Fantastic experience with Golden Tours! Hop-on hop-off bus + river cruise was perfect with my parents. Buses were frequent, guides were very informative and friendly, and the Thames cruise views were amazing. Covered Buckingham Palace, London Eye and Tower Bridge comfortably. Highly recommended! Travel was around 2h30m Admission fee : For 5 adults + 1child :actual price was £252 but got blue light card Golden tours promo offer 33% off so got tickets in a better price £168.84😍

Great tour. Lots of information of various historic points in York which you may not necessarily see if just were walking by. Very interesting. Would definitely recommend.

Today, I used Golden Tours in London and was very disappointed. The ticket seller at Baker Street gave me misleading information, and I regretted buying the ticket.

Highly recommend this tour of York. Very good value for money and even when sitting in the open section of the top deck, we could hear the automated tour commentary loud and clear. We took our 3 dogs on the bus with us and they were made very welcome.

We had a wonderful experience on the York Hop-On Hop-Off Bus! It’s such a great way to see the city and take in all the main sights without having to worry about navigating or walking everywhere. The commentary was interesting and informative, giving us a great insight into York’s history and landmarks. Being able to hop on and off at different stops made it really easy to explore at our own pace. I also have to mention the wonderful customer service. I had booked my ticket online but, when I arrived, I couldn’t find it anywhere on my phone. The young gentleman working on the bus was incredibly helpful, patient and kind while he tried to assist me. I did eventually manage to find my ticket, but I really appreciated how helpful and understanding he was — it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The bus was comfortable, convenient and a lovely way to see York. I’d definitely recommend the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus to anyone visiting, especially if it’s your first time in the city. A fantastic way to see the sights, learn about York’s history and explore at your own pace.

Emma was a fabulous guide! Not only was her commentary interesting and fun, she was incredibly helpful answering questions and making sure we got off at the right stop. The buses were quite late at some locations, but Emma more than made up for the wait!

This was a disappointment - the tour was advertised as a 70 minute tour and it ended up being 2hrs and 15 mins, and I departed the bus at that point. The operator seemed annoyed when a few of us asked about the timeline, as we had other engagements, and told us it was busy and sometimes things ran over. Normally, I would understand that when it's 15 mins - 20 mins over When I asked to get off the bus, I was told it wasn't a hop-on hop-off experience, which was confusing, as it was advertised as that. Additionally, the microphone was broken and the tour operator just talked to a couple at the back of the bus - no attempt to include the rest of us. I wouldn't recommend.

This was the better value for us because the ticket is good for 2 days + a boat tour for just 1 pound more than the red bus operator. While the route is shorter, the extended route did not include features we wanted. It covered all the highlights. One downside is that one of their buses was taken out of service for a maintenance issue and we had to wait almost an hour for a pickup. On a second use we did not experience any inconvenience. This is also a Grey Line tour and we've always had a good experience with Grey Line.

My friend and I took the golden tour open top bus around York. Russell was our driver. What a wonderful experience he gave us from start to finish, he was hilarious and informative. We enjoyed the experience so much we went round twice. Thank you Russell you made our day out so much fun.

When ever my Wife and I do a City break we always do an open top bus tour. To some its a cheesy expensive waste of money but not us we all ways love the quirky snippets of city information. It's a great easy way to expand your Knowledge and learn something new. The tour lasts an hour and there are some designated drop off point along the route just ring the bell hop off do your site seeing then hop back on to the next tour bus that comes along. Great fun.

It was a really good trip. We where able to get on the bus there are two companies who run tours one red and one blue so just check what colour your emails have on them and you'll be fine. Even if you do get on the wrong bus the people let you know. I got on the bus on a basic tour then my son wanted to go to the York dungeon. The bus stops just up the road from it they let you know what tourist attractions are nearby. I had also booked tickets to the river cruise I made sure to book at 3pm so I had time to do other things. I was able to go on the first half of the bus ride with facts and info. Then go through the york dungeon and when we got out it was 2:30 so we had time to get to the boat. After the boat ride we decided to start heading home so we got back on the tour bus for the second half of the tour then we just stayed on untill the bus got near the train station. We just pressed the button the his pulls in just up the road. Then we got the train home. All in all a good day out lots to see and do. We also had a go at dig.

Likely as good as others. Easy to find. Only negative was sitting in a bus for 15+minutes while one driver left and before another came. The it took another 5 minutes for new driver to set going.

