Excellent tour with Pak Rio as our driver and guide . We enjoyed our tour to all areas listed . Plenty of time given to explore . Pak Rio gave us a lot of Java history and we really enjoyed his company . We went on to visit Sultans Palace , Water castle and museum next day with stop at Batik factory and shop . We visited Mediterranea Restaurant on his recommendation and really enjoyed this . Service was very prompt and easy to communicate via WhatsApp . We recommend this tour company and will be booking with Pak Rio again when we return .

Rio was a great guide, he showed us around Java explaining costumes and traditions. He suggested us the places to visit and where to eat. He drove us from the Jomblang cave, to the amazing Bromo mountain and finally to the wonderful Ijen crater. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend!

Special visit to the fields near Ijen. We have planned to visit the famous blue fires, but due to the danger of emissions the volcano area was closed. The schedule change has given us the opportunity to visit an amazing rural area! In a guided walk we have been visiting the agricultural and forestry fields of a so nice rural fields, and a lot of explanations about crops, harvest and living. It has been a very interesting experience to know real javanese life. We thank our guide, Wedha, for his great job! Terima kasih!

I really enjoyed this tour, the mountain views from Mount Bromo and Kawah Ijen are stunning. The blue fire and the blue lake are amazing, one of the thing you have to see in your life. Javanese Vacation helped us to book hotel. Rio our guide is amazing, he knows very well history and culture of Java and Indonesia. This was one of the best trips of my life. The mountain views are very stunning and unique. Also a crater with very cool blue flames. My guide was named Rio and he was a very nice person. You can ask all kinds of questions and he will answer them quite clearly and well. Rio always asked about my condition when we walked long distances. After two days of adventure, I was taken to the port in Bali and continued my holiday there, where I happened to meet my friend and we did lots of exciting things there!

After being confused about looking for travel services for my holiday with my family, I tried using the services of Java Vacation and didn't regret it at all. My family really enjoyed this trip and the views of the mountains were very beautiful. Our tour guide answered all our questions well, especially my kids' weird questions! I booked all my 7 days trip with Javanese travel If I compare the prices with other online ones, it was quite cheaper I even booked a trip to Bromo from the hotel and they picked me up in a car and showed me not just Bromo, but also many attractions on the way like Madakaripura, Plaosan etc. They even arranged vegetarian food at every place I went The tour guides have excellent knowledge of the history of Java and speak excellent English On the last day they even helped me do a lot of shopping like batik, coffee etc.

I don’t really write reviews but felt compelled after the effort Rio and his team put in to make my trip an unforgettable one! Another tour operator canceled my Mount Bromo trip on me at the last minute which threw my backpacking plans into a mess. Having used Javanese adventures for a trip to visit Jomblang Cave earlier in the day and seeing how much I enjoyed it, I messaged Rio to see if they had any last minute openings for Mount Bromo to get my itinerary back on track. Two hours later (and 7 hours from sunrise), we were in a car leaving Jogja to Mount Bromo. With the weekend traffic, road shutdowns in Malang from the brush fires, heavy traffic going to the peak it really felt like this wasn’t going to work out. Rio pulled out all the stops and miraculously got me to the peak of Pananjakan 1 to see the amazing sight with 30 minutes to spare. Many other groups were stuck at the bottom of the hill due to the heavy traffic and I’m pretty confident that no other tour operator would have been able to make this happen for me. Rio and team were super attentive on the trip and is full of Javanese knowledge to explain culture/history. With his help, I was able to see the amazing Mount Bromo sunrise from the highest peak, climb the volcano afterwards, and get some amazing photos in hidden locations. Even after the trip was way over, I found out that I had left my sunglasses in the cracks of the car seat and he went out if his way to get them delivered back to me by the next day. All in all, I had an amazing time and can’t help out recommend this group enough to others.

