Amazing tour, which was perfectly organized & managed from start to end. All park or temple entries were pre-booked, we did not need to wait anywhere. Guides have always be on time and it was nice to chat with them. Great value for money, so definitely can recommend!

An unforgettable East Java adventure with an exceptional guide and driver We had an amazing five-day trip through East Java with our guide, Yogi, and our driver, Bams. From releasing baby turtles at sunrise to climbing through spectacular waterfalls and watching the landscape emerge at Mount Bromo, the entire experience was unforgettable. Yogi was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cared about giving us the best possible experience. Throughout the tour, he gave us different options for our itinerary and clearly explained the trade-offs involved. We usually followed his recommendation, and he was nearly always proven right. For example, he encouraged us to get up early to reach the waterfalls before the other visitors. It was completely worth it, as we had time to explore them in their natural beauty without the crowds. The waterfalls were a particular highlight for me. I loved the adventurous side of climbing up, around and through them. It was so much fun, and Yogi was always nearby to help and take photographs. This was a great bonus when we wanted something other than selfies to remember the trip by. Bams was one of the best drivers I have ever encountered. A good driver is essential in Java, where some of the roads and infrastructure can be challenging. He read the traffic exceptionally well, drove safely and calmly, and always managed to get us where we needed to be on time. Sukamade Turtle Beach was another unforgettable experience. Going to the beach at sunrise to release baby turtles into the sea was incredibly special, and they were almost unbearably cute. The views at both Ijen and Mount Bromo were breathtaking and made all the early starts worthwhile. One practical note for anyone considering the blue flame at Ijen: it was extremely crowded, and at times the route felt unsafe because there are no steps or effective system for managing people moving both up and down the narrow path. When given the choice, it is worth seriously considering skipping the blue flame and prioritising sunrise over the crater lake instead, as that is where the truly spectacular views are. Overall, this tour combines beautiful scenery, wildlife, hiking and genuine adventure, while Yogi and Bams take care of all the practical details. We would highly recommend Java Adventure Trail, and especially Yogi and Bams, to anyone looking for a memorable and exceptionally well-organised East Java adventure.

Amazing experience, the guides were all excellent. We did the 5 day 4 night tour and were able to see Borabuder and Prambanan Temple along with Bromo and Ijen volcano. The process in general went flawless and can't say enough about it guides Particularly Theo and Andy, they were top notch and i cant say enough good things. 10/10 would recommend, my wife and i had an excellent experience

Excellent trip with our wonderful guide Yogi and driver Wahyu. We really appreciated Yogi’s ability to find less crowded viewpoints to make our experience really special. Yogi and Wahyu went out of their way to find great local restaurants and shared their culture with us through out the trip! Wahyu drove super safely throughout which we appreciated! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone (especially over other tours) as you have both a driver and guide, this means that the driver can rest while the guide gets up early for the hike and vice versa. This is something we have not had on subsequent trips in Bali and really important for road safety.

Had a great time on this holiday!!!! Highly recommend!!! In East Java we had Yogi as our guide, he was absolutely incredible!!! He is so very kind and knows all the good spots to go and gets us there before everyone else. Wahyu was our driver in East Java and he was so funny and drove very well. It was a great trip because of both of them! We saw the beauty of ijen, went all the way through Tempak sewu to goa tete, and mount bromo! It was all beautiful and Yogi and Wahyu made it perfect. In Yogyakarta we had Chastol who was very nice and good. Seeing the various temples was incredible, they are so grand and beautiful and we learned a lot. Everything was included and taken care of, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Great experience, thank you!!!

We booked a multi-day trip with Java Adventure Tours starting from Yogyakarta and got to experience the highlights of Java: Prambanan Temple, Borobudur Temple, Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and the Ijen Volcano. Everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. What really made the trip special was our guide in East Java, Ari. He was extremely knowledgeable, well connected, and always shared useful information with us. Thanks to his experience and timing, we often arrived at the sights before anyone else, which allowed us to enjoy the places in peace and take beautiful photos without the crowds. To start with: the whole tour has been organised excellently: communication with Sofyan and the guides/drives, transfers, accommodation, meals and the activities. We never had to queue anywhere and didn't have to worry about a thing. The guides are very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and provided recommendations for lunch and dinner. The tour (5D 4N) - Yogyakarta: the temples were our highlight and we had excellent local tour guides during our visit in both Borobudur and Prambanan. In the end, we would have loved to spend even more time in Prambanan (Sultan Palace and Water Castle are nice to see, but we would definitely recommend the temples more). A special thanks to our driver Adam who always ensured our well-being. - Volcano tour (Bromo, Ijen including Blue Fire/crater): we have enjoyed the great sunrise at Bromo and hiking up the volcano. Climbing Ijen and walking down to the crater have been an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Hamid was amazing and we take so many great memories home (he not only took care that we get the best views, but also had always a helping hand when going down the crater. Moreover, he is a great fotographer too). We would also like to thank Rico, our driver, for managing the Indonesian traffic so well. Both made the tour unforgettable! 😊