Had a lovely trip in York this past May to visit a friend for a few days. We did some research on the bus tours and originally was planning on going on the red buses, however we ran into a worker of the blue buses Sarah, and she convinced us to go with the blue bus instead. She was really lovely and introduced us to the driver and a few other workers, she gave us recommendations on where to go during our visit, which historical sights were best, were to get food, she created such a welcoming experience for my friend and I. Would definitely recommend going with Golden Tours, as they really knew their stuff. Will definitely be coming back to York for another visit soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic London Bus Tour – Dominic Was Brilliant! We had such a brilliant time on the Golden Tours open-top bus in London! There were two adults and two children in our group, and we sat right at the back on the top deck in the gorgeous sunshine – the perfect way to see London. Our tour guide, Dominic, absolutely made the experience. He was hilarious from start to finish, with brilliant jokes that had both the adults and kids laughing. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about London and all the sights we passed, but delivered everything in such a fun and entertaining way that the two-hour tour flew by. The kids absolutely loved it, and we got to see so many of London’s famous sights along the way. If you’re doing a Golden Tours open-top bus tour, ask for Dominic if you can! Such a lovely, funny and knowledgeable man who clearly enjoys what he does. Thoroughly recommend – Dominic deserves a pay rise! 😂👏

Emma our tour guide was fantastic. I’ll do another tour again just so I can hear her. She was so knowledgeable (you can tell she loves the city). Have lived in London for about 20 years so used to most of the sites but came out with visiting family and Emma still made me want to come back. We today did the tour round York and were fortunate enough to have Mick as our live guide.He was very knowledgeable and funny.We learnt new things from him having been on the tour before with the prerecorded guide.He was amazing remembering places and dates for the whole trip.Our driver Ian was very friendly and a very good driver negotiating narrow roads with lorries parked in some places.The seller Sarah was helpful and friendly. I noticed her Irish twang and having Irish great grandparents could have chatted longer.They all made our day really special as we are celebrating our golden wedding in York. If you want to see all the sights this beautiful city has to offer,take a ride on the buses.The price is competitive too as a ticket lasts 24 hours.

Kelvin was the best tour guide ever with the coach driver Marius. Had so much fun and would recommend this tour with these two people!🫶🏽 First stop was at Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and then the Roman Baths.

We chose to do this as an easy way to get around York, with one of our party members not to great on their feet, it meant we had the ease of figuring out where we wanted to be and getting off at the nearest stop. Our guide Mike was very entertaining, comical and knowledgeable about the history of York. We did a full circuit and then used the bus to take us to the areas we wanted to see like the shambles and minster. I would highly recommend this as an insight into learning about York and being able to get around the city with ease. Mike you were super and we really enjoyed your commentary around the city history.

An excellent way to hear about some of the history of York. The commentary was excellent.

Book the bus tour with the live guide!! Emma was our live guide and she was amazing!! Highly recommend. We stayed on the bus to finish her shift just so we could hear everything she had to say about the city.

Blue line driver left us on the bus and didn’t bother to mention that bus wasn’t continuing. Later we saw our hop on bus and ran to it. The driver was stopped at a light, but refused to let us on. Next bus took around 15 minutes to show up. Later, bus stopped for a “driver change”. And after about 20+ minutes we saw the red line bus come up. We decided to get on that bus, when we were informed that the bus driver (relief) didn’t show up. Gold line seems to have longer waits and fewer busses compared to the Big Bus. I would highly recommend using a different hop on hop off than Gold Line.

The hop on hop off bus was amazing. Excellent value for money. The drives our guides were very knowledgeable and very friendly too. Would definitely recommend.

We did the package on 12th May which included the London eye, Madame Tussads and River Cruise. The busses are very less frequent on all the three red, blue and orange routes. The rates I am told are the most competitive among the other tour operators so that way it's better than the rest.

First I would like to say I was by myself sat on a table near the art gallery! I approached the ticket person next to golden tours to ask a question. He was soo rude and dismissive! So asked the people on Golden Tours a question and the difference in attitude was amazing! So friendly and helpful. The experience and the ride was brilliant. I thought I knew a bit about York. How wrong was I? Led by Rich, it was such an informative and fun ride around York. Rich has a brilliant and humorous delivery that made the entire ride hilarious. Also he has mad skills behind the wheel getting up and around Yorks tiny streets! All in all an absolutely brilliant attraction. Sat upstairs in the sun listening to Yorks past was really, really great. Thank you all so much.
