Prambanan Temple And Ramayana Ballet Show (Vip Seat With Dinner)

Our driver, Hanif and the guide, Mr Rico who took us around Prambanan, were both excellent! Hanif was very pleasant and informative during our drive to and back from Prambanan. Our guide for Prambanan was so knowledgeable and expertly shared the history of the temple and the story of Ramayana on the temple walls in such an interesting way with some humour thrown in. Our table at the restaurant and seats for the Ramayana ballet were 1st class with the view of Prambanan in the background; absolutely spectacular! The whole experience was beyond my expectation.

This was the most unforgettable part of our trip to Indonesia! It was absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend booking the experience with the meal included. The entire event was exceptionally well organized and truly first-class. An amazing experience from start to finish!

A really full day experience for explore almost in depth the most important sightseeing in Yogyakarta. Very well planned, organised and executed. Not waisted a minute that we had, because of the small delay of my flight. Dhori, my driver, came to pick me up from the airport, as we had arranged, at a extra cost, and he was amazing, a true company, very patient and extra caring. I really enjoyed every moment of that tour, especially since all entrances were including a guide. The dinner near Ramayana Ballet Show was also included in my booking and it was a special experience, since we had the Pranbanan temple enlighten just Infront of us, but the buffet was also very tasteful. A truly worth booking tour without any hesitation. You gain so much time and anxious and you are just enjoying. As tiresome as you might get you don't have to miss it.

We had a wonderful day exploring Merapi and Prambanan. The jeep ride was a fun adventure, and Prambanan was beautiful. Our jeep guide on the Merapi Lava Tour was great. He explained everything clearly and answered all our questions in a way that was easy to understand. The local guide Hedra arranged at Prambanan was also excellent. He brought the temple’s history and stories to life, making our visit even more enjoyable and memorable. Our driver Hedra was very friendly, patient, and helpful. He took care of all the arrangements and made everything run smoothly, so we could relax and enjoy the day. Thank you, Hedra and the team, for such a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

A beautiful tour and experience! Seeing Prambanen Temple at sunset was a highlight of our overall trip and our guide was very informative. We learned a lot about the culture and Hinduism. Afterwards the dinner was very good and the Ramayana Ballet was excellent. It is more of a dance/drama than traditional ballet that tells the epic Hindu story of Rama and Sita. Loved the costumes and live gamelan music accompanying the dance... all set against the backdrop of Prambanen temple. It was very helpful that there were screens in Indonesian and English to help us understand the story of Rama and Sita as it was being played out. Highly recommend!!

Eko, our driver, was wonderful. He was punctual, spoke good English and was a safe driver. He constantly kept in touch with us via Whatsapp. He picked us up on time, took care of the entry tickets, walked us into the temple and introduced us to the guide, Mr. Jono, who then gave us a tour of the prambanan temple. Mr. Jono was very knowledgeable and gave a very detailed explanation about the culture and history of the Prambanan and Sewu temples. After this, Eko picked us up and drove us to see the ramayana ballet. The VIP seats were worth it as they were quite comfortable and were right in the front row. After the show, Eko was waiting for us right outside and hence was easy to find. We had a wonderful experience.

We spent a wonderfull day with our guide Fajar. The day's activities where well arranged, there was clear communication and ample time to make sure the day went smoothly. Fajar is punctual, he is a good driver, communicator and an interesting conversation partner. We spent two days with him and would recommend the borobodursunrise tour operator and specifically their guide Fajar. Specifically on this tour: We were picked up at our hotel and driven by Fajar to the Prambanan temple where a private guide was waiting for us, after a guided tour, which included a summary of the story told in the Ramayana ballet. We were given free time to visit the other three temples and choose where to enjoy the sunset. The colors on the Sewu temple during golden hour were beautiful! Afterwards Fajar drove us to a restaurant with view on the main hindu temple right next to the ballet stage. While we were enjoying dinner, Fajar arranged our tickets. Such a luxuory. We enjoyed the ballet with a drink in great seats. The most valuable thing about this tour is the relaxing, and stress-free arrangement. Till next time, maybe, Fajar?