First of all: excellent organisation. The tour is extremely well planned: transfers, accommodation, meals and most activities are explained in advance on the website. We didn't have to worry about a thing, which was a particularly pleasant change for us as backpackers. The guides are always flexible when it comes to spontaneous changes and new destinations along the way, which you can find on social media :) You really get to experience a lot: temples in Yogyakarta and the surrounding area (Borobudur, Prambanan), volcanoes (Bromo, Ijen including Blue Fire/crater), nature and landscapes, and cultural insights. Because Indonesia is so huge, you often have to cover long distances: this gave us plenty of opportunities to relax in the car and discuss our experiences. Finally, I would like to explicitly praise all the drivers and guides: they really make the tour an experience!🙏 Special thanks go to our guides Dino and Adam, who always found the perfect balance between culture, information and fun. With my boyfriend we chose YOGYAKARTA BOROBUDUR BROMO IJEN TUMPAK SEWU BALI TOUR (5D4N) and it was absolutely amazing! ❤️ Everything was perfectly organized and comfortable. What made our journey truly unforgettable was the engagement of our guide Rahman and the driver Fauzi. Rahman was not only an amazing guide but also great photographer - we’ve never had such beautiful photos before. The things that Rahman took care of was way above our expectations. We booked a 3-day private tour with Java Adventure Trail and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Our guide, Tono, and driver, Dani, picked us up in Sorabaya and drove us all the way to East Java to start our adventure. From there, we explored Mount Bromo and Kawah Ijen before they accompanied us right to the boat that took us to Bali. Tono was an exceptional guide — always on time, super friendly, and full of great tips for getting the best views. He also shared interesting stories about the local culture, history, and nature, which made the journey much more enriching. He was always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, and even helped us take some fantastic photos along the way. Dani was an excellent driver, navigating long distances and winding roads with complete professionalism. We always felt safe in his hands, and he made the journey smooth and relaxing. Both of them were incredibly accommodating, and made sure everything ran perfectly. From sunrise over Bromo to the surreal blue fire and crater lake at Ijen, every moment was unforgettable. Everything was so well organized that we could just focus on enjoying the scenery and the adventure. We recommend Java Adventure Trail, especially if you get to travel with Tono and Dani. They turned what was already an amazing itinerary into a truly memorable experience!

Super easy to organise via WhatsApp. The itinerary makes for an amazing few days (East Java deserves more time). Our Guide Nano was superb, knowledgable, patient and always happy to jig the schedule to suit the demands of family travel. Ricko our driver was always alert and safe, looking after us, or our belongings. I can not recommend this tour, Nano and Rick highly enough. Our only regret is we did not have more time.

We just came back from an amazing trip in East Java. Every day we saw another magnificent place. And for the people scared to not sleep a lot: you won’t sleep more than 6 hours but the sunrises are more than worth it and in some way you won’t feel it as much as you think (we did the tour with parents aged 57 and 51 years old). Our guide Tono did a wonderful job; he brought us to the best spots, looked after us carefully, solved a problem we had with a hotel we went to after the trip and made sure everything was organised perfectly (the boss forgot to communicate some things to his employees but thanks to Tono we did not feel it). Don’t expect a guide who explains everything you see but you can ask him all your questions and share experiences with him.

We have had an absolutely excellent time on the this tour - we went from Bali to Yogjakarta. We were picked up easily at our hotel in Bali, met Ari at the ferry, and had 2 brilliant days of hiking in east Java. The Bluefire and Mt. Bromo were both brilliant, and we had a wonderful time. Absolutely the reason our time was so good is due to Ari, who was our guide, and Bams, who was our driver. Ari has such extensive knowledge of the areas he helped us find good food and recommended Warungs to eat at. He was very safe on the tours, and particularly helped my wife and our friend on descending the difficult path at the Blue Fire. He was very safe, and always checked in on us as a group. On safety as well, Bams was a very safe but efficient driver and we never felt rushed when driving -- despite Indonesias difficult traffic! The pair were really helpful and informative, and made us feel very welcome and supported. Anyone who is on the fence, you will not regret booking this tour!

