Boat Party Experience With Dj & Drinks In York

GRIM....... AVOID it's a ripoff. I'm utterly embarrassed I put my family through this. The food was inedible, cold, uncooked and shoved into a dark corner so you couldn't see it. The fishes ate well that night ....and so we were all hungry. The toilets were dirty and the DJ was very cheesy. I'm amazed it's allowed to run as a business to be honest.

Was advertised as night time party and disco cruise with fantastic 2 course buffet. For £48 per person, I would advise going to a brunch somewhere instead because you're paying £48 for inedible food and drinks on top. I took one bite of a sausage roll and had to run to the loo to puke it up. We had a look at the buffet before we set off and it was partially covered with clingfilm, meaning it was just plain awful. There were items in that buffet that can't even be described as food!!!! The bar was normal town prices and not stocked well at all, so, think about it....... Brunch for £40 with unlimited drinks and freshly cooked hot food or £48 for a night party cruise with inedible cold, pre-cooked food that you wouldn't even give a stray dog and then pay for your drinks on top. The fact it's a cruise doesn't give it an extra star as you can't see anything at night time 😂 Also, even on arrival before anyone had used them - the toilets were disgusting!!!!

The positives: The staff seemed friendly, the DJ had good energy. Good space to dance in The negative: leak almost over the Buffet.. it wasn't raining so what was leaking The boat went around in circles. I thought It might go for an hour 1 way and then return but not turn around every 20 mins. Once you've seen it was is there to look out on. In Scarborough, the ships have different times, the longer trip takes a different route. So that's the one I would recommend.

Great night, good music and danced the night away. We were part of a hen group and made some great memories. Staff were fab on the boat.

The staff are fantastic. From the very start Kirsty helped me organise a private party and nothing was too much trouble. The whole team on the day were friendly and went above and beyond for us all. Thank you!

Oh my goodness this trip was fabulous. It was a surprise for our guests so we didn’t tell them until the Friday night at dinner that we’d booked a boat for the Saturday night and they loved it. All the staff on the boat were brilliant as was the DJ. Everyone thought the food was fabulous. Please pass on our thanks for a job well done. I can’t recommend city cruises highly enough

Couldn’t be happier! Originally booked the party boat but because of the lack of numbers we got offered a different boat (River King) for private hire for our hen do. Andy and Fraser were fantastic, really easy going, helpful and friendly. Hen do decorations were put up for us and we were able to play our own music. Drinks on board were very reasonably priced. We absolutely loved it! Neil and Ryan were also extremely helpful in managing our booking and helping me arrange the cruise. Very grateful.

Farah, Nathan and Scott were phenomenal hosts. Polite, fun and catering to the business’ every need. 10/10- all lovely and would absolutely revisit! xx