Hendra was a great careful driver, made sure I was in the right place and right time and always friendly and informative. Sanu, the guide at Prambanan was also really good and really well prepared with a torch for inside the temples and took lots of photos of me. I have great photos of the sunset over the temples and the ballet was great too, the setting really adds to the story. Front row (D) was great but row A had slightly better view of temples. VIP definitely worth it. Buffet meal a bit average but I didn’t book for the food

An absolute highlight of our trip to Yogyakarta! Everything from hotel pickup to the final scene of the ballet was seamlessly organized. Our driver, Hanif, was friendly, safe, and incredibly knowledgeable about history. While our private guide, Pak Jono, brings the history of the magnificent Prambanan Temple alive with great storytelling as we walked through the ancient stone carvings in the late afternoon.The dinner at Rama Shinta resto before the show was delicious and relaxing. Getting the VIP seat for the Ramayana Ballet Show was 100% worth it—having comfortable seating with a direct view of the stage and the illuminated temple backdrop made the performance feel truly magical. The dance, music, and colorful costumes were breathtaking. Highly recommend this smooth, all-inclusive private tour! Worth the price!

This tour gives a busy but extremely fulfilling day, hitting most of the major cultural sites in the Yogyakarta reason. The Sultan's Palace and Water Palace are both gorgeous, and the ancient ruins of Prambanan are a true wonder being restored in modern times. The versiom of the tour with dinner and the Ramayana ballet is also great. The buffet dinner was tasty and the overlook of Prambanan as you eat is unreal! Finally, you get to enjoy a unique and very interesting traditional performance art, with some particularly crazy fire effects. This was my second tour with the Borobodur Sunrise company, after doing the titular Borobodur tour a few days prior, and this was also very well-organized. My driver Rafli was always eager to help with any issues and kept to a full but not rushed schedule, getting me where I needed to be ahead of time. Many thanks!

This is such a wonderful experience and organised so well. We had Bhimo collect us at our hotel and he was so accommodating even though we were late because our flight was delayed. We were brought to each location and shown exactly were to go. The temples were beautiful and our guide was very knowledgable with lots of interesting stories. When the sun set through the temples it was breathtaking. Bhimo was there to collect us straight away after the temples and brought us to dinner and brought us right to our table which had views of the temple at night. The buffet style food was delicious and very welcomed after all our walking at the temple. Once again Bhimo was there to get us as soon as we were finished and brought us directly to our seats for the Ballet. The ballet was amazing and luckily our guide had told us the storyline earlier so were able to follow along easily. Finally Bhimo brought us home and gave us lots of helpful tips for our travels along the way. We did this trip straight after flying into Yogyakarta and were worried we would be too tired but it was organised so well, you are escorted around and simply can’t go wrong and everything was beautiful and interesting.

Our driver Fajar was great! He was punctual, made us feel very safe and was so lovely! He took us to the temple and brought us to our guide, then picked us up for dinner and even explained all different dishes, brought us to our seats in the ballet, and then brought us home safely! He also was great at sharing the history of the temple and tips for the city! We also loved our guide Seno in the temple. It was a great tour, he took us to the best spots and also took great pictures :)

The whole tour was excellent. Hendra picked me up punctually from my hotel at 2pm and got me safely to Prambanan for an afternoon/sunset tour. Prambanan guide Wagiyu was extremely knowledgeable and had a knack for storytelling, really helping to make the place come alive. After the tour, I was taken to a lovely buffet dinner (which included a fair few vegetarian options) overlooking the temple. The Ramayana ballet was fantastic and the VIP seat made it even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a marvelous evening, thanks in no small part to Hendra and the organisers.