It was a very exhausting trip with less sleep and a lot of travel time - but worth each minute! Our guide Ari brought us save from up to Bromo and Iljen and down to the waterfalls. Especially on our way down to the Blue Fire Ari did a great job! He was always helpful and attentiv and took lots of pictures for us. Ari, we say thank you for a great time!!!

We can highly recommend this tour. All spots were very impressive and each day brought many incredible memories. Everything was organized very well and we had nothing to worry about. Even though waking up early for most of the days was a bit exhausting, it was always worth the effort. Most of this was thanks to our awesome guides. Adam did a great job at showing us around the Yogyakarta area and provided us with many insights. For the remaining part of the Tour, Rahman led us through the breathtaking sceneries of Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and Ijen Crater. We are very grateful to him, as he made sure that everything worked flawlessly and showed us many great spots. We made the Mount Bromo-Ijen tour from Yogyakarta to Bali and it was a really great experience. Everyone was really nice to us and the hotels included were lovely. The Mount Bromo trip was our top moment as it has the most beautiful views we ever had! I planned a trip to visit Indonesia. And I chose this tour because I was exposed to a lot of culture and nature. The road trip from Yogyakarta to Tempasar in Bali with a dedicated driver, train, and ferry was a very nice trip. The guide and driver were helpful and very friendly. And all the hotels were nice and clean. If you want a very comfortable journey without any stress, this tour is the best for you.

We had an amazing experience during this 5day program! The views were magnificent and our guide Ari showed us amazing spots, from (turtle) beaches to vulcano mountains and the best diner spots! We had enough time to visit everything at our own pace. The content of our program was the perfect alternation between little adventures and time to relax. Hotels booked by the organisation were clean and beautiful too. Our guide Ari made sure we had everything we needed. He was always perfect on time and very kind! Would 100% recommend to do the tour!

We discovered the great nature and culture of Java with our Guide Faruq and the driver Derry Gondrong. They did a fantastic job and showed us hidden places away from the tourist hotspots. Faruq also managed a change in the tour as Ijen could not be visited due to volcanic activities. Instead we had a funny ATV tour. Overall one of the best tours we ever did.

The tour is jam packed and you get to see all the main highlights as listed in the description. You do not have to think about what is coming next as this is explained to you and the transfer from one location to another is seamless. You pay a premium for this but for the travellers who do not have time to plan individual trips and looking for an all-inclusive deal - this is the tour for you. The order of events is slightly different to the description but made perfect sense. Given how far apart all attractions are, there is a lot of driving involved so be prepared for long trips in the car. The car comes with AC and water. Our taxi to Ubud (final designation) broke down and they were able to send a replacement car despite being in the middle of nowhere. One thing to note is that the sunrise tour is no longer possible at Borobudur temple since Covid and they take you to another location.

I booked the 5d4n YOGYAKARTA BOROBUDUR BROMO IJEN TUMPAK SEWU BALI tour. Everything was perfectly organised. A good mix of Indonesian culture and stunning nature. Many thanks to Dino, my guide from Surabaya to Ketapang. He was a great guide, motivator and photographer and took me safely to the Bluefire at Ijen volcano and to the Sewu waterfall He had great tips ready, e.g. for sunrise on Mount Bromo, first on the crater and then at the viewpoint to avoid the large crowds of tourists. This plan worked out perfectly. Short stops to sample local specialities were made possible. I can warmly recommend the tour and especially Dino as a guide. Keep up the good work, Java Adventure Trail team :-)

We just completed our 5-day/4-night trip from Yogyakarta to Bromo, Ijen, and Bali, and it was amazing. The entire tour was extremely well-organized from start to finish, and the accommodations along the way were excellent. A big shoutout to our two guides, Andi (Yogyakarta) and Albert (Bromo and Ijen), and to our three drivers. Andi and Albert went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Since one of us must adhere to a strictly gluten-free diet because of celiac disease, multi-day tours in more remote areas can be challenging. Both guides made sure that this wasn’t an issue, and we were well taken care of. We have been traveling for over a year now, undertaking many tours around the globe, and this was certainly one of the best. A big thank you from both of us!

