The Ghost Quest Citywide Puzzle Adventure In York

Was really good experience really enjoyed it. Better than expected. Had to get a couple of hints as we had a toddler who was getting bored but it's not difficult to complete.

Excellent well led clues, very interesting and seen a lot of York and interesting ghost stories.

Really good fun, enjoyed the walk around the city and found the clues to be very cleverly put together. Would definitely recommend. Had a problem receiving our tickets but after a quick phonecall we had them delivered via email to our phone within 5 minutes. Excellent customer service

The concept was fine and the adventure was delivered via the Questo app which worked ok. The directions weren't great and we needed to look up directions using our own online maps as 'turn right' occasionally meant 'turn left'. Inputting the answers was also a bit frustrating as we had the right answers but couldnt input in the exact way as required. Overall though we had a pleasant walk around York with added interest via the app and at the price we were happy.

Great value and fun way to enjoy an afternoon and good route with lots of opportunity to pop into shops/pubs. Learnt a lot of history too, highly rated!

Me and my husband did this. Was so interesting, funny and also a bit upsetting with some of the stories. We had a fantastic time doing this. So enjoyable. Would recommend this 100%. If we are back in york again we are definitely going to do the other one is it handrail or roman.

A great Ghost Quest which I, my husband, our 14 year old son and dog all enjoyed! Not easy to find something for all of us but this really had us all engaged. The clues / riddles were pitched at the right level, and enabled us to discover York and take in some interesting sights and history whilst sleuthing our way around. Really good that we could take this at our own pace, and break off whenever we wanted. A perfect experience for a holidaying family.

Wow! What a great day we had questing round york. Finding out about all the stories was so interesting. We loved all the little details that we saw, and definately learned to always look up! You never know what you may see. The ending was brill didnt see that coming. 1000% recommend to anyone wanting to explore york a bit further. Cant wait for our next trip to do the second roman one. I hope there are many more quests coming. You tell how much time and effort went into making this. Thank you.

We had fun solving the clues, kept us guessing all around the city. Enjoyed discovering 'The Body' we never knew it was there!!! Highlights were Constatine, the Tiny Owl and Guy Fawkes' birthplace.

Good for family engagement and nice way to learn about the city’s history and ghosts! Would be helpful if the site itself was a bit more engaging to really enhance the experience in the future but stories and clues were good

This was such a fun activity to do! My girlfriend and I were looking for fun date ideas to do while in York, and we were not disappointed with this! Not only was it fun and easy, but it got us exploring parts of the city we might have missed otherwise. We learned about York’s incredible history and created a memorable experience that we can always look back on. Highly recommended!

We completed the Ghost Quest in the pouring rain and it was still great fun to do. Well thought out route with a mix of easy and more challenging clues to guide you round the city. Highly recommend it

Really fun idea. Took couple of hours. Saw sights we wouldn’t have normally seen. Played it with my husband…..thought at one point was going to end divorce…..but alas we were laughing by the end. 10,000 steps later and discounted prize! Happy days

Had a great time with the kids looking for all the clues! Finding all the little secrets that we would normally miss made for a fun afternoon. Price is great for all the detail and research that went into the clues! Next time we will I the Roman quest. The ghost clues are not scary at all and perfectly suitable for younger kids. My girls loved it, as did the adults!

We did this for my wife's birthday and we both loved it. Walked round York solving puzzles and somehow came away knowing loads more about the city's history than we expected. It doesn't feel like a history lesson though, it just sneaks up on you. I spent most of it reading the instructions in silly voices which my wife found either very funny or very annoying depending on which part you ask her about. Really good fun, would do it again.

Amazing! Absolutely loved it! One of the best days of our holiday! Was easy enough to do but hard enough to make it interesting! Definitely do it in the day light otherwise you’d miss a lot of the clues! Amazing stories, learned so much about York that we never would have seen! Highly recommend.

We have just spent a great couple of hours completing the Ghost Quest. A fun, well written story taking you by Yorks most iconic sites in order to free 'lost' souls. Clear instructions to get you started and clever clues, only solvable if you remain observant!! The reward for a completed quest is claimed in a most unexpected way. We will definitely be doing more quests.

Lovely way to see a wider range of places around York, whilst finding out a bit of history. Well worth it. One thing I will mention is that around Mickelgate and the Minster there is alot of restoration and scaffolding about so clues can be a lot trickier to find at present.

A cracking way to see the city. Fun, informative and nicely spun out so you do genuinely have to do some detective work. We loved it!

We decided to try out this ghost quest while staying at York for the weekend. The game started well and it was easy to get the instructions via the dedicated website and answering the questions/clues. We managed to get halfway through enjoying the game until suddenly the clues turned up quite a notch and became almost impossible to solve. We then found ourselves asking for hints on almost every single step as we couldn’t figure out what else to do. The game makes it easy for you to ask for hints so we managed to finish it, but we would have preferred to finish it by our own means and not through hints. Also, some clues no longer make sense because the places have changed or there are constructions on site that don’t make it easy to decipher. We wish the game would have been a bit more hands on with inside interactions at pubs or retailers that would make the experience a bit more vivid.