Everything was very well organised from start to finish. Contact a day or so in advance, collection on time and then everything else worked like clockwork. Hanif was polite and informative, and ensured we were where we needed to be at exactly the right time, and the temple guide Kukuh was excellent with a huge knowledge and perfect English. We really enjoyed the ballet especially the section before the break which was spectacular! Overall a really enjoyable afternoon and evening for all the family! It's worth paying the extra for the VIP ticket and access, it's a lot of money but it does make the whole experience more relaxed and simpler, especially with kids.

This was a brilliant trip and is a definite to go and see. Our your guide Bhimo was wonderful. He was really flexible with times and gave us advice on not only this trip but other things to do. He took us to the temple where we met up with a temple guide who was equally great and very knowledgeable.Thr buffet dinner was lovely- something for even the fussiest of eaters. We didn't know what to expect from that ballet but so glad we chose that. The seats we had were amazing and the ballet was like nothing we've ever seen before. Outstanding.

The experience itself is amazing, but what made it even more special was our guide, Bhimo. He was incredibly helpful, kind, friendly and well-organized. I recommend this expierience!

We had a lovely experience overall. Our driver,Dayu, was excellent. He was patient and thoughtful throughout, quick to respond to all questions and requests. Perhaps mistakingly, I assumed we would have a private family tour of Prambanan (specifically booked this way with my 6yo in mind), but ended up in a group with 14 others. This ended up being more challenging as expected, and was overwhelming for my daughter. The dinner was good with excellent views of the temple and the show was fantastic.

Fajar was a great! He explained various aspects of Indonesian culture to us on the drive and also hand held us through the entire evening, handing us off to the tour guide, later taking us to the dinner, even recommending what my pescitarian daughter could try out, and eventually seating us in the Ballet VIP area. I needed to pick up meds for my daughter and Fajar stopped on the way back to the hotel and helped me get the meds. He is a very nice human being and anybody who gets paired up with him will be in great and very friendly hands! Both the dinner and Ramayana ballet were also excellent. The icing on the cake is the beautiful setting of the resto, with a full view of the temples.

This was fantastic. Highly recommend and spring for VIP seats with cushions. We also had private car and driver from hotel to venue and dinner at adjacent restaurant with sunset view right over the temple. Performance riveting. We are pretty demanding when it comes to ballet and honestly I have never seen anything like this. If you come to Yogyakarta must do! Viator did a great job coordinating.

Faraj was our driver/guide, he took us to the show and brought us back to the hotel. He also provided us the tickets to the show. The dinner included was delicious with numerous vegetarian options. Ramayana ballet was a wonderful show, we thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Everything about this tour was excellent from start to finish. The organization was flawless, the temple visit was fantastic, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. I had booked the visit to Prambanan temple and Ramayana ballet with Viator, their partners being "borobudursunrise.com" One day after the booking I received a mail saying all the seats for Ramayana ballet were sold out. They, however, assured that the weather permitting, they will assuredly get a ticket for the ballet. I had kept my fingers crossed. Fortunately the weather turned out to be clear on the day of the scheduled visit. Their driver - Bima - arrived at three hotel before the scheduled time and took us to the venue. He organized the visit to Prambanan temple very efficiently and smoothly. He took us to the venue of ballet. I saw that there was a huge crowd for buying on-the-spot tickets. Bima organized the buying so smoothly that I didn't even know when he bought them. He offered to accommodate us in his air-conditioned vehicle till the start of the show. When they gates opened, he came with us till the theatre gate and explained everything to the staff, made sure that we felt comfortable, and then left to wait outside for us. He also arranged to take our photographs with brightly lit Prambanan temple in the background. Ballet was really grand, especially, Lanka Dahan scene. All thanks to Bima, the great, pleasant guy.

Nana was an amazing driver. He was prompt, friendly and offered excellent service. It was a long day as we visited many, many sites but Nana patiently took us to all of them and got us there and back safely. Highly recommend!