We loved everything about the tour! The communication upfront was super easy and quick and everything worked out very well. Our first guide Adam was very friendly and funny and gave us some helpful tipps. The Homestays/Hotels were good and the Temples we visited were very impressive. We chose the "cheaper" option of Hotels, which we didn't expect to be this good. Our second guide Ari was the best tour guide one can imagine. He always had a smile on his face and supported us in any kind of way. His timing was so perfect, that we always had the best photo spots (on Bromo and waterfall) and we were also first at the bluefire on Ijen. We can recommend this tour to everyone, who would like to go on adventures and get to know Java in a short time. If possible do the tour with Ari, as he made our trip extra special. We are so happy to have decided to enjoy the comfort of an all guided private tour to see the highlights of Java in a short time 🙏🏻 everything was well organized! Our Yogyakarta guide Andy has such a fun and kind personality. He made sure that we saw especially the cultural highlights and that we got private guides on the sites. After taking the train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya by ourselves (tickets were organized though!) we were picked up by Risky and Yogi. I was so impressed by Risky’s driving skills , and Yogi was always caring and made sure we have the best time and have all we need. Thanks to everyone! We can only recommend taking this tour but also to plan some relaxing days afterwards since you won’t get much sleep during those days!

We really enjoyed the well-organized adventure in Yogjakarta and East Java including famous World Heritage sites and unique landscapes of volcanos. Especially, Mt. Bromo is something special even for Japanese, though Japan is also islands with many volcanos. Thank you for the team, especially Adam supporting us in Yogjakarta area and Yogi & Elfan in East Java.

Our Driver and Guide named Arie picked us up in Yokya. The Car was nice and big. so the four of us had a lot of space.Arie is amazing, he explained everything to us, every detail about our jouney to the sky.The tour to the Bromo is the most exciting and breathtaking adventure we ever did. Arie was so careing, we were always the first at each interesting spot. The same with the IJEN-Tour. Arie knew the best time to walk up and down the crater. It was not that easy because the steps were very slippery, but we always got a helping hand. We highly can recommend both tours with Arie!

We had some questions and he answered everything very quickly. The things we saw and experienced during the tour can not be put into words. We chose a 3d2n trip from Yogyakarta to Broml and Ijen that ended in Bali. The tour was really well-organized and a pleasant experience from start to finish. The hostels that we stayed exceeded our expectations, the tour guides are very nice and friendly people who are ready to help with whatever you need and the views that you get from the top of the volcanos are simply breathtaking.

This was an amazing experience, a must do when you are in Java and you want to end in Bali !! It’s a quite intensive tour because you have to get up very early to see the sunrises, but it is 100% worth it. The views were incredible and seeing the active vulcanos is a very unique experience. We did the trip with Imam and he was very friendly, helpful and learned us a lot about Java/Indonesia. We were very relaxed with him and it was a pleasure to have him as our driver! The hotel room near to Bromo was cold and not that cosy, but the hotel near to Ijen was a lot better and very nice!! Everything was well organised and really nice so that’s 5 stars worth for us!

We did the YOGYAKARTA BROMO IJEN BALI TOUR (5D4N) and had a blast! Booking and communication regarding the trip with Sofyan was always good and fast. I especially appreciated the option to pay via Revolut transfer which saved us a ton of fees. The first two days in Yogyakarta were great, we really enjoyed Borobudur and Prambanan (both a must see!) with our two guides Dwi and Adam who were both great. In our opinion Setumbu Hill and Sultan Palace could be skipped though. Train ride to Surabaya was smooth and comfortable and our guide (Theo) and driver (Hendri) for the next few days were already waiting for us. Bromo and Ijen were both stunning and definitely worth the early start. Theo showed us a great spot to the highest viewpoint in Bromo which not many people know. Hendri was also a great and safe driver for the long trips between. All guides and drivers during the tour were extremly punctual and accomodating and you will have a great time with any of them. All in all a great tour and we recommend Java Adventure Trails 100%

This was such a great experience, especially as a solo traveller. Everything was taken care of and I could just relax and enjoy experiencing some really stunning parts of Indonesia. This was a great combination of temples and volcanoes and waterfalls so that it was culture and adventure together. Early mornings and big days of driving were worth it for the views and the bits of history and knowledge that my guides shared with me. I chose the homestay option and there were some great spots I wish I could’ve stayed longer in, with quirky but cool rooms and lovely owners. All my drivers and guides were great but special shout out to tour guide Andre and driver Adi who made it feel like a road trip with friends, took all the Instagram-worthy photos and videos like it was a personal photo shoot, knew all the tricks to get the best spots, and who didn’t let a traffic jam or road block stop us from getting to our next destination and me making it to the ferry.