This trip was absolutely incredible and a great way to see some of the more difficult to reach destinations in Java. It’s a lot of time spent in the car during the day but our driver Rio was amazing and really helped to pass the time. He was a wealth of knowledge as to the history of both the places we were seeing as well as the island of Java itself. He also gave showed us a few of the less visited temples in the way out of Yogyakarta and gave us a ton of recommendations of things to do and places to see across all of Indonesia. It’s worth noting that this trip is not all-inclusive like some other tours that are available, notably it does not include entrance fees or hotel accommodations. That said, if you are willing to do a bit of the planning yourself you will save money doing the tour this way. My girlfriend and I paid $589 total for this trip, other tours which included lodging and entrance fees were in the neighborhood of $500/person. I kept track of all our additional expenses to see if it makes sense to book this tour or an all-inclusive one and this is better by a few hundred dollars, getting to be even better by of a deal as your group size increases (up to about 4, or however many can comfortably fit in a car). Here is the breakdown. 63,000 - entrance fee to Bromo village (per vehicle) 500,000 - jeep rental up Bromo 275,000 - Deddy Homestay in Bromo 220,000pp (weekday) / 330,000pp (fri-sun) - Bromo entry fee 360,000 - Omah Bapak Eco house Ijen hotel 100,000pp (weekday) / 150,000pp (fri-sun) - Ijen entry fee All together it came to 1,838,000rp given we went on weekdays, which is ~$123 split between us or $712 total. We saved $200-$300 booking through this company and I imagine a group of 3-4 would save even more. If you are going solo the all inclusive tours are probably a better deal since I’m assuming they would put you with a group to help spread out costs. Overall, we highly recommend this trip and this company. If you decide to do it definitely request Rio as your driver!

The experience was fantastic. First of all, Rio, our guide, was very helpful in meeting all our needs in terms of timing and travel. Thanks to this we were able to do both stages with a very fast pace. The locations are fantastic: they are worth the effort of walking and waking up at dawn. Get ready for the cold because you climb a lot! P.s. all this was framed by the kindness and humanity of Rio that recommended restaurants, places to sleep, told stories, offered food and drink. Really a special presence.

Riu picked up our family from the airport in Yogyakarta and then drove and accompanied us for 10 days through Java to Bali. He gave us great advice and made many great viewing suggestions. Everything worked out fantastically and we learned interesting things about Jananese and Balinese culture. Farewell was very difficult for us at the end.

The 4 days spent with Rio were simply wonderful and totally contributed to the success of our honeymoon. We visited Yogyakarta, Borobudur, Bromo and Ijen. Great experience! Highly recommended. We extended the Bromo package by one day, starting from Yogyakarta and arriving in Bali. We moved with a very large van, and being in 6 we were very comfortable. The driver (Rio) was among the most beautiful surprises of the holiday, really helpful and kind. He speaks English very well and loves to share Indonesian culture as a full-fledged Guide, so at the end of the tour our experience was considerably richer. His suggestions on places to see and restaurants made our lives much easier by avoiding too touristy places: on the penultimate day, for example, we changed the itinerary on his initiative and he took us to a beautiful beach north of Bali. We arrived in Indonesia and a friend had recommended Wedha, we trusted and of course we were thrilled! With him we first visited the famous temples of Yogyakarta and then left for excursions: Bromo and Jien. Wedha was super kind and complied with our every request, even to customize the tour by adding the stage of Tumpak Sewu Falls. I did a 3 day tour with pickup in Yogyakarta and ending at the ferry terminal for Bali. En route visit Mt Bromo at sunrise and Ijen crater to admire the “blue lights” at night. Rio, whom I had contacted by WhatsApp, quickly replied to me and he came to see me at my hotel in Yogyakarta to discuss my expectations (possibility of visiting other places on the route). Very attentive, we were spoiled the day we left by local specialties at breakfast. Arrived in Probolingo after our train ride, we were taken care of by Beni! This man is an angel, our guardian angel of Java. Beni always responded to all our requests and sometimes even anticipated them. He has always been vigilant to our safety and well-being. We are a family of five Spaniards from Madrid who currently live in Malaysia. On our first visit to Indonesia we chose Javanesa Vacation Indonesia and it was a success. Rio has been a great driver and a great guide. We had scheduled visits to Borobudur and Prambanan. The day we were going to Mount Bromo we had plenty of time in the morning and he proposed a couple of very interesting visits. Also the sites he recommended for breakfast, lunch or shopping were ideal. On the visit to Bromo he accompanied us in the morning to make sure we were taken to the best places to see the sunrise.