Our private guide Jono (selected by tour agency) is an excellent storyteller and we thoroughly enjoyed his tour of Prambanan and the three Buddhist temples. Eko picked us from Candi Sewu to the dinner/ performance venue by car, so we need not walk back to the Prambanan entrance. Buffet dinner had a good spread with reserved table facing an illuminated Prambanan, and the outdoor performance was enchanting. We could easily follow the plot after Jono's explanation of the Ramayana bas-reliefs in Prambanan, and it was useful learning the legend in its entirety as the ballet focused only on core chapters.

Our driver was very prompt and moved us between activities without a glitch. Only suggestion is to let people know when the temple tour is over, it is a long walk back to meeting point and it was honestly a bit unclear. We thought about staying at the temple for sunset but would have immensely late getting back to the car. The buffet dinner was fine for my husband, I liked the soup. But the show is the climax and we had front row seats, no one blocking our photos. It was a bit expensive but I would still recommend it! Not for less than teenagers.

Truly an incredible experience! The package consists of private vehicle transportation to & from Prambanan Temple, a private tour of the temple, dinner and the Ramayana ballet. As noted in my Borobudur sunrise review, booking directly with the operator was a seamless process and the driver allocated to me, Eko, is personable, fluent in English and always eager to help. He seemed to have handpicked the local guide Jono, who obviously knows his Ramayana and took great pains to explain the storyline as illustrated in the beautiful stone carvings sorrounding the Shiva temple. Dinner was at a reserved table overlooking the illuminated temple complex. For the Ramayana ballet, I had a reserved seat with a great view of the stage and temple backdrop. The performance was outstanding. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Our driver communicated well before the tour, was a very safe driver, and gave clear instructions when he wasn’t with us. Another guide took us thru Prambanan, then handed us back to Pras. Our buffet dinner was well-presented and tasty. Pras walked us to the theatre for the ballet and was just outside, easy to locate, when the ballet was over. A very enjoyable evening.

Fucjar was an excellent driver and guide. The entire experience was excellent - from pick-up to drop-off. Fucjar had prepared umbrellas and raincoats for us which was great because we ended up having significant rainfall while we were trying to visit the smaller temples. My husband and I were stuck under a sign, hoping for the rain to pass. Fucjar moved the car as close as he could to the pick-up area, then shared his location via WhatsApp so we knew how to get out. He even offered to give my husband his slides to wear because my husband's shoes were soaking wet! The rain let up during dinner, and we had a lovely meal at the buffet restaurant before the show. Our seats for the ballet were excellent. It was shorter than we expected but that may be because it was indoors. We really enjoyed our evening. We also appreciated having good conversation with Fucjar, as well as how well he took care of us - we felt spoiled. LOL. I highly recommend this activity for anyone who enjoys a good cultural experience.

Great experience overall - I was happy I booked it Highlights : Eko ( the driver ) couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish and the Ballet was absolutely fantastic - the artistry and skill of the performers was wonderful Negatives : The guide was with me at Prambunan for literally 60 minutes only - it was very rapid - it would have been better if it had been 2 hours so we could have seen the three Buddhist temples there aswell and done it all at a slightly more relaxed pace Also dinner wasn’t great - lukewarm buffet of very average quality 🫣

Our guides, eko and ricco, were both amazing. Eko picked us up on time and pointed out places of interest on the way and gave us a brief history of the city of Yogyakarta. Ricco was very thorough in walking us around the Prambanan temple and the story of Ramayana which really helped us appreciate the ballet show that followed a big buffet dinner. The ballet performers were superb in their movements and the spectacle was absolutely enjoyable. Eko dropped us back at the hotel. We were a little exhausted after the long day but we were very pleased with the experience.

Seeing the Prambanan and the Ramayana was wonderful. Our driver was very attentive and our local guide was very knowledgeable about the temple itself. They both spoke good English and were easy to understand. Watching the ballet was very cool to see, especially after seeing the story in the relief in one of the temples. We ended up really only seeing one of the temples up close, but I really enjoyed the tour
