Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Being accused of something without proof is extremely disrespectful, especially when it affects your integrity as a guest. I was approached regarding an alleged smoking violation, even though I do not smoke at all and there was absolutely no basis for that accusation. On the day they mentioned, we left the hotel around 8:15 AM and did not return until approximately 9:00 PM, meaning we were away almost the entire day. Guadalupe, the staff member who entered and inspected our room, personally confirmed that there was nothing inside—no smell, no evidence, absolutely nothing. Even in the stairways and common areas there was odor present, which clearly shows assumptions should not be made so lightly against guests without proper verification. I am also attaching a photo of the message sent by the hotel, where they state that other guests reported a smell in the hallways and reception area. However, after inspection, nothing was found inside my room, which further proves that accusations should not be made without proper evidence. I am also attaching photos from inside the room, where there were no visible smoke detectors or similar verification devices. As a former guest, I strongly believe the hotel should invest in proper smoke detection or objective verification systems before making accusations against guests. Under Article 10 of Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law, providers are prohibited from carrying out actions that affect the freedom, safety, or personal integrity of consumers under the pretext of investigation or inspection. Guests should not be accused based only on assumptions or third-party comments without clear evidence. I am also attaching photos showing the cameras located near Room 101 and in the hallway. Before disturbing a guest early in the morning and implying responsibility for something without proof, management should have reviewed any available objective evidence, including hallway cameras, instead of making assumptions. This situation could have been handled with proper verification instead of an unfounded accusation. On top of that, we had no internet service starting around 9:30 PM and continuing into the next day. Even on the day of our arrival, connecting to the Wi-Fi was already difficult, so this is clearly an ongoing issue that management needs to address. What was most upsetting was being treated as if I had done something wrong without any real proof. Being woken up early over an unfounded accusation made the situation even more frustrating and disrespectful. Honestly, I would not recommend staying here. Respect for guests should always come before assumptions, and basic services like internet should work properly. I hope Fernando, the hotel manager, handles situations like this with more seriousness, fairness, and professionalism in the future.
Very helpful and honest staff. Forgot AirPods and they send it vía FedEx Pickup. Always nicely greeting. The room is a bit noisy as ours was facing the main road but you are very central. Would stay again!
The windows are extremely thin and the parking lot and reception directly below operates 24/7, with constant noise. Staff members talked loudly through the night, playing videos/music on speaker, and woke us up throughout the night (even with earplugs in). After two sleepless nights, we were sleep-deprived and had no choice but to leave two days earlier than planned. Hotel Mexico made no effort to accommodate (or even acknowledge) our request for an early checkout and completely ignored us. Avoid this hotel whenever you can. Value for money is lowest of our entire trip (old and small rooms, ultra thin bedding, broken doors, besides most importantly: being unable to rest..).
Not happy! No hot water in the morning. No fan in bathroom. Nowhere to hang towels. One roll of TP. No mini fridge. No cups. No coffee. No "do not disturb" sign. No fresh air(windows are to high to open easily no ceiling fans. The worst part.... Three workers started some loud construction or repairs to the pool area right outside our window at 7am. I went outside visibly irritated in my pajamas and told them"NO BUENO!" But they kept grinding metal and hammering and cutting concrete till 8am. Clean hotel otherwise.
