Guided Bike Tour In York

As it was rainy, Cecil offered us the option of a walking tour - which we took. We had a fantastic couple of hours wandering through York. Cecil was an excellent guide, full of enthusiasm and information. Highly recommended.

This tour was just amazing, I had a great time cycling with the group and Andy was so amiable and accommodating.

We were a family of four adults and thoroughly enjoyed the cycle tour.Cecil is a true gentleman and has such knowledge and exciting stories to relate each time we stopped.We wove in and out of back alley ways that were hidden away from view and all steeped in York's history,cycling lots of other areas within the Bar walls and along the river too.Cecil made it all so very interesting.It was an easy pace,lots of stops for commentary and felt very safe.The bikes are easy to ride and comfy helmets too.Still savouring the memories!Many thanks.

Cecil was a great guide. The bikes are well-maintained and easy to ride. The route is safe and we never felt uncomfortable. Cecil and this tour gave us ideas for other things to do in York that we might not have done otherwise. Just a great tour.

Andy and Cecil were excellent tour guides! We really enjoyed this two hour bike trip around York. We saw areas we would have missed and learned some interesting history along the way. The ride is flat and very easy to keep up. I would recommend this one!

A fabulous Sunday morning spent pedalling along York's quieter streets. Andy, my guide, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any question. His 'Grusometer'- where things rank on a scale of gruesome was hilarious. As a solo traveller, I was delighted to meet a local who really knows their city.

Our travel agent had booked a bike tour for my wife and me in York with a different provider that was cancelled. That provider referred us to York Cycling Tours and I am so glad they did! My wife was not feeling well the morning of the tour - when I advised Andy of that, he mentioned that I was the only booking that day but that he would be happy to take me solo. Really enjoyed our bike ride with Andy. He’s very knowledgeable and friendly. He even shared a Terry’s chocolate orange with us in the park! The ride is mostly flat and easy. It was a wonderful way to explore the history and beauty of York.
