Maria and our driver Victor. Please reduce the plastic trash, thanks!
The entire experience was exceptional, particularly the full-day excursion which included beverages and a premium buffet. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and provided valuable information, ensuring a seamless excursion. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to extend the duration of the stop in Valladolid, as it is a vibrant location that warrants more time for enjoyment. Overall, we highly recommend Viator for its ease of booking and Caribe Mex as the excursion provider.
I went with my daughter she’s 15. I was a long day but so worth it we did so much. Chichen itza did not disappoint, the lunch was great loads of food all really tasty. The cenote was incredible so picturesque and the town was pretty. Lalo, Hugo and Edwardo the guides and driver were brilliant
Once on the bus, couldn't fault it. Jorge and Junior were amazing. Lots of information and made us laugh all day. Kept us hydrated with water and beer, finishing with a shot of tequila. Highly recommend.
This was a loooong day event, BUT totally worth it!!! Exceptional value for money. We travelled with Eduardo (Lalo on Tena bus 49), Victor and Oscar! They were a power team! Exceptional service provided and a wealth of knowledge shared. The highlight for my husband and I was the lunch! Authentic, flavourful and delicious Mayan/Mexican food…the variety was off the charts. We did not swim in the Cenote, but whilst others swam, we had a tequila tasting experience and enjoyed mangoes and a crepe kind of dessert loaded with fruits! Don’t know the name, but it was simply amazing. This experience was well worth it! Wear comfortable shoes as the walk from the park to the Chitzen Itza is long. Also, pay attention to your booking, as there is a fee required in peso when you board. Choose an excursion with the Cenote after the Chitzen Itza visit, you will want that cool down.
Great staff. The driver, guide and assistants were very attentive to everyone. They ssked if we had questions. They are very professional.
Booked this private tour with myquestconcierge. Pepe our guide arrived early we were able to start our 2 hour journey promptly. The early start proved very worthwhile as we arrived just as the site opened and before the many buses of tourists arrived. Pepe was an excellent guide giving us the history of the Mayan people. I could not believe we spent over 3 hours walking around. He then took us to a restaurant where we enjoyed an e collect lunch buffet. Following that we visited a Cenote - what a great experience. Nearby was Valladolid with a large church beside a beautiful town square and many shops to explore with local crafts and foods. Once again Pepe explained the culture of the areas. He ensured we were comfortable and supplied cold drinks throughout the day.
An amazing experience visiting these Mayan sites. Our tour guide Heber was phenomenal. He explained things so that we could appreciate the culture. He had many photos on his phone so that we could better understand given the background of these wonderful people. Swimming in the Cenote was a grand experience as well. Our driver Antonio picked us up at the appointed time with a friendly, smiling face. Small group is the way to go!
Had alot of fun.. Carlos ,Jose'Betty and driver. Wiwvwe had more time Centote
Amazing! A must see in everyone’s life. Go during the off season if you can! It was toasty. Prepared to ignore the vendors.
The guides were great, very nice, everything felt very safe. The trip included 4 stops, the first one was long and boring, it was lunch and gift shops and people trying selling us stuff. The other 3 were great and again it was totally worth the money. Again safe and interesting and friendly.
It was a super long day!!! Breakfast was horrible with no Vegetarian options. Lunch was mediocre. Since we couldn't eat the breakfast provided, we were starving. Long wait to taste Mayan food wasn't worth due to limited vegetarian options. Trip could have been planned better and should ideally end between 7 and 8 PM. Instead it ended at 10 PM. The Shaman ceremony was not exciting at all. However, Jorge and Alexa did a wonderful job.
Carlos and Carlos and Jose were great. They explained everything and helped us have a great time. Chichin Itza, cenote, and buffet lunch - all were well thought out and planned.
Great tour overall ccarlos was a great driver and jose was the best host we went to great places with great amount of time perfect
Great tour just needed more time in tge cenotes nor valladolid other than that great staff and good service 100% recommended
5. Everything was amazing. Thank you Carlos, Emiliano and Viri. The tour started with Chiche Itza and had a lovely finish at the cenotes.
Had a great experience with this group. Viri, Carlos, Emiliano and Alberto Aka Papi Chulo the driver. Was a great day with the tour to Chichen Itza. I truly recommend them for your tours here in Cancun.
The cenote was good, the history about the Mayans and Chinchen Itza was good. However, the tour was too long and I think more pick up spots are required as we drove pass Tulum when coming back and we are staying in Tulum so that didn't add up for us
The tour is a FULL DAY tour. Leave around 8:00 am and don’t come back until 10:00 pm. The tour itself was enjoyable but it could have been condensed for us….it was 2:00 pm and we visited the cinote and were just starting lunch (5 hours in). The sites were wonderful and the tour guides were very informative. Five stars for the team!!! I do have to give THE TOUR BUS a one star though. Very uncomfortable ride for the journey. If the person in front of you puts their chair back, you literally have two inches of room. There’s a cup holder on the left that grinds into your left thighs and a seat lever on the right side that grinds into your right side. Overall, the bus was terrible for a 2.5-3.0 one way journey. If you have bad knees, I’d suggest taking a smaller tour with better space inside the vehicle. lol. Sound like a silly complaint but it’s a long journey to have the guy in front of you with his seat tilted back in your lap, a cup holder grinding your left thighs and a seat lever grinding your right side.
The tour locations were excellent, Chichen Itza, and two cenote. Pickup was over 20 min late and had to transfer from van to bus that took more time. From best estimate lost more than an hour at Chichen Izta and more at Ik Kil cenote. The local buffet lunch was good and fresh. Food free you buy drinks. Return stop to get food was also fast because behind schedule. Probably a 13 hr day from pickup to drop off. Still riding the bus. The staff was nice and helpful. Dont be late for departure or you will be left behind.
Eduardo (Lalo) and his team did an excellent job guiding us through this trip and ensuring that we had an amazing time. He was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and made the whole experience very pleasant for us. I would highly recommend using his services.
Great tour by Lalo, Jose and Luis. Very well organized and prepared. All the stops were nice during our tour and the local food was super delicious.
